Kim Geon-in turned his head sharply and, almost instinctively, blocked the attack.

There was a "poof" sound.

A gleaming dagger pierced Jin Jianren's palm, and blood spurted from the pierced hand. At the same time, a pale face flashed before Jin Jianren's eyes.

That's Jin Ming.

"We swore an oath with a high five, big brother!"

With red eyes, Jin Ming swiftly pulled the dagger from Jin Jianren's pierced hand, and then stabbed at Jin Jianren's neck again.

"You attacked me?" Jin Jianren was both shocked and furious at the sudden turn of events. He slapped Jin Ming's wrist with his backhand, uttering words of disbelief.

With a "snap," the golden dagger that had struck his right wrist trembled and fell from his palm.

But he caught it with his left hand and thrust it at Kim Geon-in again.

"Heaven and Earth bear witness to my heart's betrayal and ingratitude! May Heaven and Man punish me!" Jin Ming cried out, but her movements were swift and fierce.

"You idiot!!!" With a roar, Jin Ming's left wrist was grabbed, and the dagger stopped in mid-air.

Jin Ming's face was covered in tears. She quickly reached up with her right hand and used both hands to thrust the dagger forward, but Jin Jianren was extremely strong. With just one hand, he made it impossible for Jin Ming to move.

The next instant, Jin Jianren slapped Jin Ming across the face with his pierced hand. The slap, dripping with blood, landed heavily on Jin Ming's face, leaving a bloody handprint.

In an instant, Jin Ming fell off his horse.

However, his left wrist was twisted and broken by Jin Jianren the moment he fell off the horse, and the dagger was snatched away by Jin Jianren.

Jin Ming, whose left wrist was twisted, got up from the ground. His pale face didn't show much pain, but he was still crying out:

"Heaven and Earth bear witness to this heart; those who betray righteousness and forget kindness shall be condemned by both Heaven and man!"

With those words, he took two quick steps, grabbed a sharp knife hanging on the horse's back, and slashed at Kim Geon-in!

but--

Almost the instant he moved, several assassins sprang out from the side, their blades aimed at Jin Ming's vital points.

"Get out of my way, all of you!!!"

With a loud shout, Jin Jianren drew his long sword and swiftly slashed Jin Ming's sword, causing Jin Ming to stumble and fall to the ground.

The assassins standing nearby immediately retreated.

"Jin Ming! What are you doing! Are you going to attack me?!" Jin Jianren jumped off his horse, brandishing his sword and roaring at Jin Ming, who was getting up from the ground.

Jin Ming, her face covered in blood, picked up the knife from the ground and slashed at Jin Jianren again, all the while crying out:

"Heaven and Earth bear witness to this heart..."

Before he could finish speaking, with a clang, the two knives clashed together!

Sparks flew everywhere!

Jin Ming was slammed backward, taking two steps back. But before he could regain his footing, Jin Jianren kicked him in the chest.

With a loud thud, Jin Ming collapsed to the ground, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

Kim Geon-in's shouts and curses followed immediately:

"What are you doing, you idiot!"

"Back then! You were a reckless fool, spending your days hanging out at the Embroidery Garden Restaurant, living a life of debauchery!"

"It was me! It was me who made you follow me, join the army and become a general. I taught you how to fight, taught you military strategy, and nurtured you little by little!"

"You're going to fight me today?! You want to kill me?!"

"Jin Ming!!"

Kim Geon-in's face was contorted with rage, his eyes seeming to spit fire.

Jin Ming clutched her chest, her pale face filled with grief.

He held a knife in one hand and braced himself on the ground as he slowly stood up, but his eyes were fixed on Kim Geon-in who was walking towards him.

Sudden--

He quickly bent down, took two steps forward, and then slashed with his sword!

but--

The knife did not strike Kim Geon-in's face as planned; it stopped in mid-air.

However, Jin Jianren moved even faster, reaching out to grab Jin Ming's wrist holding the knife, preventing Jin Ming from delivering the final blow.

"I left the others behind and chose to take you with me, but you want to kill me?!" Jin Jianren shouted through gritted teeth.

Overwhelmed by the pain, Jin Ming could no longer hold the knife.

But as Jin Jianren was speaking, Jin Ming suddenly opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood into Jin Jianren's face.

The spurting blood drenched Kim Geon-in's head and face, blurring his vision for a moment.

Jin Ming, like a mad dog, slammed his head into Jin Jianren's face.

With a loud thud, Jin Jianren was hit hard and couldn't help but groan.

His right eyebrow bone fractured, and blood flowed from his nose.

Even so, he still held Jin Ming's wrist tightly.

But the knife in his other hand was already pressed against Jin Ming's neck, and he stared at Jin Ming with a ferocious expression.

Despite being restrained, Jin Ming continued to desperately press the blade forward.

He seemed to have lost his mind at this moment, still crying out, and Jin Jianren happened to speak at the same time, their words almost overlapping.

"You're so stupid, Jin Ming!"

"Heaven above..."

"To achieve great things, one must be ruthless. What happened today was a last resort for me."

“This is a true reflection of my heart.”

“I wouldn’t want to sacrifice them unless it was absolutely necessary, so it’s not my fault.”

"Ungrateful and treacherous."

"This isn't my fault! If anyone's to blame, it's the rebels who came too fast and had too many troops. What could I do? What could I possibly do?"

Kim Geon-in roared, and for the first time, frustration appeared on his usually composed face, a frustration mixed with anger and helplessness.

"Heaven and man shall slay him!!" At this moment, Jin Ming also roared, his face equally ferocious and terrifying.
