Never casually save a man. If you are dazzlingly beautiful, then even more so, lest you be coveted and unable to escape.
Nan Qianyue saved not just one, but three; saving them both physically...
The Second Prince, looking radiant, walked towards Nanqianyue.
Now the poet is completely his, let's see who dares to covet his imperial concubine.
The Southern Prime Minister glanced at the Second Prince with his sharp eyes, then suddenly waved to Nan Qianyue, "Qianyue, quickly take your mother back to the carriage, it's windy here."
After a brief relocation south, Yue Miao, along with her younger siblings, escorted the Prime Minister's wife away.
As she passed Xiao Chen, she gave him a smile that said, "I'm fine, and I hope you are too."
The second prince's outstretched hand froze in mid-air, and he could only watch helplessly as the poet departed.
He looked displeased; was it because of the strong wind? Perhaps they were deliberately avoiding him.
Why is she avoiding him? She's probably shy. It's normal for a woman to be shy when she sees her groom before she gets married.
Xiao Chen's cold, sharp gaze, filled with murderous intent, fell on the Second Prince. The old emperor of Dongling was truly blind; how dare he provoke Nan Nan with such a scoundrel?
.
On the wide lakeside path, just as Nanqianyue was about to board her carriage, the sound of horses' hooves suddenly came from behind, along with a familiar call.
"Move!"
Looking back over the southward migration month, it was Xie Yanzhou.
She gestured for her younger siblings to go up and keep the Prime Minister's wife company first, saying, "I'll be right back after I say a few words."
Xie Yanzhou dismounted from his horse, his steps hurried.
"Qianqian, I heard everything."
As Nan Qianyue walked to the lakeside, she looked at the lake view and smiled faintly, "It's just a marriage decree, and no wedding date has been set. The imperial decree cannot be disobeyed, but it can be invalidated."
Xie Yanzhou walked to her side and felt that she was forcing a smile. "Qianqian, if you are willing, I can take you away. We can continue to roam the world and stay away from all this trouble."
Nan Qianyue raised an eyebrow. "If you leave, what will happen to your sister? Will you leave her alone in that den of wolves again?"
Xie Yanzhou said seriously, "Bring her along too."
Nanqianyue chuckled, "What about your grandmother? Without you two siblings around, aren't you afraid that Huang will harm her?"
Xie Yanzhou's expression was firm. "Bring them along too."
Nanqianyue chuckled, "Are you sure she can handle the long journey?"
Xie Yanzhou thought about it carefully, "I can send my grandmother to a martial arts sect to hide her first, and then we can run away together."
Nan Qianyue shook her head, her smile gradually fading. She gazed at the shimmering lake and said softly, "Thank you, Xie Yanzhou, but I don't have your courage. If I run away, all two hundred people in the Prime Minister's residence will be implicated. They have all treated me very well, and I won't harm them."
She paused briefly, then smiled brightly again, "There are always more solutions than problems, and I will never be bound by a royal decree."
Xie Yanzhou gazed at her charming profile. Sunlight bathed her alabaster skin, gilding it with a hazy golden veil. Coupled with her radiant smile, she was even more beautiful than a blooming flower in spring, dazzling and captivating.
.
In the Prime Minister's residence, the entire family sat around a table, their faces not looking too good.
Nan Xiangxiang made a major decision and looked at Nan Qianyue, saying word by word, "Qianyue, your father knows you don't like the Second Prince. Don't worry, your father will do everything he can to ruin this marriage. If he fails in the end, then your father will resign from his official post and take you back to our hometown of Ganyang."
The Prime Minister's wife nodded. "That's the only way. If it doesn't work, we'll stay away from the court from now on."
Nan Kezhi agreed, "Yes, we must not let our eldest sister suffer. If we go back to Ganyang, I can take charge of cooking."
Nan Yichu raised her hand, "Tomorrow I'll ask the housekeeper to teach me how to grow vegetables, and Lin Fei to teach me how to hunt. After we get back to Ganyang, I'll take care of all the heavy and tiring work!"
The Prime Minister gave him a disgruntled look. “I am resigning from my post. I am not going bankrupt. Even if I lose the position of Prime Minister, my family’s assets will still allow you to live comfortably, and you will still have all the maids and servants you need.”
"Farming and hunting? With your physique, you probably couldn't even carry two buckets of water."
Nan Yichu weakly lowered her hand and muttered, "Labor is glorious, so there's nothing wrong with me learning a little."
Nan Xiang's eyes sharpened. "Hmm?"
Nan Yi lowered his head when he first arrived.
As Nan Qianyue listened, her eyes welled up with tears. In a daze, she felt as if she belonged here, and that they were her family.
.
As night fell, Nanqianyue tossed and turned, unable to sleep, looking troubled.
The night breeze rustled through the peach trees in the courtyard, carrying a delicate fragrance that drifted through the half-open window into the house, and incidentally extinguished the only night lamp.
Startled, Yue jumped up from her seat. "Who?"
"It's me."
A deep voice came from behind the screen, and then a black figure walked over.
Nanqianyue frowned slightly. "It's so late. What are your intentions in breaking into a woman's room?"
A large, bony hand lifted the bed curtains, and he sat down on the edge of the bed quite naturally.
Nan Qianyue glared at her, "Get up! Who told you to use your coat as my bed!"
Qin Yi raised an eyebrow and touched his belt. "Should I take it off?"
Nanqianyue kicked him, but he didn't budge. "What are you taking off? Get up!"
Qin Yi's lips curled slightly as she changed the subject, "Do you want to marry Qin Weize?"
Nanqianyue rolled her eyes dramatically. "Nonsense."
Qin Yi glanced quickly at her thin nightgown, then quietly pulled the blanket over her. "Don't worry, he can't marry you. I'll handle this."
Nanqianyue was slightly taken aback. "You have a solution? What solution?" A glint of starlight appeared in her eyes.
Qin Yi smiled enigmatically, "Give me a kiss, and I'll tell you."
The moon, which had been moving south, turned its head away, saying, "Say it or don't."
Qin Yi moved forward a little and pressed her back down on the bed. "Don't think too much. Get some rest. I'll come pick you up for the academy tomorrow."
