Chapter 907 Judgment Day 1

At 7 p.m., the convoy finally arrived safely at the heavily guarded Royal Castle after a series of twists and turns.

Led by Bowerman, von Palen was escorted into the Royal Castle, which was now filled with the Royal Guard, all members of the Storm Special Combat Team. As for the officials who had not participated in the gathering, regardless of whether any of them had participated in the riot, they were now gathered in the guest building and placed under unified control.

Upon entering the castle, von Palen did not meet with the officials, but went directly to the main palace, which had been emptied. After leaving Bowerman waiting outside, he went up to the second floor alone.

Hurrying along, Feng Palen quickly arrived at a washroom on the second floor.

When he reached the vanity, he took off his hat, placed his hands on the table, and looked at the mirror expressionlessly. His face reflected in the mirror was pale with a bloodstain, and his chin was swollen.

After watching quietly for a long time, Feng Palen reached for the basin of water and splashed the water on his face.

When cold water droplets wet your hair and slide down your face, a slight stinging sensation follows.

The next moment, a loud "bang" was heard.

But suddenly, Feng Palen threw a punch, smashing it into the mirror on the dressing table.

The mirror shattered like a spiderweb, and then several pieces fell off with a crackling sound. Among the shards that remained, a fragmented face was reflected.

"Bang bang bang!"

Feng Palen slammed his fist into the table three times in a row, and even the shards of mirror that had fallen on the table jumped up.

He then ripped open his coat, throwing it and the punctured leather pouch inside out, and then forcefully tore off the specially made vest and threw it on the ground.

After doing all this, Von Palen was panting heavily. He stared coldly at his blood-soaked reflection in the shards of the mirror, his fragmented face gradually contorting into a grotesque grimace.

"You messed it up!"

"Damn it! You messed it up!!!" He pointed at the lenses and shouted angrily.

A faint echo could be heard coming from the closed bathroom.

Then.

Tick-tock...tick-tock...

Blood dripped slowly from his cut palm, making the already messy floor even dirtier. Feng Palen ignored it, still pointing at the mirror through gritted teeth, his wet hair hanging down from his forehead, and water droplets gradually falling into his eyes.

"Damn it..."

He dejectedly lowered his hand, but then immediately covered his face with it, frantically rubbing it until his nostrils were filled with the smell of blood before he finally put his hand down.

When looking at the mirror again, the face in the mirror was a mixture of red and white, and the lump on the chin was getting bigger and bigger, even protruding.

Seeing this comical sight, Von Palen backed away while letting out a strange, cold laugh.

It was at this time.

"Your Majesty, are you alright?" Bowerman's voice came from outside the washroom.

"........"

Seeing that von Palen did not answer, Bowerman, who was holding the clothes, felt a pang of anxiety and his face turned somewhat flustered. He immediately pressed for an answer:

"Your Majesty, are you alright..."

Before he could finish speaking, the door was flung open with a bang, and Bowerman saw Von Palen's blood-stained face.

“Your Majesty, what is this…” Bowerman’s pupils contracted, and he visibly panicked, but von Palen interrupted him coldly:

Did I tell you to come with me?

“I’m sorry, Your Majesty, but I think you need to change into some clean clothes, so I…” Bowerman explained as he held up the clothes he was referring to.

Von Palen’s gaze turned cold before shifting from Bowerman to the clothes he was holding.

"I am fine."

With a cold voice, Von Palen turned and went back to the bathroom. Bowerman quickly followed, and upon seeing the mess on the floor and Von Palen's still-bleeding hand, Bowerman said worriedly:

"Your Majesty, you are injured. I must bandage you..."

Von Palen ignored him, washing his bleeding hands in a basin of water as he said, "Have you figured out who was involved in the rebellion?"

Bowerman put the clothes aside, reached for a towel, handed it to von Palen, and said:

“Led by Wolfgang, in the First Army…” He stammered, which made von Palen immediately frown. He snatched the towel Bowerman had handed him and said coldly:

"Don't hide anything; that's foolish."

Bowerman's face darkened, and he continued, "Perhaps two-thirds of the officers in the First Army participated in the mutiny."

Upon hearing this, Feng Palen, who was wiping his hands, froze. Only a few seconds later did he suddenly let out a cold laugh.

That cold laugh immediately sent a chill down Bowerman's spine. He would have accepted it if Von Palen had just roared angrily, since there were too many rebels. But the way Von Palen was behaving was truly worrying.

So he quickly added, "Your Majesty, you don't need to worry."

"The incident happened suddenly, and many people were deceived by Wolfgang. Only a few of his confidants were actually involved in the rebellion; the others had not yet fully understood the situation."

"Their assassination attempt on you failed today, which already doomed them to failure. Those who don't understand the situation will soon realize it, and Wolfgang's group will fall apart."

“Perhaps… they’re already plotting their escape from Salibia right now.” Bowerman looked up at von Palen.

Feng Palen did not respond and began to wipe the blood off his face with a towel.

Bowerman continued, "As for your safety, you needn't worry at all. I've already arranged for special forces to firmly guard the entrances and exits of the Royal Castle. Furthermore, Chief of Staff Thomas is cooperating with my men to quell the riots..."
