1990s: The Whole Family Are Ungrateful Wretches, the Real Daughter is Reborn and Will Not Forgive

In her past life, Ye Linchen lived like a joke. She was abandoned in the countryside for eighteen years and discovered upon returning home that her parents' love was given to her cousin, Meng Z...

Chapter 249 The Imminent Journey

Ye Linchen received a page from Shen Yanlin and knew it must be related to tomorrow's trip.

She immediately ran downstairs to the convenience store, borrowed the public phone there, and dialed Shen Yanlin's number.

"Hey, Shen Yanlin, I received your pager."

Ye Linchen's voice carried a hint of excitement.

A slightly amused voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Meet at the entrance of Jiangcheng Academy of Fine Arts at eight o'clock tomorrow morning. Don't forget."

"Don't worry, I won't forget," Ye Linchen replied cheerfully.

"Oh, right, there's one more thing I need to remind you. Remember to bring your swimsuit. It's still very hot in Haicheng. We can go swimming at the beach later."

"Swimsuit?"

Ye Linchen was stunned for a moment.

I don't think I've ever had anything like this before.

She grew up in the countryside, where there was only a small ditch with water that barely reached her knees.

I've never even swum, let alone worn a swimsuit.

Now that winter has arrived in Jiangcheng, swimsuits are no longer available in the shops on the street.

"I don't have a swimsuit, and I can't buy one right now," Ye Linchen said with some difficulty.

"It's okay, we can just buy it in Haicheng," Shen Yanlin said nonchalantly. "There are swimsuits for sale everywhere there, but they might be a bit more expensive."

“A little more expensive is fine, I have money,” Ye Linchen said immediately.

With a hint of smugness.

"Haha, I know you're a little rich woman now." Shen Yanlin joked with a smile, and then continued, "We have more time this time, and we have half a day of free time in the afternoon. I've already made a rough travel plan, and we can discuss it later to see where to go."

“Okay, whatever you say,” Ye Linchen immediately replied.

Having someone plan your travel itinerary so you just need to follow it is incredibly convenient.

"I still need to call Linlin and Xiaojuan, so I'll have to go now," Shen Yanlin said. "See you tomorrow!"

"See you tomorrow!"

Having lived two lifetimes, this was Ye Linchen's first real trip, and to such a distant seaside city no less.

For her in her previous life, traveling was an unattainable dream, something she dared not even think about.

Now, she finally has the opportunity to see the outside world.

Lying in bed, Ye Linchen's mind was filled with images of the azure sea, the silver sand beach, and all sorts of delicious seafood, making him too excited to fall asleep.

She loves her current life; it's free, carefree, and full of hope.

But we still need to keep working hard to live a better life!

The next morning, Ye Linchen woke up before the alarm clock even went off.

Although it was still early, she was wide awake and got up to carefully check her luggage again, afraid of forgetting anything important.

Seeing that it was almost time, she shouldered her backpack, dragged her suitcase, and excitedly set off for Jiangcheng Academy of Fine Arts.

A large number of students have already gathered at the entrance of Jiangcheng Academy of Fine Arts.

It's not just Jiangcheng Academy of Fine Arts; there are other universities as well.

They gathered in twos and threes, chatting excitedly with smiles on their faces.

Ye Linchen spotted Feng Linlin, Lin Xiaojuan, and Shen Yanlin standing in the crowd at a glance.

Feng Linlin also saw her and waved to her: "Xiao Chen, over here!"

Ye Linchen quickly walked over.

After the final exams, Feng Linlin and Lin Xiaojuan both went home instead of staying at the school. They had to take a bus to get to the university town, and they ended up arriving first.

Ye Linchen looked around at the students and sighed, "I was worried that if I came early, there would be no one there, but I didn't expect everyone to be more enthusiastic than me."

"That's right, Xiao Juan couldn't wait to come over last night, and she came to my house to knock on the door first thing this morning."

Lin Xiaojuan felt a little embarrassed by what she said, so she quickly changed the subject and asked Ye Linchen.

"How did you do on your final exams?"

"I feel pretty good about myself. How about you guys? Are you all doing alright?" Ye Linchen asked with a smile.

"We all did well on the exam!" Feng Linlin raised her eyebrows proudly. "Luckily, I studied very hard. In our major, cramming at the last minute is completely useless!"

Lin Xiaojuan gave her a nudge: "You're implying something, don't you know? Sharpening your spear at the last minute may not be fast, but it will still be sharp. I like to sharpen my spear at the last minute."

Seeing the two bickering, Shen Yanlin turned to Ye Linchen and asked, "Have you eaten? I brought some bread and biscuits."

"I ate. I woke up around 5 a.m. and couldn't fall back asleep, so I just got up and prepared thoroughly."

Hearing Ye Linchen say this, Lin Xiaojuan found an ally and immediately stood on Ye Linchen's side, saying to Feng Linlin, "Did you hear that? Xiaochen is also very excited. I don't believe you aren't excited too."

"She was definitely excited, but she was just pretending to be calm."

Ye Linchen also cracked a joke.

As the four were talking, a young woman wearing a red down jacket walked towards them, holding a folder in one hand and a small megaphone in the other.

She was very familiar with Shen Yanlin, and said directly to him, "Little Shen, it's almost time to assemble and board the bus. I'd appreciate it if you could help organize the discipline."

Shen Yanlin then introduced them to Ye Linchen and the other two: "This is my senior, our class's teaching assistant and head teacher, and the person in charge of this event." He then turned to his senior, "They are my high school classmates from Jiang University."

"Welcome, welcome."

The senior student greeted the three of them warmly, took out a student ID registration form from the folder, carefully checked Ye Linchen and the others' student IDs, and then put a checkmark next to their names.

"Alright, you can get on the bus when your names are called," the senior student said.

"Thank you, senior." Ye Linchen quickly expressed her gratitude.
