1990s Hong Kong: Waking Up as the Kidnapped Tycoon's Sister-in-Law

Chen Rou first meets Nie Zhao because of an anti-terrorism case involving Hong Kong's wealthy elite. He is the richest man in Hong Kong for many years, and a renowned powerful figure. Even thou...

Chapter 307 He loved them, but hated them even more!

Sam and his men were firing from the other side, but the Russian guy on this side shouted loudly, and only then did they turn around.

Gunshots rang out sporadically, and the pirates who had come to launch a sneak attack were all wiped out.

But it wasn't until the Russian guy boarded the ship that everyone could feel how intense the pirates' murderous intent was.

The little pirate's legs were tightly wrapped around the Russian guy. Despite his great strength, he couldn't pry them apart. It took Sam and Song Yuanchao working together to finally pry the guy's legs open.

But as Sam released his strength and stepped back, the pirate suddenly lunged at him, his teeth snapping at him.

Fortunately, a soldier fired two shots, finally blowing his head off.

Sam was terrified and took two of his usual tranquilizers. The Russian guy, on the other hand, was almost drowned in the sea, but he wasn't afraid. Instead, he laughed and said, "These Southeast Asian monkeys are the most ferocious species in the world. You little devils, you're no match for them in Vietnam, and you're no match for them at sea either."

With a rumble of thunder piercing the sky, the rain abruptly stopped, and almost at the same time, the bright moon emerged from the clouds.

The headlights swept across the sea, revealing floating corpses and blood.

Chen Ke and Yue Zhongqi proceeded methodically, ordering the soldiers to clean up the scene.

The group from Hong Kong, except for the newcomer Maozi, all looked at each other with fear in their eyes. The fear did not come from the weapons, but from the pirates' murderous aura and their determination to perish together.

That terrified a group of gangsters and made several Western bodyguards realize just how they had suffered such a crushing defeat in Vietnam, and why all those soldiers suffered from severe mental illnesses.

Even though they were afraid, they were people who worked in the underworld; at worst, they would die, so they weren't that afraid.

The reason why Chen Rou still doesn't realize Nie Zhao has returned is twofold: firstly, she underestimated her importance in his heart; secondly, she assumed he understood the pirates as well as she did.

But in reality, not to mention Nie Zhao, even Nie Yao, who had been running with Chen Ke and the others for more than a year, did not expect that Gui Tou Chang's elite forces could be so ferocious and terrifying.

During the day, a single sneak attack terrified Nie Zhao, and now, at night, more than a dozen men have come.

Those tiny, dark pirates swam faster than blackfin tuna and moved more nimbly than monkeys. More importantly, Nie Zhao observed a young man who had been shot through his binoculars and discovered that he was laughing as he died.

His company takes over rare mineral deposits from Chen Ke once a month, and his people are still mining gold in Lvsun. He always feels that Chen Ke and his team are dragging their feet on this mission and are moving too slowly.

But today was the first time he had seen it with his own eyes, and he finally realized how Chen Ke and his men had taken those minerals and gold from these fearless devils.

Thinking back to Chen Rou, whom he had seen in his dream, who had also worked in such an environment for many years, Boss Nie scared himself so much that he dared not look out the window. He slumped onto the sofa, sweating profusely.

Fortunately, even though he's timid, he's not forgetful.

So when he saw Secretary An huddled in the corner trembling, he said, "Have someone remind your wife to drink a bottle of milk."

This is going to be a nightmare for Secretary An. The boss doesn't dare leave this room, and neither does he.

However, just like when he was a child and his parents kicked him out of his room, and it was the first time he slept alone, he was clearly unwilling but had to go. Secretary An went out with a bitter face and reminded the boss lady to go drink milk.

Fearing that they might be targeted by pirates, the lights were off in the room, but Kwong was sleeping soundly.

Suddenly the door was pushed open from the outside. It was clearly not Secretary An; the way she was breathing told it wasn't her.

The deck was bustling with activity; people were walking around and chatting.

Suddenly, someone pushed open his door. Who could it be? As Nie Zhao pondered, he had already raised his gun: "Who?"

He almost fired because the other person didn't say anything, but then he heard Nie Yao whisper, "It's me, your second brother!"

...

The windows on the warship were very small, just like those on an airplane, simply curved arched windows.

Never before in their lives had the two Nie brothers been able to sit on the same sofa, face to face, and have a calm, brotherly conversation like this.

Of course, it was Nie Yao who spoke first. His poor brother was covered in damp sweat, which was from the cold sweat that had just broken out. He had experienced it more than a year ago, so he knew all too well. He had just been terrified.

Nie Yao said calmly, "Although some newspapers said that your business was too aggressive and that you shouldn't have ventured into the emerging electronics industry, let alone go to the mainland, I used to think so too, but now I think you did the right thing."

Nie Zhao wasn't used to being too close to Nie Yao. Even though he was on the other side of the sofa, he leaned back as much as possible and didn't say anything. After all, he didn't even care about his father's opinion, let alone Nie Yao's.

He never acknowledged Nie Yao as his brother.

After a while of not hearing Nie Zhao speak, Nie Yao said again: "When I was little, my mommy... she always said that you didn't like me and that I should stay away from you. I asked her why, and she said it was because I killed the little goldfish you were raising."

This surprised Nie Zhao a little, and he was stunned for a moment, but he didn't say anything.

Nie Yao then said, "I accidentally killed one while catching fish, but I didn't do it on purpose. I remember apologizing to you, but you pushed me away."

Han Yuzhu released many goldfish at Lin Wah Temple on Lantau Island. Nie Zhao loved catching goldfish when he was a child.
