Chen Rou first meets Nie Zhao because of an anti-terrorism case involving Hong Kong's wealthy elite. He is the richest man in Hong Kong for many years, and a renowned powerful figure. Even thou...
To be fair, the Nie brothers are actually not bad.
There are a total of six white high-ranking police superintendents, named Sir James, who are supposed to be monitoring seven people. However, two of them have already been knocked out, and although the third is not in the monitoring area, Song Yuanchao has already gone to meet him.
Nie Zhao found two more, and Secretary An found one more. They were all handed over to Nie Jiajun for marking, and then Nie Jiayu used 3D simulation software to predict their route. Wade then notified who would handle them.
Nie Zhao was most anxious and wanted to find Sir James, because he was the mastermind and the central figure.
However, there are cameras at three intersections in Repulse Bay, but they did not capture him on camera.
Nie Jiayu thought that Nie Zhao had been watching the intersection where he might be photographed when he passed through Central, but he didn't see anything.
One key reason is that the other white police officers drive Land Rovers, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzes, Nissans, and other high-end cars, all with xenon headlights. On nights when only taxis and Mercedes-Benzes are present, these cars are very conspicuous and easy to distinguish under surveillance.
But Sir James was driving a Crown with a badly painted front. It was a very ordinary car, and it was the same model as the taxis that were everywhere on the street. It was also red like the taxis, making it extremely difficult to distinguish.
It's unclear when it started, but Nie Zhao's entire back was soaked with sweat. Because he was bent over, the sweat seeped out from between his hair, flowing down his forehead and onto the tip of his nose. He didn't move, but his eyes were practically crossed from staring.
But where exactly is Jazz James?
The dozen or so small screens were all filled with taxis; in the vast sea of them, which one was his?
Suddenly, Wade's voice seemed to come from afar, then abruptly became incredibly loud, and he said with delight, "Song has it all sorted out."
Nie Zhao murmured, "Is this the third accident?"
Wade corrected him, "No, it's the fourth one, boss, what's wrong with you?"
Nie Zhao pressed his temples because Wade's voice was sometimes near and sometimes far, and he could never hear it clearly.
Only then did he realize that his eardrums were bulging and contracting, and he was also experiencing a ringing in his ears, probably because of nervousness.
But he remembered only three incidents, how did four suddenly appear?
It should be noted that Sir James was the top intelligence agent in Hong Kong, and he had the authority to mobilize the military.
Three car accidents are manageable, but four are beyond what a normal person can accept.
It will cause massive traffic jams and also alert Sir James. Once he is alert and mobilizes troops, even if the mainland troops stationed in Hong Kong react quickly, they can only delay the situation for five minutes.
But now time seems so long and drawn out, as if it has frozen, and only two minutes have passed.
Nie Zhao called Nie Yao in, instructing him to keep an eye on Sir James, as did Secretary An.
Nie Zhao was furious because they hadn't seen anything. He even saw Nie Yao hugging A Yuan, which made him very uncomfortable. But he didn't even have time to get angry. He only had one goal now: to find Sir James and get to him immediately.
As it turns out, just like his ability to fix computers, Nie Yao was indeed quite capable.
He was still holding the child in one arm when he suddenly pointed at the screen with the other: "That one, that one, old James."
Even Nie Jiajun immediately looked up and zoomed in on the image, but then frowned: "It's just the back of the car, how can you tell?"
He immediately looked at another screen next to him, which was another surveillance camera. It could only see a taxi far away in the corner. It had just passed the previous intersection and was still quite far from this one. Secretary An also said, "It's just a taxi, right?"
Nie Zhao could only vaguely see the rear of the car, and he was afraid that Nie Yao was talking nonsense.
He habitually wanted to get angry, but since Nie Yao had just fixed the computer, he asked, "How do you know?"
Nie Yao glanced at the photo and then looked up, his face full of certainty: "Because one of its right taillights was broken."
He then held up the photo again: "See? The right taillight on this car is also broken."
There should be at least two taillights and brake lights to alert following vehicles to brake or turn. A taxi's taillights may break, but if they do, the driver will be afraid to drive on the road because the traffic police will issue a ticket and impose a fine.
But Sir James himself drives a beat-up car, with broken taillights?
Nie Jiajun looked up at Nie Zhao, who immediately started typing on the keyboard. Every second counted; there were still three white police officers on the road who hadn't been found yet. Zooming in on the shot meant losing a few minutes of time searching for them.
But Sir James is of paramount importance and must be found immediately.
The image was zoomed in, and Nie Zhao had already clenched his fists; he had never fought with Nie Yao before.
But if he bets on the wrong horse this time, Nie Zhao wouldn't hesitate to take action and give him a good beating.
But he immediately said, "Jiayu, monitor number 13, Sir James, speed 32 mph, rightmost lane, quick!"
If the person in surveillance camera number 13 is occupying the far right lane, it proves that he intends to turn right.
Nie Jiayu zoomed in on the 3D image of monitoring area No. 13, typed a few keystrokes on the keyboard, and a red line was drawn directly onto the Tamar ship.
He immediately added, "The Russian is two traffic lights away from him, and Huo Qi is one..."
Wade was about to notify someone, but Nie Zhao said, "No, no, he's going to turn left."
Sir James is not only a cunning old fox, but he also treats traffic lights as if they don't exist. He may appear to be in the right lane, but he is actually turning left and running a red light. The reason he does this is simply because there are fewer cars in the right lane.
Nie Zhao often instigated his bodyguards to run red lights. Some of them were experienced and had seen through Sir James. Otherwise, everyone would have worked for nothing. But he ran the red light and sped off to the intersection where Song Yuanchao had just caused the car accident.
