(Historical Era + Space + Military Marriage + Medical Skills) A modern PhD in both Chinese and Western medicine accidentally transmigrated to the 1970s and obtained a special space upon arrival.
Suddenly, some images flashed through Grandma Lin's mind. It seemed that she was calling out to a girl, but she couldn't see what the "girl" looked like. She felt a little dizzy, so she raised her hand and pressed her temples a few times. Then, those hazy images disappeared.
"Auntie, has something come to mind?"
"Hmm, I remember calling a girl 'Yatou', but I can't remember what she looks like."
The captain clicked his tongue; his suggestion really worked.
"Do you still remember Xiao Heng? Xiao Heng used to live with you and Ya Tou."
"I don't remember," Grandma Lin shook her head. "Tell me again, what else happened?"
“Your daughter started dating my nephew, and they even got married. They were planning to take you to the military base to live with them after the wedding, but your granddaughter took you away instead.”
"I can't remember, I can't remember any of these."
"Let me take you to see the place where you used to live."
"Okay, lead the way."
The brigade leader led Granny Lin to the place where she used to live with Lin Qingyan and Lin Zhiheng. The place has now changed owners. After Chen Lu and Wang Qiang got married, they rented this courtyard from the brigade and have been living here ever since.
They arrived at the gate of the courtyard, but Grandma Lin still couldn't remember anything.
The captain shook his head, deciding not to take her inside.
Because the interior furnishings have changed so drastically, she wouldn't remember anything even if she saw them.
"Auntie, come to my house first. I've already telegraphed Zhengting and Qingyan to tell them you're here. They should come to pick you up once they receive the telegram."
Grandma Lin nodded. She didn't think the brigade leader was a bad person, so she decided to wait for the two men to arrive and then ask them what had happened.
Perhaps if she saw Lin Qingyan, she would remember who that vaguely familiar girl in her mind was, and she would know whether they had ever known each other.
The captain took her home and then asked her to look at the rabbits in the rabbit burrow.
“These rabbits, those big ones were the ones you and Yaya used to raise together. When you were here, you would pick grass and leaves for them to eat every day.”
Grandma Lin looked at the rabbits and subconsciously grabbed some grass from the bamboo basket next to her and fed it to them.
The captain stopped asking her questions and let her feed the rabbits quietly by herself. He settled her down there and waited for Lin Qingyan and Lu Zhengting to arrive.
After Lin Qingyan, Lu Zhengting, and Grandpa Dong arrived at the military region, Grandpa Dong went directly to Lin Qingyan and Lu Zhengting's home. Dong Yue and Xu Xinning accompanied him first, and then went back to their dormitory.
As the group entered the residential compound and passed by Lin Sisi's house, Lin Sisi saw them from inside the gate.
She saw Lin Qingyan and Xu Xinning accompanying an old man; they were chatting and laughing as they walked.
She seemed to have heard Lin Qingyan call the old man "Grandpa," but what was the relationship between Xu Xinning and this old man?
Regardless of their relationship, it now seems likely that they will become a group.
Xu Xinning and Lin Qingyan were the people she hated the most. Seeing them doing well made her grit her teeth in hatred.
Lin Qingyan, Xu Xinning, neither of you will have an easy time.
As soon as Lin Qingyan and the others returned home, the younger generation told Grandpa Dong to rest, while Lu Zhengting and Dong Yue went to the kitchen to cook, and Lin Qingyan and Xu Xinning tidied up Grandpa Dong's room.
They had just finished lunch when a soldier from the mailroom ran up to report: "Comrade Lu, there's a telegram for you."
Lu Zhengting took the telegram. Could it be from his uncle? He opened it and saw only four simple words: "Grandma Lin, my home."
Although his uncle only sent four characters to save money, he understood the meaning at a glance.
He went back inside and quickly told his wife.
"Qingyan, Uncle sent a telegram saying he found Grandma. She's at his house."
"It really is there!"
"Yes, really." He showed the telegram to Lin Qingyan.
Grandpa Dong also found out: "Zhengting, Qingyan, is there news about your maternal grandmother?"
Lin Qingyan then showed the telegram to Grandpa Dong: "Grandpa, look. This is a telegram from Uncle Zhengting. He said Grandma is at his house." He remembered that Grandpa Dong might not know who Granny Lin was, so he explained to him: "Oh, when Grandma used to live with me, she didn't know who she was, so she shared my surname, and everyone called her Granny Lin."
"Now that we know where he is, let's go and bring him back."
As Grandpa Dong was about to get up, Lin Qingyan helped him up: "Grandpa, don't rush. You've been on the train all the way and need to rest. Let us go pick up Grandma."
"It's alright, it's alright, I can manage. Let's go pick up Fenglan together. I still want to see the place where you two used to live together."
Lin Qingyan couldn't dissuade him, and neither could Dong Yue and Xu Xinning, so she could only let him go with them.
Because of the time constraints, Lin Qingyan had to ask the hospital director for leave again. Just then, a child with an emergency came to the hospital, and the director let her handle the situation before letting her leave.
This time, Lu Zhengting was unable to get leave, but Dong Yue was given the opportunity to extend his leave, while Xu Xinning remained in the hospital.
In the evening, Lin Qingyan, Grandpa Dong, and Dong Yue boarded a train bound for Anping County, Feng City, Jilin Province.
Beijing, Dong Family
During dinner, Yoshiko Kawashima served dishes to Dong Ping while giving him flirtatious glances.
Dong Ping glanced at her indifferently, but it made Kawashima Yoshiko's heart flutter.
