When the powerful Ming Zhuo woke up, she found herself an abandoned orphan about to be publicly disowned by a wealthy family on a show. Someone told her that her biological mother was a delicate mo...
As darkness fell, Gu Xu looked up thoughtfully at the large door in front of him.
The middle-aged man beside him smiled obsequiously, "Mr. Gu, look, there's really no one here! There aren't even any lights on inside; they must have left a long time ago!"
Gu Xu glanced at his phone. He had sent a message half an hour ago, but no one had replied, and the phone call he made a dozen minutes ago could not be connected.
There was indeed no light source visible through the courtyard gate.
"Could it be that he went to exorcise evil spirits with the association?" the middle-aged man guessed. "Today, Young Master Jiang invited Elder Jiang's Golden Coin Sword. It would be safer to stay by his side."
No sooner had he finished speaking than his phone chimed with an urgent message.
[Something terrible has happened! Young Master Jiang has been captured by that evil spirit!]
The middle-aged man's heart skipped a beat, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead instantly.
He glanced at the pitch-black night and suddenly felt unsafe everywhere.
"Mr. Gu, why don't you go home and wait? Things didn't go smoothly tonight, and there's a risk of trouble. It would be better if you went home early."
The middle-aged man secretly groaned. The key had been taken away by someone close to Jiang Yuncheng, and he didn't want to call that person over. What if they brought the evil spirit with them?
Gu Xu seemed to be convinced by him. He turned around and took a dozen steps, then suddenly turned back, took a running start, and leaped up the courtyard wall.
"Gu Sheng!"
"President Gu!"
Gu Xu waved to the people below, "I'll go in and take a look."
As he spoke, he nimbly leaped down the courtyard wall.
He always felt that Mingzhuo was still inside and hadn't come out yet.
The assistant who came along was stunned. The boss looked so refined and gentle. Who would have thought that he would one day climb over someone else's wall?
The assistant turned to look at the middle-aged man beside him, who wiped his sweat. "I'll contact someone to come and open the door right away!"
Gu Xu was already inside; what else could he do? He had no choice but to call his contacts.
The assistant peered inside through the door, but unfortunately, the view was very limited.
He saw Gu Xu's figure walk into the darkness, but in that instant, a blinding light shone so brightly that he couldn't open his eyes, and then a strong wind suddenly swept up from the ground!
"President Gu!"
——
When that force attacked, Mingzhuo knew that the other party was determined to take her life.
The people inside the house came out, looking at the scene before them with horror.
"Boss!" He Wangyao was stunned.
"Ruan Mingzhuo!" Li Wenhe's expression changed drastically, and he stopped calling him "boss."
Mingzhuo sighed inwardly. His friends were still too inexperienced, but the talisman did look quite frightening.
The summoning bell and the soul-gathering bottle collided, tearing a hole in the ground, revealing endless darkness and surging, intense resentment.
From the resentment emerged distorted and terrifying human faces, their eyes fixed on those present with venomous hatred.
Being stared at like that, everyone felt as if something was weighing on their hearts—heavy, irritable, and oppressive, making it almost impossible to breathe.
Hou Zhihui plopped down on the ground, almost fainting. "Could this be the Netherworld?"
No one answered the question. Mingzhuo drew a few talismans in the void and threw them over, forming a transparent barrier that sealed the entrance to the cave.
The people present felt a little better, especially He Wangyao, who was almost unable to hold on because of the covetous gazes.
He clutched his pounding heart, not daring to look in that direction; he was certain that it was not the human world.
That is the most terrifying and evil underground place in the world. Once those evil spirits are released... the consequences will be unimaginable.
Suddenly, countless black chains formed from yin energy emerged from the ground and bound Mingzhuo's body.
Mingzhuo glanced at the person casting the spell, "You're willing to risk your life to kill me?"
Shen Ruodi was bleeding from all seven orifices, but he was still smiling, his smile as gentle as that of a noble young master from a prestigious family.
"This is the first time I've used a forbidden technique from our clan. You should feel honored," he said with a smile. "You can only blame the heavens for being jealous of talent."
Mingzhuo: "Yes, it's such a pity, you're going to die again."
Shen Ruodi thought she was just being stubborn. So what if the three divine swords of Taoism were stronger than this magic array?
The evil spirits of the Nine Nether Hells are endless and inexhaustible. A mere mortal body can only be torn apart and devoured by these evil spirits until not even a trace remains.
He raised his hand and unleashed a burst of yin energy that knocked Li Wenhe to the ground. Even though he was covered in blood and filled with resentment, he still walked with an air of leisure and elegance.
"If you have any last words, say them quickly before the evil spirit drags you in."
Mingzhuo: "I'm different from you. I've never been interested in listening to evil spirits cry about their past. I usually just kill them directly."
Shen Ruodi frowned. He had a strange feeling that the other person's words and actions seemed familiar.
But without thinking too much, he suddenly turned his head and "looked" in a certain direction.
“Someone’s here.” He smirked. “Too bad, just an ordinary person.”
He Wangyao looked in the direction of the sound and immediately panicked, "Axu, get out of the way!"
Gu Xu glanced at the scene before him, then suddenly squatted down. Only then did He Wangyao notice that he had picked up a copper coin sword.
That was Elder Jiang's Golden Coin Sword, which Shen Ruodi snatched away, and then it fell off during the fight.
Even the most powerful magical artifact is nothing but a pile of scrap metal if it's in the wrong hands, especially since this sword has a restriction on it.
Shen Ruodi seemed to only then remember the sword, raising his hand to direct the thick, black chain, "Bring the Money Sword back to me."
"Ah Xu, quickly throw away the money sword!" He Wangyao was so anxious that her voice almost split open.
