Chapter 48 Falling into the Trap

The two quickly retreated from the cabin and used heavy objects to firmly block the only door.

The room was plunged into darkness in an instant.

Liu Zhixia listened until the commotion outside completely disappeared, but her eyes showed no sign of panic.

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a chilling howl of a wild beast echoed from the depths of the forest.

Seeing the evasive gaze of the person in his arms, Shen Yi felt a pang of loss.

He immediately snapped out of his thoughts; now was not the time to think about such things!

Shen Yi first helped Liu Zhixia down from the roof, and then the two of them worked together to get the unconscious Zhao Dongmei down.

Shen Yi carried Zhao Dongmei on his back, with Liu Zhixia following closely behind, and the two of them descended the mountain in the dark.
