Last life, Lu Zhixia was schemed against by her scumbag husband's family until she was completely drained. The outwardly gentle husband secretly hoarded a huge amount of savings, and her obedie...
Seeing that her mood had improved, Lu Zhixia decided to reveal her purpose.
"I need your help too."
"Tell me, how can I help you? Just tell me!"
Tao Lihua was very grateful to Lu Zhixia; this girl was like her second parent!
She might die soon, and the scumbag's evil scheme would succeed.
She silently reasoned that the only reason he wouldn't divorce her was because of the house; if she died, the house would belong to him.
He's got a good plan, including all the money he's saved up over the years!
Unfortunately, her plan was destined to fail. She would still seek revenge, but not to the same extreme degree.
Lu Zhixia said, "I will file a lawsuit when I get back and hold Song Weidong accountable. I want him to go to jail. So, can you testify in court?"
Tao Lihua replied without hesitation, "Sure, I can testify in court. I'll leave you my home address; just send me a telegram, and I'll definitely be there!"
Lu Zhixia took out a pen and paper from her bag, wrote the address on it, and then handed the pen and paper to her.
Tao Lihua took it and wrote down two addresses on it.
"This is my current address, and this is my parents' address. I'm just in case anything changes, so you can find me quickly!"
"Okay!" Lu Zhixia put the notebook away and put it in her bag.
Gu Lingxiao said, "We haven't eaten yet! Why don't you eat with us?"
Tao Lihua said, "No way, I'm not going to let you guys have a free meal. Logically, since you're here, I should be the one treating you." She glanced to the side and saw a noodle shop nearby.
"Let's go eat at that noodle shop, it's my treat."
Lu Zhixia said, "In that case, we won't stand on ceremony. This is our first time here, and we don't know what good food we can find."
Tao Lihua said, "Our local noodles are quite famous. You'll know once you try them."
The three of them walked together from the noodle shop and soon arrived at their destination.
The doors were wide open, and waiters were greeting guests, immediately calling out warmly upon seeing them arrive.
"Please come in, gentlemen. We have all kinds of noodles today!"
They were ushered in by the waiter and seated at a large table in the corner.
Looking at the room's layout and furnishings, Lu Zhixia thought of that noodle shop; the style seemed quite similar. There was a menu on the wall too. She glanced at it and said to the waiter,
"I'd like a bowl of beef noodles."
"Then I'll have a bowl of beef noodles too," Gu Lingxiao said.
Tao Lihua could tell their relationship was unusual; they were very likely a couple. The man's affectionate manner suggested he was a good person. She said to the waiter...
"Give me a bowl of big meat noodles, and give each of us a big bone."
"Okay, coming right away." The waiter wrote down the order and turned to leave.
Tao Lihua said, "Actually, I haven't eaten with anyone for many days. It feels so good that you guys can eat with me!"
Lu Zhixia said, "We must look forward and not waste our precious youth because of a jerk."
Tao Lihua felt as if she had found a kindred spirit. "You're right. When I learned the truth, I really wanted to—"
Lu Zhixia said, "I feel the same way. It's just that I think about it a lot. I don't know where my child is or what kind of life she is living. If she is doing well, then it's God's blessing. But anything can happen. If she is not doing well, then it's my dereliction of duty! So for the sake of my child, I can only endure it and then use legal means to send him to jail."
Tao Lihua, "You did the right thing. Everything is worth it for the children!"
Suddenly her neck felt a little itchy, so she scratched it with her hand. Inadvertently, she glanced to the side and saw Zhao Zeyu.
A young woman was sitting directly opposite him, holding a child in her arms.
She jumped up, then thought, what good would rushing over do?
So she sat back down. She wanted to get revenge on Zhao Zeyu, and she couldn't act rashly now.
"What's wrong?" Lu Zhixia asked.
"I saw him. He was with a woman." Tao Lihua clenched her hands tightly, trying to control her emotions.
Lu Zhixia looked up into the distance and saw a family of three eating. The man looked to be in his early twenties, with a slicked-back appearance.
The woman next to her looked younger and dressed simply; she didn't seem like a city girl.
They had finished eating. The man picked up the child, and the woman followed behind as they left the noodle shop.
Lu Zhixia told her, "They're gone."
Tao Lihua couldn't help but look out the window and saw them leaving with their child in their arms. The little one was riding on Zhao Zeyu's shoulders, laughing happily.
She heard it all through the glass; the woman took out a handkerchief and wiped Zhao Zeyu's sweat.
This scene looks heartwarming, but it would be so much better if it weren't for Zhao Zeyu.
At this point, the waiter came over with a tray, placed the bowls on the table, and then distributed the chopsticks to them, handing them over with both hands.
"You can eat now! Just call us if you need anything!"
“Okay,” Lu Zhixia replied.
The waiter then turned and left to attend to the next table of guests.
Tao Lihua looked at the noodles in her bowl, picked up her chopsticks, and forced herself to eat. She couldn't let her bad mood affect other people's meals.
Lu Zhixia knew she was feeling bad. Sometimes people have to get through things on their own; no matter how much others say, it's useless.
So there was little conversation during the meal, and it was over quickly.
Tao Lihua put down her chopsticks and, seeing that they had finished eating, said to Lu Zhixia,
"Actually, I'm 10 years older than him."
