Chapter 30 Processing

I rummaged through the office of this perverted old man and found a very small safe in the drawer of the desk. I broke the lock with my gun and found a booklet inside the safe, which contained the War Hero Medal jointly awarded with the Arctic Route.

This is fucking ridiculous! I held the medal in my hand and placed it on the table, then opened the booklet. The first few pages were photos of this old man with other people during his military service.

The damn old man and others in the photo were laughing so happily. When I turned the page, I thought it was something else?

But it also dispelled my doubts about this orphanage. I finally understood why this orphanage could be so luxurious and even had connections with the Chamber of Commerce. Now that they found out the truth, they are probably preparing to run away.

I thought for a moment, and then there was another rumbling sound outside. Karenina jumped in from the window and said, "Commander, the army is coming."

Me: “Has the medical team not arrived yet?”

Karenina: "The army came straight in before I even reached the hospital. We killed so many policemen, someone might have reported it to the Arctic Route Joint Commission."

What on earth were these people thinking? There were so many people here who needed saving, why so much trouble?

Me: "Karenina, you go ahead and help Liv and the others. I'll handle the army."

Karenina: "Are you sure you can do this alone?"

I sighed and said, "There's no way I can get out." I stuffed the booklet and the medal into my pocket, then jumped out of the window again.

The army had entered the orphanage. I was standing alone in the center of the lobby, surrounded by fully armed soldiers.

A tall and burly man emerged from inside, who should be their leader.

He shouted at me angrily, "I'm General Clark. Did you kill the dean and the police outside?"

I said expressionlessly, "They deserved to die." Clark rushed towards me at an extremely fast speed and rested his head on my helmet. "They are my comrades who have been through life and death with me. Why should the people of the Sky Garden kill them?"

When I heard what he said, I understood that this general was the most righteous person who was not contaminated, so the dean, Officer Elek and others did not drag the general into the water.

I couldn't help but burst out laughing: "Hahahaha!"

The general angrily pressed his pistol against my helmet and said, "I'm giving you a chance to speak now out of respect. If this continues, you and your team will die."

I was about to explain, but suddenly a maid rushed over and knelt beside the general, trembling all over, but still speaking out: "He is our savior, please don't kill him."

The general was furious when he heard this: "He killed your dean, he was once my subordinate, and the police outside are also... Why are you still pleading for him?"

I sneered and said, "They are no longer your former comrades. Now they are just demons, murderous demons."

Clark gradually calmed down: "What do you mean?"

Me: "Look, this maid, despite her own life, is begging me for mercy. You should understand what the dean has done. Do you need me to take you there?"

Clark's eyes widened as he calmed down and put away his gun. "Alright! As long as you can prove that it was all my men's fault, I'll let you go. Tricks are useless."

I stood up from the ground and took Clark over. The soldiers behind me did not take any action.

I took Clark to the third floor. Clark looked at the hole below and said, "This is a secret room."

I replied, "Yes, all the evidence is in there. I hope you're prepared and don't vomit all over the floor. I've already vomited."

After saying that, I grabbed Clark's shoulders and jumped down. Liv and the others were still treating the girls. Clark stared at the scene in front of him, motionless. Clark: "What is this? These pregnant girls? These corpses? These heads?"

I was furious when I heard Clark's words. I pushed him to the ground and yelled at him, "Don't you see clearly enough? Do you think this is fake?"

I pushed him in front of the cabinet containing the children's heads. "Can you see clearly from this close? These are children, and they're dead! Who killed them? Your trusted comrades."

I held his head in my right hand and looked at the corpses hanging on the wall. "See those children who were disemboweled? Their internal organs and blood were all over the floor. Can't you see clearly? It's like a battlefield, but is this a battlefield?"

I dragged him straight to the basement and opened the door to the pool of blood where the bodies were piled. "Is that water? Wow! I've never seen water so red in my life. Do you see those limbs and heads floating in the water? They're too far away, right? Can you come a little closer?"

As I spoke, I pushed Clark's body into the pool of blood. But maybe he had some disease, so I suppressed my anger, threw Clark back, and closed the door.

Clark slumped on the ground, his burly body now curled up like a turtle and trembling constantly, but within two minutes, he recovered.

He must have seen a lot of bloody scenes on the battlefield, but even when he stood up, his eyes became very dull. I walked up to him and looked into his eyes: "Do you know what you should do?"

Clark composed himself and said, "I'm sorry. I didn't realize that my subordinates would become like this after so many decades. It's my fault."

I pulled out a notebook and a medal from my pocket. "This medal belongs to that perverted old man. The people involved in this incident are listed at the back of this booklet. Now that they've heard something's happened here, they're probably trying to escape. What you should do now is arrest these people. They were your former comrades. As a general, I hope you can do the right thing. I've called for medical personnel several times. These children might still be saved. I don't know how many will survive what you've done to them. Also, have someone clean up this place and give each of these children a grave. Don't let them suffer too much."
