A Daily Lottery Turned Me into a Witch

Transported to a Western fantasy world, I became a noble with garbage-tier aptitude. Although I awakened a talent that lets me draw a lottery every day, most of the stuff I pulled was pure junk. He...

Chapter 19: Break (1/2)

In an abandoned house on the outskirts of Rendria.

Mabus and his men tracked all the way here. The ring was obtained by him by chance. When he was wearing it, his mind was unusually clear. It was definitely not a simple thing, so he must get it back!

"Damn it, how could it be brought to Rendria so soon?" Mabus wanted to vomit blood. The ring had only been lost for one day and it was brought to the royal capital. It was simply outrageous.

A younger brother said worriedly, "Boss, the capital is heavily guarded. Will we be caught if we go in?"

"Yes, Boss. It's just a ring. We robbed that noble yesterday. He had a huge box of jewels. Why do you have to find just a ring?"

You know nothing!

Mabuse was about to curse.

Bang!

Blazing flames burst out from his body, and in just a moment, Mabuse turned into a fire man. The dazzling flames illuminated the faces of all his younger brothers with horror.

"Boss!"

“Brother!”

"Ahhh! It's hot! Help me, help me! Water!" Mabuse screamed wildly and rolled on the ground.

The younger brothers cried out in shock, quickly took off their clothes, and frantically tried to beat the flames, but to no avail. They failed to extinguish the fire, nor did they ignite anything else. Instead, the boss's screams became smaller and smaller in the flames.

Until the boss stopped struggling, the flames went out silently, leaving only a charred corpse.

All the younger brothers looked at each other, their expressions filled with great confusion.

I can't understand the situation at all.

"Ghost!" One of the younger brothers shouted in fear and immediately ran away.

The rest of the younger brothers followed suit and ran away.

......

Hecate continued to cast fire spells at Mabuse until the magic failed.

"He should be dead." She opened her eyes and fell on the bed a little dizzy. Mabuse was a little far away from her, and it would consume more magic power to cast the fire spell.

I slept till the next day.

When I went downstairs, I met Natasha. She seemed to be in much better condition. The setbacks she experienced in a short period of time made her look depressed. Only when Hecate appeared did she force a smile.

When I was getting ready to go to school, a young girl with a noble temperament appeared outside the door.

"Good morning, Hecate." Betty greeted with a smile.

This is to come to Tanqi's identity and take me as his exclusive knight.

Hecate nodded quietly and said, "Good morning, Betty."

On the way to school, there were many passers-by in a hurry, but none of them stopped them from getting to school.

Soon after entering the academy, magic letters flew out from the central tower and landed in the hands of students. They were notification letters of war on the border.

For a moment, the students were in an uproar.

Hecate read the letter quietly. It said that many teachers had gone to the border to defend against the enemy, so the academy had to suspend classes temporarily. Students could continue to use the academy's facilities for self-study.

With so many teachers heading to the border, does this mean the scale of this war will be huge?

Betty grabbed Hecate's hand and pulled her into the grove, where there were no noisy students and it was very quiet.

"Hecate, my real identity is the lord of the Kingdom of Uruk. Do you want to be my exclusive knight?" Betty asked seriously.

"In no mood."

Because Hecate already knew Betty's identity and what she wanted to do, her answer was a little quick and indifferent.

This attitude immediately broke Betty's defense. She widened her eyes and asked in disbelief, "Why?"

It was the first time she revealed her identity, but she gained absolutely no emotional value from the other party.

I am the master. When you hear my identity, shouldn't you be more respectful to me?

Even if you don't believe it, you shouldn't be so indifferent!
