1970s: Commander Huo, Your Wife Has Been Absorbed by the State!

After a space interception and a wormhole穿越, Ming Zhao opened her eyes to find herself in 1970 as the "little pitiful one" abused by her adoptive parents.

The Alliance's new scien...

Chapter 150. Accusations require solid evidence!

The Soviet ambassador's accusations pierced the heart of the control center, which had just survived a disaster!

"A space weapon attack? A deliberate attempt to paralyze them? Hand over the weapons and those in charge?!"

Every word carries the stench of blood and gunpowder.

The lingering warmth of ecstasy in the control room instantly froze, replaced by a bone-chilling cold and a profound sense of absurdity.

The person who just saved the world has suddenly become the culprit who started a world war?

"Shameless!!"

Su Xuan was the first to jump up in a rage, his bloodshot eyes glaring at Valery.

"It was your own satellite that malfunctioned and leaked secrets! It was Mingzhao who saved everyone! This is slander! This is a frame-up!"

Valery's face was also extremely grim. He clearly hadn't expected Moscow to make such swift and forceful accusations, and... pinpoint the source?

This is too fast! It's abnormally fast! He looked at Mingzhao, who remained calm in front of the control panel, and then at the green line on the screen that represented silence, and his heart was in great turmoil.

As a scientist, he witnessed Mingzhao's incredible yet incredibly precise actions; it was definitely not a premeditated attack! But as a Soviet citizen…

"evidence!"

Yan Zhensheng's voice was like steel scraping against steel. He suppressed the turmoil in his heart and spoke slowly and deliberately into the microphone.

"Ambassador Vasily! Your accusations require solid evidence! Speculation and diplomatic intimidation are not convincing!"

The cold, hard voice of Soviet Ambassador Vasily came from the other end of the phone:

"Evidence? Comrade Yan Zhensheng, your Galaxy project has just conducted an unprecedented orbit control experiment targeting our satellites, which is an indisputable fact!"

While our satellite was subjected to so-called solar wind interference, it was also guided and impacted by a strong energy signal from your base! Analysis of the residual signal characteristics shows that the core frequency and modulation method of the guiding signal bear obvious energy imprints of technologies unknown to Earth!

It shares the same energy pulse as the one that paralyzed my satellite!

This is irrefutable evidence! We demand the immediate handover of the weapon's designer and all relevant technical data!

Otherwise, you will bear all the consequences arising therefrom!

boom!

Energy Imprint! Technology unknown on Earth!

Yan Zhensheng, Su Xuan, and all those in the know felt as if their hearts had been struck by a heavy hammer! They understood instantly!

What the Soviets were targeting wasn't a space weapon at all, but stardust!

They knew about the existence of stardust!

They might even have been searching for it all along! This accident became the perfect excuse for them to cause trouble!

A bone-chilling cold enveloped the control center.

This goes beyond a technical accident; it's a meticulously planned hunt targeting Stardust and Mingzhao!

Just then, a piercing alarm blared from the perimeter of the base, accompanied by the faint roar of a car engine! A security officer stumbled in, his face ashen.

"Report! The base perimeter is sealed off! It's...it's a vehicle from the Soviet Embassy! And...and people in civilian clothes but carrying weapons! They demand immediate entry into the base to conduct a 'joint investigation'!"

KGB! That word instantly popped into everyone's mind!

"This is outrageous!"

Yan Zhensheng was furious and slammed down the phone! He looked at Mingzhao, his eyes filled with determination and a hint of tragic heroism.

Hand them over? Absolutely not! But hold out?

The consequences of a KGB incursion would be unimaginable! The base's secrets, including those of Stardust and Mingzhao, could be exposed!

All eyes were once again focused on Mingzhao.

The eye of the storm has become the calmest place.

She slowly stood up from the control panel, facing the doorway, as if she could see through the wall to the approaching gun barrels outside.

There was no fear on her face, only an almost cold focus as she rapidly calculated.

“Academician Yan,” Mingzhao’s voice broke the silence, clear and steady, “let them in.”

"What?!" Yan Zhensheng and Su Xuan exclaimed simultaneously.

“Let them bring their evidence in.”

Mingzhao's gaze shifted to Valeri, whose expression was constantly changing; his eyes seemed to pierce through people's hearts.

"Comrade Valery, as a witness on site and a technical authority of your country, you should also want to verify with your own eyes whether your so-called 'energy imprint' evidence can withstand scrutiny, right?"

Valery was startled!

Mingzhao's words struck a chord with his conscience as a scientist and the inner conflict he was experiencing at that moment.

He witnessed firsthand the "unexpected" nature of the accident and Mingzhao's efforts to save the victim.

If Moscow's accusations are based on lies... his grey-blue eyes flashed intensely.

"Mingzhao! You're crazy! They're here to arrest you!"

Su Xuan was so anxious that his eyes were about to burst.

"You need evidence to arrest me."

Mingzhao's tone was calm and even, "Give them evidence. Give them irrefutable evidence."

Her gaze swept across the huge main screen in the control center, where the complete data stream of the satellite's loss of control and orbital intervention still remained.

As Yan Zhensheng looked into Ming Zhao's unfathomable eyes, which burned with a determined flame, a crazy idea took shape in his mind.

He gritted his teeth and roared at the security officer, "Let them through! Let them come to the control center! Send word to all personnel in key positions: stay where you are, and do not move without orders!"

The order was given as if cold water had been poured into boiling oil.

The entire base was instantly enveloped in immense tension and grief.

Soon, heavy footsteps echoed down the corridor.

Led by Soviet Ambassador Vasily, several KGB agents dressed in black overcoats, with sinister eyes and bulging waistbands, along with two Soviet technical experts carrying sophisticated instruments, stormed into the control center!
