A charming military wife travels back to the 1960s, escaping famine across five provinces before finally reaching the cavalry regiment at the foot of the Qilian Mountains, where she begins her life...
"Tell me honestly, who are you? Do you have any accomplices?"
"Oh dear, oh dear, no, you... you treat prisoners of war well, you treat prisoners of war well..."
The man was pale and his body was convulsing in pain.
Blood was still gushing from his thigh.
Lu Fangfang was taken aback. She leaned closer and heard what the man said clearly.
"You dog of a spy, you think you can get preferential treatment?"
Even so, she still stopped Xiaohua and the little Tibetan fox.
Looking at the bite marks on the man's body, she could hardly bear to look at him. She never expected her little guy to be so powerful.
"Little Flower, Little Yellow Dog, you two deserve credit! We can't show any mercy to this spy! Well done!"
"Awoo~"
"Meow~"
The two little ones sat beside the man, panting heavily, looking very proud of themselves.
They would occasionally glance at the man, remaining vigilant.
Lu Fangfang looked on with admiration.
As expected of someone I raised from a young age, they are indeed intelligent, just like their parents.
She patted the two little ones on the head, then looked at the man.
After taking a closer look, she felt quite puzzled.
I wonder where this guy came from? Is he trying to rescue his captured accomplice?
She looked around but didn't notice anything else.
"Fangfang? Fangfang?"
In the distance, Zhuang Mingcheng, wearing shorts, limped over.
Hearing the noise, Lu Fangfang quickly took out her flashlight and shone it on him.
When her husband approached, she quickly went to him and helped him up.
"Fangfang, are you alright?"
Zhuang Mingcheng was covered in sweat. He held his wife's hand and looked her up and down carefully.
"It's alright, I'm not hurt. Come and see, I've injured a dog spy."
Lu Fangfang pulled Zhuang Mingcheng along and walked to the dog spy, shining a flashlight on him.
"Huh? It's you?"
When Zhuang Mingcheng saw the man's face clearly, he was stunned for a moment, and then his face darkened.
This man was one of the two survivors he had captured; he had actually escaped from the regiment.
Tell me, how did you escape?
"Help...help me..."
The man managed to utter a single sentence before his eyes rolled back and he fainted.
Zhuang Mingcheng: "..."
Upon closer inspection, he discovered that the man's body was covered in wounds, especially his thighs, where blood was still flowing.
"Those were from Little Flower and the little Tibetan fox. The leg wound was from a gunshot wound I gave him. Mingcheng, do you know this person? Did he escape from the regiment?"
Zhuang Mingcheng nodded silently, his face dark.
He took off the man's white coat and tore off a strip of cloth.
He tightened the man's thigh and stopped the bleeding. This was a big fish; he couldn't let the man die.
Moreover, this person actually escaped from the group; he needs to find out the truth about this.
Beside her, Lu Fangfang opened her mouth in surprise.
A spy who had just been arrested escaped from the regiment. How... how is that possible?
Could this spy really have such great abilities?
"Hey girl? Is that you?"
Lu Fangfang turned around and saw Wang Shufen holding a rifle, peeking and looking in their direction.
"Sister Shufen, it's me."
"My goodness, sister, you scared me to death."
Wang Shufen wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and quickly walked over.
Lu Fangfang looked Shufen up and down and breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness, it was all a false alarm.
"Sister Shufen, what exactly happened?"
"Oh my, you scared me to death, girl. I was just at the farm, coming out of the incubator, when I saw your donkey braying outside."
As Wang Shufen spoke, she looked at the man on the ground.
Seeing that the man was covered in blood, she quickly turned her head away.
"I peeked out and saw a dark figure pulling at a stick that was stuck outside our farm. I mustered up my courage and asked him a question. The man got scared and ran away with the stick."
"It was late at night, and this person was definitely not a good person, so I quickly went inside to get my gun and fired a shot into the air to try and get the patrol team to come over."
Lu Fangfang was both amused and exasperated upon hearing this.
No wonder the man was carrying this stick; it looked so familiar. He stole it from the farm.
It was thanks to Sister Shufen and her little wild donkey's vigilance that this dog spy might have gotten away.
Before long, the members of the group arrived in a hurry.
Gao Dajiang, Xiao Aiguo, and several other cadres from the regiment also came over, their clothes disheveled.
"Xiao Zhuang, what's going on?"
Zhuang Mingcheng, his face dark, pressed on the man's wound, unwilling to speak.
Seeing this, Lu Fangfang could only step forward and briefly explain.
...
"Li Defu!"
Zhuang Mingcheng roared, his face dark, and walked up to a soldier.
"How did you guard him? You actually allowed a wounded agent to escape from his cell. Where are the ropes binding him?"
He led the battalion to search for and capture spies, and after returning to the regiment, they were dismissed and went to rest.
The Second Battalion was stationed elsewhere, so the task of guarding the spies was assigned to the Third Battalion.
Zhuang Mingcheng never expected that the spy he had escorted back would actually escape from the regiment; it was an utter disgrace!
"Regimental...Regimental Commander, I...our battalion commander said we should treat prisoners well, and told us to untie him and take him to the medical room to treat his wounds..."
"Dr. Xiao... Dr. Xiao said the patient needed to rest well, and then he told us to leave..."
The soldier trembled as he spoke haltingly, almost in tears.
