"Brother Qin Zheng! You're back!"

Hearing Gu Jin and Qin Zheng talking outside, Tian Xiaohui quickly went to open the door.

Standing outside the door were Qin Zheng and Gu Jin, who were helping Chen Zhenxing down from the sidewalk and carrying the unconscious Chen Zhenxing towards the shop.

"Director Chen!" Liu Wan rushed over and grabbed Chen Zhenxing's hand.

Seeing that Chen Zhenxing was unconscious, she anxiously patted his face, "Factory Director Chen, wake up..."

"He was fed something and won't wake up for a while," Qin Zheng explained. "Gu Jin, take him to your room to rest."

"good."

Gu Jin took Chen Zhenxing and strode towards the backyard, with Liu Wan following closely behind them with worry.

Seeing this, Dongdong jogged after him.

Fortunately, Liu Wan noticed the child, took his little hand, and led him into the house with Gu Jin.

Tian Xiaohui felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. She yawned, waved, and said, "It's good that you're back. I'm going to go back to sleep now. You guys should go to sleep early too."

After saying that, she left.

With the noise finally gone, Ye Yun got up and walked over to Qin Zheng, straightening his disheveled collar. "Have you completely offended Xu Jiashen?"

"Um."

Qin Zheng held her small hand, his breath steady, and smiled indifferently, "He insisted on seeing you, but I refused. I said I could talk to him about the garment factory issue, but he looked down on me and said I wasn't worthy to talk to him. He wouldn't release Chen Zhenxing until he saw you, so I got angry and started fighting with Gu Jin."

Are there many of them?

"Quite a few," Qin Zheng smiled. "But I captured Xu Jiashen."

Ye Yun suddenly realized.

"I left him in the middle of nowhere, so he'd think about bullying you. I'll teach him a lesson." Qin Zheng hugged her, his eyes full of love.

Ye Yun couldn't help but laugh.

"Now we've really made an enemy of him. You hit him, so you have to be extra careful when you go out in the future. And Gu Jin, you two better not separate."

Xu Jiashen is a treacherous and cunning man. Given his style of doing things, he might use some dirty tricks to retaliate against you.

"Qin Zheng, I'm grateful that you used such a simple and crude method to draw Xu Jiashen's hatred onto you and Gu Jin, but I also feel a little guilty, as if I've harmed you both."

"Wife, how come you see right through me?"

Embarrassed, the man, whose thoughts had been exposed, chuckled and scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

That's pretty much his plan for tonight.

If they can't reach an agreement, then they'll do it. If Xu Jiashen holds a grudge against him, he won't have time to bother Ye Yun.

Ye Yun is his wife, and she's pregnant with his child. As a grown man, how could he not protect his wife and child?

"Thank you for your hard work, Qin Zheng."

"You're talking nonsense again."

"You must be tired. Let me get you some hot water, wipe yourself down, and get a good night's sleep." Ye Yun couldn't bring herself to say anything to him, and tenderly stroked the man's forehead, which was covered with a thin layer of sweat.

Qin Zheng nodded and said okay.

However, he still didn't let Ye Yun do anything. He went to get hot water himself and only let Ye Yun help him wipe his back.

It is now 4 a.m.

After all that commotion, Qin Zheng lost his sleepiness and decided to go next door to check on Gu Jin.

Gu Jin was not in the room.

Inside the room were only Liu Wan and the unconscious Chen Zhenxing. Liu Wan had filled a basin with water and was wiping Chen Zhenxing's face, while Dongdong, who was holding Chen Zhenxing's hand and dozing off, was nearby.

Qin Zheng picked up the child and took him to his and Ye Yun's room to sleep with Xiao Hai.

Where is Gu Jin?

Ye Yun was puzzled.

Liu Wan shook her head. "I don't know, I just went out."

"..."

Just as she was wondering what was going on, a pig-like scream suddenly came from next door, startling Ye Yun so much that her scalp tingled.

Gu Jin, shirtless and bare-chested, sat on Tian Xiaohui's bed with his back to her. His back was covered in crisscrossing bruises. Tian Xiaohui was applying safflower oil to his body, and he cried out in pain with each application.

"Tian Xiaohui! Can you be a little gentler!"

"Pah! Can't you be a little more dignified?" Tian Xiaohui applied safflower oil to his wounds, her face full of disgust. "Are you going to fight? You're going to get beaten up! Who comes back from a fight covered in bruises!"

"It's me! It's me! Do you even know how many enemies there are? I'm lucky to be back!"

"Bullshit, how come Brother Qin Zheng wasn't injured?"

His embarrassment made Tian Xiaohui chuckle, and she softened her movements as she rubbed safflower oil on him.

Gu Jin shut his mouth in frustration.

Ye Yun just wiped Qin Zheng's back and didn't see any injuries on him.

"Qin Zheng trained by fighting since he was a child. I've hardly ever fought in my life. How can you compare us..." Gu Jin said sullenly, shaking his head.

In the past, when they encountered danger on missions, he was always the one Qin Zheng protected.

Otherwise, why would he always follow Qin Zheng and think about Qin Zheng's benefits in everything he does? Isn't it because Qin Zheng treats him like a brother and is good to him?

There were too many people tonight, and Qin Zheng was overwhelmed, so he got hit with a lot of sticks.

"If you're not capable, don't make excuses. Tomorrow, go hang out with Zheng Song and let him give you a good lesson."

A cold, unfeeling voice came through.

Ye Yun turned her head and saw Qin Zheng, who had finished delivering Dongdong, walking up behind her.

Qin Zheng habitually took her small hand and led her into Tian Xiaohui's house.
