In Dongsheng, a mysterious black mist descended, seemingly containing something terrifying. No one knew what it was. A buzzing sound emanated from the mist, and terrifying scenes filled the world. No one knew what was hidden within, but it felt like something was not simple.

"What is that?" someone asked in surprise.

"I don't know, it just seems kind of scary," another person said.

"Whatever it is, it's none of our business. Even if we encounter something terrifying, all we can do is run away. Let's get out of here as soon as possible!" someone suggested.

"Could it be the descent of gods?" someone asked. "It is said that in ancient times, gods descended from the past, slaughtering all mortals and conquering their kingdoms. They used their overwhelming power to subjugate the entire world. In the end, some of the ancient gods were destroyed in the ancient war, but some still exist. Perhaps they want to use divine essences and magic crystals to enter the ancient era? I think it's unlikely, since the ancient era is too long ago, and current divine essences and magic crystals are simply not suitable for use."

“Now that you mention it, you’re right! But what exactly is in there? I have a really uneasy feeling about it,” someone asked worriedly.

The cultivators from all walks of life in Dongsheng stared at the sky and the black mist, each with their own thoughts. They didn't know how these things had suddenly appeared, but they felt it was extremely excessive. It seemed as if this thing was showing off to them and trying to provoke them.

Buzzing.

Like a swarm of bees, buzzing and swirling in the black mist, the sound made one's head buzz. It sounded really exciting, but also very ominous.

Suddenly, vines fell from the black mist, like rain, continuously crashing down to the ground.

These vines are none other than the manifestations of those terrifying monsters. They dance incessantly, emitting a buzzing sound that doesn't come from the surroundings but follows them, climbing from the ground into the sky.

There was too much black mist; hundreds of thousands of vines danced in the darkness, densely packed and stretching as far as the eye could see, like a dark cloud, making them feel extremely uneasy.

What a terrifying formation! Is such a massive formation intended to kill all the cultivators?

“What should we do? These things seem to be deliberately targeting us!” someone asked.

"Let's go back to the sect and report to the elders! Let them send someone to resolve this matter!" someone suggested. If it were just simple hostility, they wouldn't be afraid at all, since they all had the strength. But with so many things attacking them at once, they dared not be careless.

"Ouch! That hurts!" one of the cultivators cried out. "This shockwave is too powerful! We must retreat!"

Everyone quickly ran back.

But they forgot that they had already flown a distance in the sky and it was impossible to turn back in such a short distance. So their bodies lost control halfway through the journey and plummeted downwards at an increasingly faster speed.

"Help!" someone shouted. "Help!"

But they were high in the sky, and no one would listen to their cries for help. They could only wait in despair for their death, or rather, be swallowed up by the shockwave.

"This..." Seeing their bodies plummeting downwards, a group of cultivators screamed in terror, but their current situation did not allow them to change their course; their bodies continued to fall rapidly.

"boom!"

Finally, someone fell to the ground. Their bodies slammed into the ground with a loud thud, the sound of flesh colliding with the hard ground.
