Never casually save a man. If you are dazzlingly beautiful, then even more so, lest you be coveted and unable to escape.

Nan Qianyue saved not just one, but three; saving them both physically...

Chapter 130 Provoking the Eldest Princess

The princess's expression suddenly hardened, and a hint of murderous intent even flashed in her eyes, but she turned around and smiled nonchalantly, "Miss Nan, what makes you say that?"

Nanqianyue was originally from Mingqiu. She placed her palm on the table and leaned forward slightly. "Doesn't the Princess know that there is a group of assassins who want to take my life at Yeting in the eastern corner of Hengyang?"

She paused, then deliberately softened her voice, "Fortunately, Qin Yi's men killed them instead, leaving only one survivor. That survivor revealed the person behind it all—it was Madam Song."

“But Qin Yi said that the person who really wants to kill me is you, Princess, and Madam Song is just a scapegoat.”

"Besides this time, there was also when I first arrived in the capital. On my way to see the Fifth Princess, my horse went out of control and ran into the outskirts of the capital. There was also a group of bandits behind me who wanted to kill me. Fortunately, I was good at riding horses and accidentally stumbled into the Black Riders' camp, where I was rescued by Qin Yi."

"Qin Yi said that it was also the eldest princess's doing, and he even taught her a lesson. Tsk tsk tsk, I wonder what kind of lesson it was. It probably wasn't serious, otherwise why would the eldest princess dare to send someone to kill me?"

Nan Qianyue spoke in a light and casual tone, her eyes revealing a nonchalant air. She talked to herself, completely ignoring the increasingly gloomy expression on the princess's face.

"Alas, the Eldest Princess wants to kill me, and the Empress wants to kill me too. I almost lost my life on Hengyang Mountain last time. Fortunately, Qin Yi arrived in time, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see the Eldest Princess today." She seemed to be full of regret and lingering fear.

The eldest princess gritted her teeth and criticized her sternly, "Miss Nan is truly presumptuous. How dare a mere subject address the Imperial Uncle by his name!"

Nan Qianyue sighed helplessly, "The eldest princess is absolutely right, but your royal uncle is as stubborn as a mule and insists that I not call him Your Highness. There's nothing I can do about it."

bump--!

The princess slammed her hand on the table, causing the teacup to tremble and the tea to splash out in waves.

Her brows furrowed with anger. "You dare to insult the Imperial Uncle? Aren't you afraid I'll make sure you never leave here alive?"

Nan Qianyue rested her chin on her hand and looked at the Princess with a smile, "I was scared, so I made him wait outside."

She didn't know why the princess killed her before, and she didn't dare to retaliate because of her status. Now that she knows the reason, it will be easier to deal with her.

The fact that the princess had feelings for her royal uncle was something that couldn't be made public. She wouldn't admit it, nor dared to admit it, and was even afraid that others would find out.

This is the divinely granted entry point for retaliation.

The princess's face contorted in pain, and icy thorns shot from her eyes toward Nan Qianyue. She desperately suppressed the urge to tear Nan Qianyue apart. "...Did you come here today to show off?"

"What makes you say such a thing, Princess?" Nan Qianyue asked, her expression one of shock. "What am I showing off? Why would I show off in front of you, Princess?"

Before the princess could argue, Nan Qianyue stroked her chin and frowned as she analyzed, "When I said Qin Yi was waiting for me outside, the princess thought I was showing off. So, the 'showing off' the princess was referring to was showing off Qin Yi."

"Then another question arises: why does the Princess think I'm showing off Qin Yi? Qin Yi is waiting for me, what's there to show off? Is the Princess perhaps... envious?"

Nan Qianyue wore a mysterious smile as she tilted her head slightly. "Why is the Princess so envious? Could it be... that you like him? What kind of liking?"

The princess's eyes flashed with increasingly sharp daggers, her fingers beneath her long sleeves nearly tearing her palms apart. She gritted her teeth and stared intently at Nan Qianyue's bewitching face.

A spring breeze blew, carrying the fragrance of peonies. After a long silence in the pavilion, the princess relaxed and smiled.

"Miss Nan, you have such a silver tongue! If you're so good at talking, why don't you write in a sketchbook?"

Nanqianyue was quite impressed by his composure.

"The Princess's suggestion is good, I will consider it." Nan Qianyue's smile seemed very sincere.

"Now that the Imperial Uncle has arrived, how can we leave him standing outside the mansion? Someone, go and invite the Imperial Uncle into the mansion," the Princess said with a smile, her eyes filled with anticipation.

"I'm afraid we can't invite them." Nan Qianyue blinked innocently, then took the token from her waist with a helpless expression.

"He didn't want to come in, so he left a token on me. I don't know what's special about this token?"

She didn't really know what the token meant, but she was certain it was a good thing.

As expected, the eldest princess could no longer contain her anger upon seeing the token. She leaped to her feet, her eyes blazing with fury, "How could he possibly give you the royal token! Did you steal it?!"

Nan Qianyue was utterly astonished. "Your Highness is confused. With my thin arms and legs, how could I possibly snatch anything from him? Why is Your Highness so agitated? Is this token particularly powerful?"

"You don't know?" The eldest princess didn't believe it.

Nan Qianyue nodded, "I don't know, but he told me not to take it off."

Her words were like knives stabbing into the heart, causing the princess excruciating pain.

The eldest princess clenched her fingers tightly, desperately trying to suppress the burning jealousy within her. She forced a cold smile and slowly sat down, her gaze sweeping over the teacup in front of Nan Qianyue. "After saying so much, isn't Miss Nan thirsty? This is fragrant tea from the north, why don't you try some?"

Nan Qianyue slowly lowered her eyes, her eyebrows raised. "The Princess probably doesn't know that I have some medical knowledge. This tea smells fragrant, but there is an element in it that clashes with me, so I can't drink it."

The princess narrowed her eyes and sneered, "What if I insist that you drink it?"

As soon as she finished speaking, several young guards appeared outside the pavilion.

"Will you drink it yourself, or will I have someone help you?" The princess smiled, her eyes filled with malice.

Nan Qianyue remained calm and composed, still exuding an air of ease. She looked at the Princess and suddenly asked, "Does the Princess wish to see the person who killed those assassins?"
