Su Xiaonuan went to Taiping Town. She reviewed the case files and met with her family members from the missing person case. They were two elderly people with wrinkled faces that showed the marks of time.

"Young lady, I heard you helped solve a case in Fengshou Town. You must help us this time too."

The two elderly men knelt down before her with a thud.

"Grandpas, please get up." Su Xiaonuan bent down and helped them up.

After they sat down, Su Xiaonuan personally served them tea, and only began her questions after they had calmed down a bit. "Grandpas, why are you so convinced that your daughter isn't missing?"

"It's definitely not missing. My daughter must have had an accident. She would never do something as shameful as eloping with someone." The old woman was in tears. "She's my own child. As her mother, I know her best. She's always been well-mannered and kind. She and her husband had a good relationship, and she even had two children. How could she possibly have cheated on me?"

Su Xiaonuan had read through the entire case. The whole village could testify to the missing person's infidelity. Everyone said the two had eloped. It's no wonder that Taiping Town had preconceived notions; all the evidence was there.

Now, she is going to visit another missing family.

Of the three children, the youngest looks remarkably like the woman.

Xiao Nuan thought that the eldest and second children might resemble their father.

"The neighbors have all reported missing persons, why haven't you?"

"Someone already reported it, why should I report it?" The woman looked at Su Xiaonuan with resentment. "Knowing they eloped together, why should I go and humiliate myself?"

The woman was furious that her husband had eloped with another woman, so it was normal for her not to report it to the police. No one thought anything was wrong. On the contrary, the whole village felt sorry for the mother and her children and cursed the woman who had taken her husband away.

"How did you find out that your man was having an affair with the woman next door?" Su Xiaonuan continued to ask.

If you're so capable, go find those two shameless people! We, a widow and her child, have had enough these past years. When will you ever stop?"

Normally, if someone says something like that, you would soften your heart or think that she is indeed a victim.
