The plot is entirely original by the author and has basically nothing to do with the game plot, but the character designs won't be changed too much.
However, if there are errors in facili...
I watched the transporter go by in my armor, sighed softly, then squatted down and picked up Liv: "They're gone, it's time for us to leave too."
Liv's petite body sat on my right arm, looking back at the campsite where she had lived for the past two weeks, now a messy and filthy place. "Commander, are we just going to leave all this emergency furniture here?"
I thought for a moment, then stretched out my left arm. A cannon hole appeared on the inside of the armor on my left arm. "Then let's burn everything here."
Liv slapped my helmet with a displeased expression: "Commander! Don't do that."
I sheathed the weapon on my left arm. "Okay, just kidding. Let's get going. We have a meeting to go."
As I said that, I turned on the anti-gravity device and left in the opposite direction of the transport vehicle. The transport vehicle was heading towards the front line of the battlefield, and I was about to go to the command center in the rear.
Two hours later.
I was the second one to arrive at the conference room, and Vanessa was the first. The conference room felt like a large, disc-shaped tin house, surrounded by shielding devices. I was a little confused. What did this mean? Was it to prevent eavesdropping? This was...
I pulled out a chair and sat down next to Vanessa, then leaned over and put my legs on the table and stretched out, looking very lazy. It was mainly because I was too drunk yesterday and my head was still hurting.
I pinched my temples with a look of pain on my face. "Those guys haven't arrived yet? The operation should start tomorrow, right? We need to finalize the plan sooner so those on the front lines can prepare earlier!"
Vanessa was still wearing the black command uniform, but the eye patch on her right eye was gone, but she still had two bows on her head.
Vanessa checked the time and replied, "It should be half an hour. Don't be so anxious."
Vanessa moved her chair back as she spoke. Vanessa was a little short, and the tall wooden chair meant her feet didn't even touch the ground.
I noticed the boots on Vanessa's feet. Judging from the mud on her boots, she must have run around a lot. There was also a row of dirty footprints from the entrance to here.
I noticed Vanessa shaking her legs and guessed, "Vanessa, your feet must be hurting right now, and your boots look really stuffy. I suggest you take them off and let some air out."
Vanessa couldn't help laughing when she heard what I said: "Hahaha! That's right, these boots are quite durable, but they're not very breathable."
As she spoke, Vanessa used the tip of her right toe to push hard on the heel of her left boot and took one off. In a short while, she had taken off both boots.
Vanessa was wearing black socks, the soles of which were so fuzzy that if your socks weren't of good quality, I'd think they would have worn holes in them.
I jokingly complained, "Hmm~~ There's an unknown smell in the air all of a sudden. What's going on?"
Vanessa smiled faintly, "Ahaha! Really?"
He stood up instantly and gave a side kick. I reacted immediately and grabbed Vanessa's ankle with one hand, feeling the soft touch of my palm. I used my thumb to find the right position and pressed hard on the acupoint on Vanessa's ankle.
Vanessa couldn't help but say, "Ah!"
Vanessa pumped her left leg hard, an angry expression on her slightly red cheeks: "What are you doing, you guy? Let me go quickly."
I ignored Vanessa's call and took off her socks with my left hand. I looked at Vanessa's feet carefully. The soles of her feet were covered with blisters, and the flesh turned red. Some places that were severely rubbed even had some pale calluses.
I pressed hard on Vanessa's soles and asked, "Why don't you take care of your feet? How did your feet get worn like this? I remember there were some mobility aids in the Sky Garden."
Vanessa's body trembled constantly from the tingling sensation on the soles of her feet, but she kept her expression as normal as possible. "Uh-huh... you, don't you know? I basically never go back to the Sky Garden. I never do those maintenance things. In fact, even if I did, I wouldn't be able to keep it up for long. Those means of transportation are completely useless and it's extremely easy to lose control."
I thought about it and realized that was indeed the case. I turned around and reached out to grab Vanessa's right leg again.
Vanessa did not resist, but stretched out her right leg and placed it on my leg, enjoying my massage obediently.
I pressed my foot and asked, "Hey! Is this mission a real fight? It's obviously just to capture the hidden upgrades. There's no need to actually send so many people to the battlefield, right?"
Vanessa felt the pain in her body, but her mind remained focused. She continued with her usual style: "If I don't act convincingly, how could those guys fall for it? The goal of these Ascenders is to completely destroy humanity. With such a good opportunity, they're bound to reveal something."
Me: “Will everyone who knows about this come to this meeting?”
Vanessa: "Those present here are Lester, Schmidt, Connie, me, you, and an old general, Hans, whose rank is one level lower than Connie's. They should all know about this."
When I heard the name Hans, it felt familiar. Where had I heard it before? I thought about it for a while, but I couldn't think of it.
Me: "Hans? Who is that?"
Vanessa explained, "He was a general in the International Association's army. He now serves as the commander of a combat squad in the Sky Garden. He retired five years ago due to illness, but was recently called back."
I was a little surprised: "Huh! Is that so? He's still going strong, but why did that Lister guy come?"
