Chapter 122 The Monkey King

In the orchard of Yunmeng Sect, a monkey swings on a tree branch, surveying the world before it.

He had round eyes, pointed ears, a hairy face, a thunder god's mouth, a thin face, a pointed mouth and shrunken cheeks, and a body less than four feet tall, like a monkey that eats pine cones.

Although it resembles a human, it lacks cheeks.

"Squeak..."

The monkey had a strange expression on its face, swung on a branch, and made squeaking noises.

Something's not right here. There are lots and lots of wild fruits, but it's not Flower and Fruit Mountain.

He was familiar with Huaguo Mountain.

On the coast of Aolai Kingdom in Dongsheng Shenzhou, there is a Flower and Fruit Mountain.

There is a magical stone on the mountain that has been absorbing the brilliance of the sun and moon since the beginning of time. Slowly, it developed 360 orifices and began to breathe, like an infant.

Finally, one day, the magic stone shattered, and an egg rolled out. This egg, upon being exposed to the wind, transformed into a stone monkey, whose eyes emitted beams of golden light as it paid homage to the four directions.

He is the stone monkey that sprang from the fairy stone.

He could walk and run from birth. When he was thirsty, he would drink spring water from the mountain stream, and when he was hungry, he would eat fruit from the mountain.

They spent their days playing with the animals in the mountains and had a very happy time.

One day, the weather was particularly hot.

To escape the hot weather, the monkeys went to bathe in the mountain stream.

Seeing the spring flowing gurglingly, they followed the stream to find its source.

The monkeys climbed and climbed until they reached the end, where they saw a waterfall that seemed to fall from the sky.

The monkeys were surprised and chattered amongst themselves, saying:

"Whoever dares to venture into the waterfall, find the source of the spring without getting hurt, shall be made king."

After being called three times, the stone monkey suddenly jumped out and shouted, "I'll go in! I'll go in!"

The stone monkey closed its eyes and leaped into the waterfall. Feeling that it wasn't in the water, it opened its eyes and looked around.

I found myself standing on an iron plank bridge, with water rushing through the gaps in the stone beneath, flowing out upside down and obscuring the bridge entrance so that people outside could not see inside.

The stone monkey crossed the bridge and found that it was a wonderful place, with stone chairs, stone beds, stone basins, and stone bowls—everything imaginable.

It looks like someone lived here not long ago; the house is natural, quiet, and clean.

Pots, bowls, ladles, and basins are neatly arranged on the stove.

In the middle is a stone tablet with the inscription: "Blessed land of Huaguo Mountain, grotto heaven of Water Curtain Cave".

The stone monkey was overjoyed and quickly turned around to walk outside, leaping out of the cave in a flash.

When the monkeys saw the stone monkey emerge without a single injury, they were both surprised and delighted. They surrounded him and eagerly asked him about what had happened inside.

The stone monkey scratched its cheek, rubbed its itch, and said to everyone with a grin, "There's no water inside, so it's a good place to stay. We have a place to hide when the wind blows and we're not afraid of getting wet in the rain."

Upon hearing this, the monkeys jumped and danced with joy.

The monkeys followed the stone monkey through the waterfall and into the Water Curtain Cave, where they saw so many wonderful things and began to fight over them.

Some took basins, some took bowls, some occupied the stove, some fought over the bed, moving things back and forth until they were exhausted.

The monkeys kept their promise and worshipped the stone monkey as their king. From then on, the stone monkey ascended the throne, dropped the character "stone," and called himself "Handsome Monkey King."

The Monkey King led his many monkeys on daily excursions to enjoy the mountains and rivers.

A few months later, while playing on the mountain, jumping and skipping, I suddenly ended up in this place.

It startled him.

The monkey startled Green Ivy, because it suddenly appeared. She had lived here for so long and had never heard of a monkey before.

Suddenly a monkey with a pointed snout and shrunken cheeks appeared, startling her so much that she fell to the ground, landing right on the black dog sleeping below.

"There's a monkey." Green Ivy was a little scared. The monkey looked like the Thunder God, with golden eyes that shone brightly. It felt terrifying.

"Woof woof woof..."

The black dog was alert and barked loudly.

How could the Yunmeng Sect possibly have monkeys?

Could it be that this monkey had been hiding in the Yunmeng Sect's orchard all along, only to be discovered today?

If that's the case, then this monkey's strength has already reached the pinnacle of creation.

The black dog panicked a little and immediately activated the "Menstrual Cycle" he had cultivated for many years. Terrifying phenomena appeared on his body, and flames spewed from his nose.

The Vermilion Bird soared, the Black Tortoise ripped through the sky, the Azure Dragon plunged into the sea, and the White Tiger roared. Its body grew taller and larger, protecting the Green Vine behind it, with a knife coiled in its tail and a blade of grass in its mouth.

If this monkey makes a move, I will use my power at the level of a Celestial King to deal with it.

The monkey gave it a strange feeling. Despite its thin face, pointed snout, and smaller than four feet in size, it exuded a terrifying and oppressive power.

No wonder it's a monster that's been hidden in the Yunmeng Sect for tens of thousands of years.

The black dog was about to make a move when it saw the monkey frown, its eyes gleaming, and its body bursting with dazzling golden light—clearly some kind of unknown magic.

"drink."

The black dog slashed out with a single blade of grass, a move with the power to shatter the sun, moon, and stars. He refused to believe he couldn't kill this monkey.

With a "bang," the immortal spiritual power unleashed by the black dog was unloaded by an even more terrifying force, a force that seemed to come from the distant ancient times.

The power was unleashed, suppressing heaven and earth, freezing space, and even the black dog felt a suffocating pressure.

"So strong! This monkey is no good; it must not be allowed to live."

The black dog curled its tail, and the blade wrapped around it burst forth with golden light, preparing to unleash its strongest attack to date.

"Squeak..." The Monkey King stared blankly at the black dog, scratching his head and ears, looking somewhat bewildered.

"You've gotten addicted to it, haven't you?"

Li Ming kicked the black dog away, even though he had clearly unloaded the power of the grass the black dog had unleashed.
