In mid-May, after the four-day mourning period for her grandparents had passed and the seawater was no longer cold, Bonnie made some preparations and was about to go to her secret base.

The cave was still there, unchanged for years, except for more weeds. After changing her clothes and gear, Bonnie was ready to set off.

She borrowed the diving equipment from her older brother, just in case.

The seawater was still so clear, and all kinds of fish swam around. No matter when, the seabed is always beautiful.

Bonnie arrived at her secret base without any change. It was a natural cave formed from rock, of excellent quality, incomparable to those shoddy construction projects.

Bonnie made several trips back and forth, and she planned to make most of it today.

Finally, they gathered several sacks, hid them in the cave, and Bonnie went to find her older brother to have him drive a tractor over and transport them back for her.

As time went by, the distance between her and her older brother faded. They lived far apart and didn't see each other for years at a time. Some things were never mentioned, and they simply passed by in a blur.

Lin Yu and Bao Ni carried the seafood out of the cave and into the tractor's trailer at the foot of the mountain.

"Go back and call your third uncle and aunt, and your sister-in-law. There are many of us, so we can get things ready faster."

"Yes, we need more people. I'm too lazy to make repeated trips, so I'll save time and get them all out at once."

The brother and sister hadn't chatted together like this in over ten years, and it felt quite nice.
