"Operator, hello. If you are hearing this broadcast, it means the erosion has already begun, and we have started to be forgotten by the world."
"If the erosion goes too deep and c...
He Yu picked up a gun from the ground and frantically pulled the trigger on the head of a monster that pounced at his feet. Another one pounced from the left, but he didn't even look at it. He pulled out a string from his hand, swung it hard, and cut it in two.
Then, he threw away his gun, which was now out of bullets, grabbed a fruit knife from the table, and slashed at the monster that was lunging at him again.
Blood and flesh splattered instantly, and a huge, scarlet chunk of flesh burst out from behind, its face covered in bone spikes taking over the entire field of vision.
He felt only bad luck; if this thing touched him, he would probably be riddled with holes. Then, a net made of hundreds and thousands of lines wrapped around the monster, and with the contraction of the immense pressure, it was shredded into blood.
But in the instant it was crushed, the sticky tissue reassembled into a small monster. This deformed creature, like glue, flowed out from the cracks and was right in front of us in the blink of an eye.
He Yu immediately dodged to the side, and kicked a mangled, bloody corpse with his right foot, sending it flying.
The monster instantly materialized, opening its massive mouth like a fledgling bird, its interior filled with sharp teeth and bits of flesh. He paid no heed to it, firing at yet another mutated creature behind him.
Bamke had just smashed a monster's head when he threw a grenade into its mouth. The explosion instantly obliterated its body, but the corpse it had just swallowed began to twitch like a puppet with its strings undone.
Screams and the sounds of flesh being torn apart filled the air; blood splattered everywhere, and limbs flew about, but no one cared about the scene.
Those here have all received some training and know how to protect themselves. When fighting these monsters hand-to-hand, they must ignore their bloody wounds.
At such moments, all humanity vanishes, leaving only the bloodiest and purest slaughter. Everyone desperately tries to survive, but more and more people die and are transformed into an equal number of monsters.
He Yu yanked down the obstacle blocking his way and stepped over their corpses without stopping.
Another gun ran out of bullets. He clicked his tongue, tossed it aside, and didn't know what model he had replaced it with. He just kept firing around.
He killed three mutated creatures in front of him in a row, when suddenly he felt a pain in his waist. He didn't even see what it was, but he swayed for a moment, and a tingling, cold sensation spread from the wound, and half of his body instantly stiffened... Damn, it even has an enchantment effect. It's truly a perfect species on the path of evolution.
Another alien screamed and pounced. He spread his arms wide, too lazy to even dodge, and had his head bitten off.
Beside him, Bamke bit open the pin and threw two grenades forward. He turned around, about to say something, when he saw He Yu get up from the ground. Half of his face was still recovering, with his gums and eyeballs exposed. He was currently holding a monster by the neck, pressing its head against the blade of a sword until the tip pierced through its eye socket.
After finishing everything, he twisted his neck and walked out with steady steps.
At the same time, a bolt of lightning that seemed to tear the sky apart flashed across the sky, thunder roared, and the rain poured down again, as if someone had climbed directly to the clouds and was desperately pouring water down.
He was covered in blood, which was drenched in just a few seconds. All the firelight had been extinguished, and the two were surrounded by corpses.
He Yu raised his head and glanced at the gloomy sky. Although he was in a bad situation, he always looked indifferent and disdainful, as if he were the final victor.
The rain poured down violently, the monster stopped advancing, and the whole scene fell into an inexplicable silence, as if the whole world didn't know what to do.
He squinted and looked for a while, thinking to himself, no wonder it looked so familiar. The statue in front of him was the one where Claude had abused that unfortunate guy before, and it was now piled with corpses again.
Lilith sat atop a pile of bones, looking over expressionlessly. Her cold-blooded and insane demeanor, combined with the countless gruesome corpses, made her seem like she had stepped out of a horror movie, sending chills down one's spine.
Bamke suddenly realized that the head at the bottom looked familiar. He nudged the shoulder of the man next to him, and before he could say anything, the man said, "It's that damned Japanese guy. I know he was trying to do something in the chaos, but he had bad luck and ran into a brick wall."
He gave Lilith a meaningful look, clearly finding the conclusion somewhat hard to accept.
He Yu made a "you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do" expression, then grabbed the rocket launcher from the ground, turned the power to the maximum, and fired a shot directly at it.
Without a word, Bamke pulled the trigger at the same instant, and the muzzle burst into flames. All the bullets hit Lilith accurately, including the specially made incendiary cannon.
"boring."
She patted the flames off her body, stood up as if nothing had happened, and walked towards them.
"Why don't you use your special abilities to do something big? Don't hold back—" Before he could finish speaking, Bamke dropped his gun, turned around, and ran towards the back door of the banquet. His speed was... about the limit of a sprinter, and as for the duration, it was probably infinite.
He Yu was speechless. The next moment, a line of blood appeared from his left eye to his jaw. Blood slowly seeped from the wound. With a snap, his head was split in two, and his brain was scattered on the ground and trampled on.
“I’m very curious about you, and I’ve been wanting to ask you a question.” Lilith had already walked up to him, gazing indifferently at the strange phenomenon of flesh and blood reversing. She didn’t chase after Bamk, nor did she take this opportunity to launch a continuous attack. She simply said calmly, “Do you think this scene in Jerusalem was exciting enough?”
