"Dad, let's stew chicken for dinner." Sanqi remembered that they still had a chicken left, so she ran out first while Liujiu wasn't paying attention.

"Okay, thank you, son."

"Dad, you should boil some water."

Under Sanqi's direction, Gu Ye cleaned the chicken thoroughly, chopped it up, and put it in the pot to boil.

"Dad, it smells delicious!"

Sanqi praised his sincerity, and he also put in the effort.

For dinner, we had a pot of fragrant chicken stew with potatoes. It was so delicious. It's so good to have Dad at home.

The next day, Gu Ye told Bao Ni that he wanted his uncle to make some nutritional supplements. Bao Ni and Gu Ye took a boat off the island together, while Liu Jiu and San Qi went to their maternal grandmother's house.

Gu Ye and the others went to the hospital. Xiao Hu had already woken up and was in good spirits.

"Commander, sister-in-law, what brings you here? I'm fine now, don't worry, I'll be discharged in a couple of days."

Xiao Hu is only in his early twenties, has been in the army for three years, has strong personal abilities, and is a key candidate for training.

Bonnie went to see Xiaohu's attending physician to find out what dietary restrictions he should have.

After finding out the details, she went directly to Uncle Shen's place.

"Uncle Shen knows me. I'm just troubling you again. One of Gu Ye's soldiers was injured a few days ago and lost a lot of blood. He needs to be replenished. Uncle Shen, thank you for your help."

Bonnie told Uncle Shen about the precautions the doctor had mentioned, and Uncle Shen readily agreed. He knew about what had happened a few days ago; the People's Liberation Army comrades had it tough, always risking their lives to protect their safety.

There's a reason why Bonnie and Uncle Shen get along so well; they're both kind-hearted people.

At noon, Bonnie carried a lunchbox full of chicken soup, half of which contained chicken, along with a box of rice and a side dish.

“This is what your sister-in-law brought back. You two can eat together. Zhijun, take good care of Xiaohu during this time. Pick up your meals at Sihaiju State-run Restaurant for lunch and dinner. Your sister-in-law has already paid for them. I’ll be waiting for you to come back from the army.”

After settling Xiao Hu in, Gu Ye went home with Bao Ni.

The children in the family compound have been discharged from the hospital one after another. Fortunately, they have all recovered and have no lasting effects. There were more than ten children; they were quite frightened this time. Thankfully, the children are alright. The women's wives all came to thank Baoni and Sanqi; if it weren't for them, who knows what would have happened to the children.

A lot happened during this time. Political Commissar Wang retired from the army and returned home, taking his two children with him. They were Qi Meifeng's children, but he knew they weren't his own and refused to raise them. He had been terribly harmed by Qi Meifeng and wished he could bite her. He had lost everything.

Shi Jintang went to a labor camp, and Qi's adoptive parents were not implicated. Commander Yang felt that many things were unclear and difficult to explain nowadays, and it was best to avoid getting involved as much as possible, since life was not easy for anyone.

Qi Meifeng's crimes were quite serious, and she ultimately lost her chance to live. Her child was sent to Qi Meifeng's parents' home, and although they were not very willing, they did not refuse the child.

On the beach, the island team was busy hanging seaweed on racks. Soldiers helped retrieve the seaweed from the sea, and Han Weidong and his men joined in. Bao Ni was in charge of personnel allocation; like a brick in the revolution, she was ready to be moved wherever needed.

"Sister Bonnie, Professor Gao is looking for you."

Han Weidong had just come from the beach and found Sister Baoni to tell her that Professor Gao was looking for her again.

Bonnie exchanged a few words with her father and hurriedly ran to the seaweed house where Professor Gao and the others were staying.

"Teacher Gao, what's wrong?" Bonnie really couldn't guess why Teacher Gao wanted to see her.
