Chapter 268 Nianxi establishes her own dance studio to train young dancers

Looking into her daughter's eyes, Lin Wanqiu saw a light that shone with a love for dance, a yearning for the future, and a steadfast commitment to her dream. She recalled her daughter as a child, Nianxi, who loved to dance to music on the radio. Despite her small frame, she possessed astonishing talent and perseverance. She had endured much hardship to learn dance, her body always bearing bruises, yet she never uttered a word of complaint. Now, her daughter was finally taking that step towards her dream, and Lin Wanqiu felt an indescribable surge of joy.

"Your idea is excellent." Lin Wanqiu put down her bowl, her tone full of support. "Mom supports you. You'll only have motivation if you do what you love."

Shen Tingzhou nodded, his eyes filled with approval: "Xi'er, you've always been decisive. Now that you've made up your mind, just go for it. Your dad and mom will always be your strongest support."

Shen Nianxi's eyes instantly reddened, tears welling up but she stubbornly held them back. She knew her parents had always supported her choices, whether it was learning dance as a child or joining a song and dance troupe later; they had never uttered a word of objection. Now, as she wanted to start her own business, they still stood by her side without hesitation. This profound love filled her heart with strength.

"Thank you, Dad, thank you, Mom," Chen Nianxi said, her voice choked with emotion. "I knew you would support me."

Shen Nian'an smiled and said, "Little sister, if you need any help, just ask. My company can provide you with financial support at any time."

Su Yue'e chimed in, "Yes, Nianxi, if you're too busy with things like studio renovations and hiring, I can lend you a hand."

Looking at the family before her, Shen Nianxi felt a warmth in her heart. She wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and gave a bright smile: "Thank you, brother, thank you, sister-in-law. With you here, I'm not afraid of anything."

After breakfast, Shen Nian'an accompanied Shen Tingzhou to the vegetable garden to work. The father and son, one carrying a bamboo pole and the other a hemp rope, were building trellises for the cucumbers. Su Yue'e helped Lin Wanqiu clear the dishes; the crisp sound of the clinking porcelain bowls mingled with the laughter in the yard, creating a beautiful symphony of fireworks. Shen Nianzu followed Lin Wanqiu like a little tail, handing her a rag one moment and moving a small stool the next. He chattered away about his fun at kindergarten, telling her about the new nursery rhymes his teacher had taught him, how his friends had stolen his eraser, and how he had received a little red flower. He made Lin Wanqiu laugh heartily, her eyes brimming with happiness.

Shen Nianxi sat in a wicker chair under the grape trellis, holding a drawing in her hand, examining it carefully. It was her hand-drawn design of a dance studio. In the drawing, the dance studio had a smooth solid wood floor, a huge floor-to-ceiling mirror on the wall, and next to the mirror was a row of neat ballet bars. In the corner, there were also a few potted plants. The whole studio was warm and full of artistic atmosphere.

After clearing away the dishes, Lin Wanqiu came over with a pot of brewed chrysanthemum tea and handed the cup to Chen Nianxi: "Have some chrysanthemum tea to cleanse your palate."

Shen Nianxi took the cup, took a sip, and the fragrance of chrysanthemum tea filled her mouth. Pointing to the drawings, she excitedly said to Lin Wanqiu, "Mom, look, this is the studio I designed. I plan to open it on the cultural street in the city center. There's a lot of foot traffic there, and the cultural atmosphere is very rich, making it perfect for a dance studio."

Lin Wanqiu leaned closer, examining the drawings closely, her eyes filled with admiration: "The design is truly beautiful. You've always been so skillful, child." She paused, then asked, "Have you decided on a name for the studio yet?"

Shen Nianxi nodded, a hint of anticipation in her eyes: "I've decided, let's call it 'Fanghua Dance Studio'. I hope that every child who comes here to learn dance can blossom in their own youth."

“Fanghua Dance Studio.” Lin Wanqiu murmured the name softly, a satisfied smile appearing on her lips. “It’s a good name, and the meaning is good too.”

A radiant smile spread across Shen Nianxi's face. She looked around the yard: her father and brother were busy in the vegetable garden, her mother was beside her, her little nephew was chasing butterflies in the garden, and her sister-in-law was hanging laundry inside. Sunlight bathed everyone, casting a golden glow, warm and beautiful. Her heart was filled with happiness. She knew that with her family's support, her studio would surely thrive.

After clearing away the dishes, Lin Wanqiu took Chen Nianzu to tend the garden. This small garden was her most prized possession, a paradise she had personally created brick by brick, plant by plant. It was filled with flowers and plants she had transplanted from her spatial dimension. The roses were in full bloom, their layers of petals like burning flames, passionate and unrestrained; the roses exuded a rich fragrance, mellow and lingering, refreshing and invigorating; the peonies were in bud, each plump bud like a small fist poised to burst forth, radiating vitality; and there were also daisies and jasmine of various colors, blooming riotously, decorating the entire garden like a colorful painting, dazzling the eye.

In the vegetable garden not far away, Shen Tingzhou and Shen Nian'an were building trellises for the cucumbers. Shen Tingzhou's movements were steady and skillful, driving bamboo poles deep into the soil and then securing several poles together with hemp rope. Years of military service had instilled in him a deft and efficient approach to everything he did. Shen Nian'an watched attentively, occasionally asking his father about the rope-tying techniques. The father and son would sometimes exchange a knowing smile, understanding each other without needing many words. Shen Tingzhou looked at his son's upright figure, at the composure and responsibility in his eyes, and felt a surge of pride. This child, once thin and timid, who would hide in his mother's arms even during thunderstorms, had now grown into a responsible and visionary man, supporting his family and a thriving business. He knew that he and Wanqiu could confidently entrust this family and Wanqiu Food Workshop to him.
