Never casually save a man. If you are dazzlingly beautiful, then even more so, lest you be coveted and unable to escape.
Nan Qianyue saved not just one, but three; saving them both physically...
Upon hearing Bai Shu's question, Qin Yi gave a chilling smile, his eyes suddenly turning fierce. "Besides him, I can't think of anyone else."
A county in Nanjing once suffered from a plague after taking in refugees. When all other options were exhausted, the Prince of Nanjing arrived in the county with a female doctor. With the prescription provided by the female doctor, the plague was finally eradicated.
However, this prescription was not passed down.
Bai Shu's expression was visibly anxious; he knew who Qin Yi was referring to—the Crown Prince of Nan Jing, Xiao Chen.
Bai Shu composed himself, glanced at Nan Qianyue who was full of doubt, and tentatively asked, "A-Yue, do you have a prescription for treating the plague?"
Nanqianyue nodded without hesitation, "I do, but I need to check their symptoms first."
"What does the Marshal think?" Bai Shu asked Qin Yi.
Qin Yi looked at Nan Qianyue with a complicated expression. "Go back to your tent first. Bai Shu will check the symptoms and record them for you to see."
"No need for that trouble. I'll go with Brother Bai. Don't worry, I won't catch the plague. It's Brother Bai who's in more danger than me."
Nan Qianyue knew that Qin Yi regarded her as the most precious person in his heart and would not let her take any risks. However, she did not know that she was not a delicate ancient person. She had received all her vaccinations and had a very good immune system, making her extremely difficult to get infected.
Qin Yi frowned. "There's no room for discussion on this."
He held Nan Qianyue's hand tightly and looked at Bai Shu, "Go to the South District as soon as possible, and remember to protect yourself."
After saying that, he grabbed Nanqianyue and left.
"Qin Yi!" Nan Qianyue grabbed his arm and used her feet to brake, forcing him to stop.
She frowned and said seriously, "The fastest and most effective way right now is for me to examine their symptoms and write a prescription as soon as possible to treat them."
“I know Brother Bai is a highly skilled doctor, but without prior experience in treating the plague, it will take time to develop a treatment plan. The soldiers can’t afford to wait. Besides, it would be terrible if the plague spread.”
"As the marshal, you should consider the overall situation."
"You treated him?" Qin Yi suddenly asked, his slightly cool tone revealing nothing of his thoughts.
But Bai Shu knew that he suspected Nan Qianyue still remembered what happened in Nanjing.
Nanqianyue glared and clicked her tongue, saying, "I haven't treated any of them, but my prescription was written by someone who treated the plague. You can trust me."
Bai Shu actually supported Nanqian Yue. He believed that Nanqian Yue would not be so easily infected with the plague and that she could solve the plague as soon as possible, after all, she had been in Nanjing before...
Qin Yi gazed at her face, and after a moment's thought, said, "Then I'll go with you."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" the moon murmured as they moved south.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the shocked and frightened looks in the eyes of the soldiers around her. It wasn't hard to imagine how cruel Qin Yi's words were to the soldiers. The marshal had put himself in danger for the sake of a woman, disregarding the overall situation.
This is tantamount to abandoning the entire military camp.
Nan Qianyue glared at Qin Yi with annoyance, "You are the marshal and you must not take risks. Alright, that's enough. Go to the council chamber. General Li and the others are definitely waiting for you."
After saying that, she let go of Qin Yi and walked up to Bai Shu. "Brother Bai, let's go."
Bai Shu nodded and said to Qin Yi, "Your Highness, rest assured, I will take good care of A-Yue."
"Wait a minute." Qin Yi approached Nan Qianyue again, and before Nan Qianyue could utter a curse, he took out a token from his pocket and handed it to her.
"This is the marshal's token. It will make things easier with it."
Nan Qianyue quickly took the token and tucked it into her belt. "Okay, okay, I'm off."
She had absolutely no idea what the token meant.
Bai Shu led Nan Qianyue away in the direction of the southern district. Only after the two figures had completely disappeared did Qin Yi reveal a hint of ruthlessness...
South District.
Because they are already in quarantine, it's difficult to get in, and impossible to get out, unless the plague is completely eradicated.
Nan Qianyue and Bai Shu were stopped outside the district, and General Huang, who was in charge of supervising the southern district, resolutely refused to let them in.
General Huang held a halberd, his mouth and nose covered with a black cloth, revealing only a pair of sharp, knife-like eyes.
He rebuked, "Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you've bewitched the marshal. Who knows what you're up to? Could it be that you're a spy from Fengdu trying to spread the plague and harm my entire Dongling army!"
Bai Shu's eyes flashed with anger. "General Huang, please watch your words. A-Yue was sent by the Marshal to help the military doctors fight the plague. She is not some kind of spy."
"Doctor Bai, you are a trusted confidant of the Marshal, how could you be bewitched by this enchantress?"
General Huang was convinced that the woman who moved south was a seductress who bewitched the marshal.
“She is the daughter of the Prime Minister of the South, not some enchantress. General Huang, if you don’t want to offend the Prime Minister of the South, you should show some mercy.” Bai Shu’s voice became much more forceful.
General Huang narrowed his eyes. He had heard rumors that this woman was the missing daughter of the Southern Chancellor, but how could the Southern Chancellor's daughter have ended up in Fengdu? This was too suspicious.
Nan Qianyue pursed her lips. If she hadn't wanted to find a chance to slip out of the Dongling military camp, she wouldn't have cared so much. At most, she would have written down the prescription and given it to Bai Shu.
In reality, she had no idea how to diagnose or write prescriptions. The few fixed prescriptions she had in mind were the result of her preparation for filming that movie.
If it were truly a plague remedy, it would definitely work. Her claim that she wanted to come and see for herself was just a pretext.
Nan Qianyue pulled out a token from his waist and showed it to General Huang. "Look carefully, this is the marshal's token. Your marshal sent me here. If you stop me, you are disobeying military orders."
General Huang's gaze fell suspiciously on the token, and after examining it closely, he was immediately struck by its authenticity.
The marshal is foolish!
Having observed General Huang's reaction during the southward migration, she put away her token and asked, "Can you please move aside?"
