In the Great Qian Dynasty, Qin Ze, who transmigrated and became the son of the Tiger Might General, was cast aside by the Empress after she used him, stripped of his military power, and enfeoffed t...
Blood dripped from the tip of the sword onto the deck, the dripping sound like a heavy hammer striking Clemento.
He was both shocked and furious, and could hardly believe what was happening before his eyes.
The man before them, who called himself the "King of Yan," actually beheaded Augustus with a single sword strike!
Although the battle was lost and everyone was now prisoners, Augustus was, after all, the admiral of the Hunnic navy. How could he be killed so easily, like slaughtering a wild dog?
"Yan Kingdom? Its ruler?" Clemento looked at Qin Ze in alarm.
"The Great Gan Dynasty is the old dynasty, now called the Yan Kingdom. I have just ascended the throne." Qin Ze walked towards Clemento with his sword in hand and said expressionlessly.
"You...! What are you going to do?!"
"We have surrendered! We are prisoners now, you cannot kill us at will!"
As Clemento saw Qin Ze slowly approaching, a chill ran down his spine. He keenly sensed a palpable killing intent sweeping towards him.
"You came all this way with your fleet to invade our country, and now you've been defeated. Is surrendering enough?" Qin Ze walked up to Clemento, planted his sword in the deck, and looked at Clemento, whose face was ashen.
Having learned from Augustus's example, Clementus dared not argue any further and could only say:
"You have already won and destroyed seventy percent of our warships. We are now prisoners of war, and you should..."
Qin Ze interrupted coldly: "What should we do? Take you back to our country and feed you well? Wait for your country to send people to ransom you?"
Before Clemento could speak, Chief of Staff Wilson, overcome with fear, spoke first:
"We can negotiate! Anything is fine, as long as you release us!"
Qin Ze turned to look at Wilson, and Wilson trembled as he was met with that cold gaze.
"So what if we don't let go?" Qin Ze asked, looking up at him.
These words made Wilson even more flustered, while Clemento gritted his teeth and said:
"You have won this battle, but our nation is far stronger than you imagine! We only lost because we underestimated you due to intelligence failures. In terms of national strength, our Sa Ri Kingdom is far superior to yours! I hope you think this through!"
"Killing us will do you no good at all!"
Qin Ze listened quietly, while Clemento lowered his head and then said reluctantly:
"We have suffered heavy casualties and paid a great price. Having learned this lesson, we will not come back to attack the Yan Kingdom on a large scale again."
After he finished speaking, Qin Ze pursed his lips slightly, turned his head, and smiled at the Yan soldiers behind him:
Have you ever seen prisoners like this?
"It doesn't sound like he's begging for mercy, it sounds like he's threatening me."
"It's like I'm courting death if I don't agree to their conditions, haha."
The Yan soldiers glared angrily at Clemento, and the hot-tempered Dian Wei, unable to contain himself any longer, burst into a tirade:
"Go to hell! Who gave you the guts to threaten us now!"
"You bunch of dogs can't change your nature of eating shit!"
"You've only lost, you haven't given up!"
Upon hearing this, Clemento blushed and looked at Dian Wei.
Dian Wei glared and roared, "You son of a bitch! Your mouth is harder than your bones!"
Qin Ze chuckled softly.
Upon hearing the laughter, Wilson felt a chill run down his spine. The scene from just moments ago was still vivid in his mind, which terrified him even more. He hurriedly tried to explain:
"No, no, we admit defeat..."
Before he could finish speaking, Clemento suddenly shouted, "Enough!"
He raised his head and said coldly, "Those here are from various countries on the continent of Leon. We lost this battle, there's nothing to say about that, but we surrendered, and that's the end of it."
“You are willing to become prisoners of war, and you can exchange this for some compensation.”
Qin Ze smiled faintly and nodded to Clemento.
Seeing Qin Ze's reaction, Clemento felt more confident and straightened his back slightly, continuing, "Queen Isabella will agree to your request."
"Let this war end completely. As you said, you have only recently ascended the throne and surely do not want any more war to break out and affect domestic stability."
"Then this is the best way to resolve the war. You are the emperor, and I think you should understand what is most beneficial to your country."
"Now we know what kind of country your Yan Kingdom is. We will not come again. This battle has proven that your Yan Kingdom is a powerful country. All the countries on the Leon Continent will respect and fear you from now on, and will not wage any war against you again."
After he finished speaking, Qin Ze nodded without saying a word.
Seeing his appearance, Wilson felt a surge of joy and added:
"Yes, that's it!"
"This battle has made it clear to us that your Yan Kingdom is very strong, so we will never have a conflict with you again."
"Our nation, Saar, is a great power, and so are you. Great powers should treat each other with peace!"
"Peace, only peace is the most important thing!" He forced a stiff smile at Qin Ze, then looked at the others:
"Right, don't you all agree?"
“Yes, that’s right,” the people kneeling on the ground echoed.
Dian Wei spat, but Qin Ze's smile widened. He then looked at Clemento, who had lowered his head again and remained silent, and asked with a smile:
