But Huo Qi was quite curious: "You changed to a different kind of bugging device, didn't you? What is it? A button? Actually, in my opinion, buttons are easier to detect than a pen."

Chen Rou smiled and said, "That depends on where it's installed."

I reminded Huo Qi again: "Although the target didn't use its turn signal, I have a feeling it's going to turn."

Huo Qi quickly changed lanes and couldn't help but curse, "Because military vehicles have the privilege of changing lanes and running red lights at will, these British guys always break the rules and drive recklessly on the streets. They are the ones I hate the most."

Huo Qi also ran a red light. The traffic police wanted to stop him, but when they saw his face in the window, they waved him off and let him go.

On the radio, Colonel Rango remained silent the entire time, presumably because he was extremely angry.

He sped along, heading straight for Central.

Although Chen Rou didn't say anything in detail, Huo Qi was especially happy.

Because of Chen Rou's conversation with Colonel Lango, which Lieutenant Colonel Wali overheard, he knew that she had successfully sown discord among the conservative white class in Hong Kong.

Colonel Rango was in a hurry to see Sir James, and there was only one place they would go next: the Military Intelligence Bureau's secret base in Hong Kong. Because if they were going to argue and fight, they would definitely go to their superiors at the Military Intelligence Bureau.

Their only way to contact their superiors was through that secret base.

So, once Huo Qi finds the secret base, he can find their radio, computer, and all sorts of paper documents, and then take them all down in one fell swoop.

Then, turning around, he said, "It's the Tamar base."

Fearing that Chen Rou might not be aware, he explained, "This is currently the only military base in Central. No one is allowed to enter without permission."

If Sir James's secret agent base were in an ordinary location, Huo Qi would have stormed in.

But the Tamar base is military property, and entry is prohibited without permission. Even if he managed to get in and find the computer and radio, could he take them out? If not, he would be caught. Trespassing on a military base is punishable by hanging.

This is Colonel Rango's territory, and he stepped on the gas and drove into the base.

A short while later, Sir James and Lin Yong arrived in their car and went inside.

Huo Qi could eavesdrop, but he wanted a radio and a computer. How could he get in and steal them?

About five minutes later, Lieutenant Colonel Kiyuwali and the others could hear the argument between Sir James and Colonel Rango. Colonel Rango was questioning Sir James about whether he had obtained the evidence and why he hadn't given it to him.

Sir James said he did gather some evidence, but he felt it wasn't enough.

He's a cunning old fox, so of course I'd ask Colonel Rango where he heard the news from.

Colonel Rango did not disclose that Chen Rou had visited him earlier that day because he did not fully trust Sir James.

However, Sir James was a veteran agent, and he was particularly perceptive. After staring at Colonel Lange for a while, he suddenly said, "Is that Mrs. Nie Zhao? You met her today. Oh my God, Colonel, you've fallen for a young and beautiful female agent from the mainland, and you've even believed her lies. You're being played like a reckless young man..."

Before Colonel Lango could explain, he continued, "You got a new haircut today, trimmed your sideburns, and even took a Finnish sauna. Good heavens, you even trimmed your nose hairs, and like that Miss Nie, you're wearing cedar-toned perfume. Don't try to explain, because I can get your visitor list through MI6. I'm sure you saw her."

Colonel Rango is getting on in years, and it would indeed take a great deal of effort to make himself look younger.

Generally speaking, he and Jazz James are partners, and it is difficult for them to be alienated.

But Sir James had a problem: relying on his age and seniority, he always liked to offend Colonel Rango's authority and relentlessly ridicule and mock him.

He shrugged and smiled, then said to Lin Yong and Lieutenant Colonel Wali, “My God, can you believe it? Our commander actually thinks that a beautiful and gentle woman would not like her young, handsome, and wealthy husband, but would prefer him, a rude old soldier who even has his subordinates write his autobiography.”

Colonel Wali thought so too, but he didn't believe Mrs. Nie loved her husband.

He felt good about himself because Chen Rou had some inexplicable feelings for him and believed that she liked him.

So, in response to Sir James's mockery, he chuckled.

These people were all masters and bosses to Lin Yong. He mediated between them and always had a smile on his face.

But Colonel Rango felt that everyone was mocking him, which he found offensive and humiliating.

He had initially been somewhat suspicious of Chen Rou, but in order to go against Sir James's wishes, he stopped doubting her.

He openly admitted, "Yes, I saw Miss Nie today."

But he waved his hand dismissively and said, "And I don't believe she's some kind of mainland female agent. She's my friend. I would like to ask you, Sir James, to respect her. Also, I would like you to hand over all the evidence immediately."
