Having served the Empire for half of his life, Ela was decisively sold out. He intended to flee to another country but was nearly beaten to death during his escape before being saved by a dragon-gi...
"I was so stupid, so very stupid..."
The elven girl, who had been saying this, raised her tearful face and said, "I only heard you say that the world is going to be destroyed and all our efforts will be in vain; I didn't know it would start with the Silvermoon Tree Garden."
"I got up early in the morning to pick fruit, and then took my friends out of the Silvermoon Tree Garden. We ate fruit and sang songs along the way, when suddenly we were attacked by the World Tree... First, there was a huge earthquake, and then we were slapped to death."
"..."
"Let me speak..."
A slightly older elven woman took over from the elven girl. Looking at Yinla, who was asking about the situation, she said, "I was still in the [Royal Tree] when I felt the earthquake and looked out the window."
The elven lady, while curiously observing this novel world and streets, continued, "At first, I saw the World Tree begin to grow upwards, and then I realized... that wasn't growth, but rather the World Tree being pulled upwards."
"The World Tree pulled out its roots, which twisted together to become countless 'feet' that could be used for walking, and its branches also turned into huge arms with seven or eight of them. Incredibly huge eyes grew on its bark... and then it indiscriminately destroyed everything around it."
The scene depicted by the elven lady easily evokes the image of a giant tree-man who smashes everything in its path... but once you consider the size of the World Tree, it becomes easy to recognize.
That is something much larger than the word "big".
Just imagine it: when Yinla walks on a small branch of the World Tree, it feels like she is walking on a flat continent that stretches as far as the eye can see.
In other words...
The World Tree's height is immeasurable, reaching the heavens, a height that even words cannot describe. In other words, it cannot be imagined using monsters like Goliath or King.
It's not something that's five hundred or eight hundred feet high.
The World Tree's height, roughly calculated, is at least as tall as the Empire, or even greater... In other words, it's several thousand meters high, almost breaking through the atmosphere.
It has even broken through the atmosphere.
"That is indeed a calamity capable of destroying the world... or perhaps the more accurate term would be 'disaster'?"
As Yinla spoke, he watched the AI machines that had already received instructions and were leading the arriving souls to find suitable homes, and continued to ask, "And then? What happened next?"
In response to Yinla's question, the elven elder sister continued, "Then, Cassiopeia arranged for us to form the first line of defense against the [World Tree Beast]... and then we were directly killed."
The elven lady, speaking as if she didn't care at all about her own death, was discussing her own death... After all, the fact that she would continue to live in Yinla's soul after death was something that didn't really feel real to her.
"Even if the arrow was made with all the mana, it did not harm the World Tree Beast. No amount of magic could help... These are all inherent characteristics of the World Tree."
The elven older sister looked quite helpless, and behind her and the elven girl, many more elves kept arriving... it looked as if they had been "refreshed" on the street.
And what she said was true. Fire couldn't be lit, mana couldn't be blown up, and swords were useless. These were all characteristics of the World Tree itself, and before today... no one thought it was a bad thing.
After all, before today, no one would have imagined that... one day, the World Tree would uproot itself and, like De Gang, start beating people up!
Just as Yinla was thinking this...
*Plop!*
Accompanied by a unique sound effect, a wisp of soul coalesced under everyone's gaze, and then a face familiar to everyone appeared before Yinla and the other elves.
"Ha! Is this inside Yila's body? Wow, this world is so bright."
As Cassie called out, she looked around and immediately spotted Inra, who looked astonished. Her eyes lit up as she came over to greet her, "Inra, you're here!"
To be honest, Illa didn't think Casiopeia would die so quickly.
Do you know what's happening outside?
As Cassiopeia spoke, looking at the nodding Inra, she waved to her father and sister, who had also come back to life, then clapped her hands cheerfully and said to Inra, "Bang! Silvermoon Tree Garden, dead!"
Despite the tragic situation, for some reason, Cassiopeia was cheerful, and many of the other elves didn't seem sad either, but were laughing and chatting with each other.
The free spirits turned the streets into a chaotic vegetable market.
"Okay, tell me the details later. I'll arrange your accommodations first."
As Yinla spoke to Cassiopeia, he patted an AI android on the shoulder and said, "Hello, please help me collect the characteristics of individuals from these races, and then store them in the race database according to the similarity of the characteristics, naming them [Elves]."
As she spoke, Yinla looked at the AI whose eyes were flashing with data streams. After the AI responded with "Permissions confirmed - Command completed," she continued, "Change the location of all the [Sprites] to the uninhabited [Hanging Gardens]..."
The so-called "Hanging Gardens" are aerial cities, which are very suitable places for a race to live together... After all, elves are not used to eating meat, so like some alien races with unique customs, it is better for them to live in their own little plot of land.
