"Operator, hello. If you are hearing this broadcast, it means the erosion has already begun, and we have started to be forgotten by the world."

Chapter 206 Cycle
He Yu had a dream. He rarely dreams because what he sees is never a good thing, but anyway, it was a dream.
He saw a group of warriors—trying again and again to destroy this false world that grew chains.
They were all furious and determined to destroy it.
So the warriors marched toward the headquarters of the Heavenly Gospel Company.
The sky was murky and yellowish, its color resembling a poorly made oil painting by an amateur artist, nothing but pollution and chaos.
The surrounding buildings were equally grotesque, covered in concentric, twisting vortexes, devoid of any sharp edges. Yet, one could still vaguely discern murals, sculptures, or other exquisite decorations, faintly visible within the countless enclosed nests, illuminated by dim lights. However, this bizarre beauty was utterly meaningless in the midst of war.
He Yu's vision widened uncontrollably. As the soldiers continued forward, he found the surroundings growing increasingly dark, until he could barely see anything in the world. Someone gave the order, and they put on their night vision goggles, instantly turning the buildings into a dark green hue.
The view was incredibly strange, like a living 3D world, making it impossible to focus on just one path. This dark and gloomy world unfolded further before their eyes.
He saw the scene inside—countless spiraling entrances leading upwards, the passageways clinging to countless pupae-like creatures, the beings inside occasionally wriggling. He could also see the "lucky ones" who had undergone customized genetic modification, densely packed crimson monsters carrying a new batch of pupae through the chaotic, concentrated passageways. They had undergone layers of evolution, while the eliminated ones were devoured by their own kind in the blink of an eye.
Within this colossal, insect-nest-like world lie countless dissolving consumables, each grotesquely shaped, covered in crimson slime, or lying alone in a corner, dead. Everything here operates under chilling rules; every detail reveals the creator's brutal, bloodthirsty nature and its insatiable desire to devour all things.
He Yu's gaze began to move, and he saw a pop-up split screen next to him... something similar to terminal permissions, which looked very familiar—it was someone's separate terminal. Actually, there was no need to create such a thing, but the other party just wanted to do it. Someone in the crowd muttered that it would be fine to just look at it, and they would feel at ease.
"We have no choice but to keep going, about seventy meters."
"Okay, stop."
So everyone stopped in their tracks, silent and still, like a horde of vengeful spirits wandering through hell. They had been sprayed with a custom-made suppressant, which would render the monsters unaware of their presence—but the effect wouldn't last long.
The next second, a patrol of "new humans" walked straight past the warriors. These monsters all had deformed, enormous hind legs and eight sharp, eerie forelegs shaped like scythes, but their faces still retained their former appearances—the faces of those who were born human could be found.
These humanoid creatures crawled back and forth in the passage, then passed by them not far away, slowly disappearing into the darkness at the end, just as silently.
"Okay, let's continue." A voice said this, and it sounded very familiar.
The group continued forward steadily, and the leader in the earpiece continued, "Keep moving forward until you reach the end of the passage, then turn left, all the way to the end, and keep turning left. You may then encounter a patrol team of thirty people. Twenty-seven seconds from that point, three more patrol teams of the same number will join you at the six o'clock and twelve o'clock positions."
“We’ll get it done in a minute, sir.”
"Haha, do you think that's true?" another voice suddenly said, with a mocking and sarcastic tone.
It's also very familiar.
"It doesn't matter. If you can't handle it, just wait 27 seconds before you run into the sweeping force sent by the Blood Source of All Things." The other party said with a smile, "That's quite a large force, a total of 227 genetically modified soldiers."
“I think killing your sister is more suitable as an operation planner…” the man muttered. Before he finished speaking, He Yu’s gaze suddenly moved forward uncontrollably. He saw himself raise his gun and sweep it across the patrol team that was coming towards him.
The entire passage was instantly engulfed in flames, with bullets and shrapnel flying everywhere. In the blink of an eye, most of the monsters undergoing the modification experiment were dead. A few that managed to survive immediately pounced on them, only to be instantly killed by the soldiers who reacted from behind.
"Damn it, I told you not to bring this lunatic along. He always rushes to the front."
"Please, if he wants to die sooner, let him. Why are you getting so worked up?"
"You...you're not gay, are you?"
"Fuck you."
He ignored everything and rushed into the sea of fire without hesitation.
That's when he woke up.
He Yu was having trouble keeping track of time, and even felt his memories were becoming jumbled. Just a second ago, his colleagues were asking him if he was feeling unwell, but the next second he was jolted awake from his dream.
He stared at the number in the lower right corner of the screen—it was already time to leave work.
Why aren't you awake yet? Can you please stop paying attention to those rubbish dreams?
Honestly, whatever... things will be back to normal soon anyway.
[The above message will be repeated to every operative.]
