"Operator, hello. If you are hearing this broadcast, it means the erosion has already begun, and we have started to be forgotten by the world."
"If the erosion goes too deep and c...
[252 loves battle royale!]
The rule is set by 252! What 252 says goes!
【252? Hmm... I like this name! But I hate 659! 659 is a big idiot (*censored) 659, don't even think about bargaining!】
(*Mocking laughter)
What can you do to me, you idiot 659?
After the annoying electronic sound stopped, He Yu regained consciousness.
The situation was anything but funny. He found himself in a circular, transparent capsule, his chest covered with various measuring instruments, and even his head was covered with a helmet. He could hear electrical buzzing from the back of his head, as if he were a machine being charged.
He Yu twisted his neck. His hands were bound. There were five identical cabins in front of him, but he didn't see Long Sanshi. Instead, a young man with an indifferent expression raised his eyebrows at him.
"You're awake, handsome."
The man bent his thumb and tapped on the glass barrier as a greeting.
He Yu noticed a label on the top of the cabin that read "Bai Liang," which should be his name.
They were in a space similar to a carriage, probably the back of some kind of vehicle. The road was very bumpy, and all the cabins would shake from time to time.
"Hey! Handsome guy? He Yu!"
Seeing that he ignored him, Bai Liang called out a few more times: "Chat with me for a while. We've been locked up by these lunatics for months. It's rare for us to be able to come out and get some fresh air."
"What are you? Where are we going?" He Yu never wasted words; he needed to know as much information as possible.
"Haha, I think you've had too many tranquilizers and gone stupid."
Bai Liang was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. He laughed to himself for a while until he saw He Yu remove the restraints with his bare hands and raise his hand to smash the barrier with a punch. He then stopped and hurriedly replied, "Don't get excited. You're my brother, okay? Calm down. I don't want to be tortured by those bastards because of you."
“Answer my question.”
"Damn it... another lunatic." Bai Liang sighed and replied helplessly, "Have you forgotten? We were experimental subjects, brought here by an organization called 252 for human research."
"Go on."
He Yu's voice was calm, composed, and indifferent.
"What the hell can I say? Every poor soul who comes here is the same. They're inexplicably captured and implanted with all sorts of strange creatures and drugs. How could I possibly know the reason? Anyway, I don't know how long you've been here. You don't see the test subjects every day. I only saw you today."
Bai Liang was clearly uncomfortable as his bad memories were stirred up, and his voice trembled slightly: "Please, we're all suffering people, so don't make things difficult for me."
Where are we going?
"Perform a show."
At that moment, another voice broke in. It was an unusually obese man named Peng Er, who had also woken up. He looked around and said numbly, "We must fight each other until they are satisfied."
It really is a battle royale, yet another one.
He Yu shook his head, feeling that 252 was like a childish child. Only a child would focus on something that had no future. He recalled the series of electronic sounds when he woke up and fell into thought again.
Why would 252 know about 659 inside him?
A strange idea arose in my mind.
Did all the forbidden objects actually know each other before they were controlled by Eoubs?
"Damn it! Why was I the one chosen?!"
"This is it, I might as well have died in the lab."
People gradually woke up; some started cursing, while others sighed.
This scene seemed familiar. He Yu felt an unbearable headache and wished he could break through the barrier right now and kill all these good-for-nothings who loved to talk nonsense.
The vehicle carrying them seemed to have entered some rocky terrain, bouncing several times before finally coming to a slow stop.
At the same time, all the compartments opened with a "whoosh," the helmet that had been securing the back of the head was released, and the restraints came off.
A woman climbed out of the compartment next to the carriage door. She glanced back at the others, her gaze lingering on He Yu for a few seconds before her expression turned puzzled.
"We have arrived at our destination."
"We have arrived at our destination."
"All test subjects, please disembark and await further instructions."
Someone took the lead and kicked open the rear door of the car. The cold air and the smell of engine oil instantly rushed in. The pungent impact made everyone in the car close their eyes and frown, and some even started coughing violently.
He Yu clicked his tongue, ignored the others, and walked directly out of the carriage. Outside was a desolate wilderness that seemed to stretch endlessly, with Niu Mountain towering high, but the sound of waves crashing against the rocky shore could be faintly heard.
He looked behind him and saw eighteen more trucks parked there, their doors fully open, with people coming out one after another. They were all wearing the same striped hospital gowns and staring blankly at their surroundings.
"Hello fellow test subjects, I am the organizer of this battle royale competition. You can call me 252."
The announcement came on at the right time. He Yu stood for a while, but found it boring, so he avoided the crowd and found a rock to sit on.
"Congratulations on passing the first test and surviving months of intensive experiments. But I must remind you that the real test is just beginning."
"As one of the 108 [players] with extraordinary abilities, you should take responsibility for your own capabilities, but there is far too much to go through to become a true hero."
