In her past life, Ye Linchen lived like a joke. She was abandoned in the countryside for eighteen years and discovered upon returning home that her parents' love was given to her cousin, Meng Z...
Meng Zihan knew that Shen Yanlin was not afraid of trouble, and if Gu Yifei really rushed up, a fight would definitely break out.
Although it might be a good thing for the two boys to have fought for each other, it would be a huge loss if Gu Yifei's parents held them accountable.
Meng Zihan quickly made a decision.
She grabbed Gu Yifei's arm and, choking back tears, advised, "Yifei, forget it, don't waste your time with them."
She glanced at Ye Linchen fearfully, took out a notebook from under the desk, and pleaded in a low voice, "Yifei, I have a few questions I can't answer, could you help me with them?"
Gu Yifei glared at Shen Yanlin, then at Ye Linchen, before reluctantly sitting down and beginning to explain the problem to Meng Zihan.
Meng Zihan told him that because Ye Linchen refused to go home, Ye Zhenghua took his anger out on Meng Zihan and Meng Xueyun, which prevented Meng Zihan from getting tutoring anymore.
He simply couldn't understand how there could be such a selfish person as Ye Linchen, who only cared about himself and disregarded others.
That's Meng Zihan's future!
Now, whether Meng Zihan can get into university depends entirely on herself.
Just then, the school bell rang.
Feng Linlin whispered a few words to Ye Linchen and returned to her seat.
Although it's now a make-up class, it's basically students studying on their own.
Apart from the weekly tests held every Friday where teachers would explain the test papers, teachers of each subject would come to the classroom according to the class schedule to distribute the test papers and then answer students' questions.
This class is English, which is Ye Linchen's worst subject.
After the English teacher handed out the test papers, Ye Linchen began to bury himself in the questions.
Her recent hard work has improved her English, but the progress is not significant, and she still can't do many grammar questions.
She was pondering a difficult problem when she heard Shen Yanlin's voice from beside her.
"You got this question wrong; you should have chosen B."
Ye Linchen turned her head and saw Shen Yanlin craning his neck, staring intently at her English test paper.
The English test paper in front of him, however, was completely blank, without a single word written on it.
This person is strange; instead of doing his own test, he's concerned about hers.
Ye Linchen remained silent, but Shen Yanlin pressed his advantage, snatching Ye Linchen's test paper and pointing to a multiple-choice question, saying, "This question is wrong too; the answer should be D."
He scanned the test paper from beginning to end, a puzzled look on his face, and asked, "How did you get into the advanced class with such an English score?"
It's none of your business!
Ye Linchen ignored him and reached out to snatch her own test paper.
Give it back to me.
Shen Yanlin refused to let go, instead raising the paper even higher and sighing, "You got four out of fifteen multiple-choice questions wrong, tsk tsk."
Ye Linchen got annoyed and stopped trying to grab the test paper. Instead, he picked up his own workbook and started looking at it.
As long as she ignores him, Shen Yanlin will get bored and return the exam paper to her.
As for the wrong answers, the answers will naturally come out when the English teacher goes over the test.
Sure enough, when Shen Yanlin saw that Ye Linchen was ignoring him, he felt it was pointless and pushed the test paper back to Ye Linchen.
"You're getting angry already? I'm doing this for your own good. English can't be improved just by doing exercises."
Ye Linchen had always struggled with English, but after hearing Shen Yanlin say this, he immediately became interested.
"Then tell me, how should I learn?"
Shen Yanlin said unhurriedly, "If it's just for exams, it's very simple. Like other subjects, English also has rules and formulas. As long as you find them, you can answer the questions correctly."
"I heard you're very good at math and physics?"
After a moment's thought, Ye Linchen nodded without hesitation: "It's alright."
In her previous life, she was better at science than humanities.
When I came back to review this time, I could clearly feel that math and physics were easier to review and my accuracy rate was higher.
Shen Yanlin's eyes lit up, and he suggested, "How about this, my physics and math are relatively weak, and your English is not good, so let's form a study group and tutor each other after school."
Ye Linchen didn't react immediately and asked, "What?"
Shen Yanlin explained patiently, "It's about mutual learning, learning from each other's strengths and making up for each other's weaknesses. We review together after school. Is that so hard to understand?"
Ye Linchen didn't care about his attitude; in fact, she thought the idea was good.
My current English grades are really holding me back. I need to improve my English if I want to get into a good university.
But she still told the truth: "Sure, but my physics and math skills might not be as good as you think, so don't have too high hopes."
Shen Yanlin didn't seem to care: "It's alright, as long as you're better than me. How about this, we'll try it out for one day. If your level doesn't meet my requirements, we'll disband immediately."
Before Ye Linchen could express his opinion, Shen Yanlin said "See you after school" and then crouched down and slipped out of the classroom through the back door.
Shen Yanlin did not reappear until lunch break.
Ye Linchen looked at the empty desk next to her and couldn't help but smile.
I never expected that there would be such a student in the advanced class.
She tried hard to search for memories of her past life, but found no trace of Shen Yanlin.
Perhaps it was because she had always lived in her own little world in the past, and apart from those who bullied her, she hardly knew any of her other classmates.
Ye Linchen didn't think much of it, took out his lunchbox, and prepared to go to the cafeteria to heat up his food.
Just then, Meng Zihan walked over leisurely and stood in front of the table.
Ye Linchen didn't even glance at her, heading straight for the door, but Meng Zihan suddenly stepped in front of her and blocked her way.
"What?" Ye Linchen asked impatiently.
