After Binding the God of Wealth System, I Achieved Financial Freedom

Shi Jing transmigrated into a wealthy young lady in another world after saving someone, and then bound herself to the God of Wealth System.

She originally thought she could continue to live a...

Chapter 194 Follow Me

Shi Jing immediately recognized Fang Ning as the person the two were talking about. To avoid sounding like he was stuttering, he now tried to speak as slowly as possible.

"Is it him? Is he here?"

"I think he's here," the boy said, running his fingers through his hair. "He should be inside; I haven't seen him come out today."

"Which room is he staying in?" Shi Jing asked anxiously.

"The middle one," the boy pointed to the location.

"Thanks."

Shi Jing walked inside, through the narrow passage, and came to a room.

She knocked on the door, but no one answered. After waiting a while, she tried to open it, and to her surprise, the door was unlocked and she turned the knob easily.

The curtains in the room were drawn, making it dark even during the day.

In the darkness, she could vaguely see a dark figure huddled in the corner.

She fumbled on the wall for a moment before finding the light switch.

After turning on the light, a thin figure was indeed found in the corner.

Fang Ning curled up in a ball, her head buried in her arms, and it was unclear whether she was asleep.

Shi Jing walked over quietly and touched his head. With her touch, Fang Ning's body trembled, and he groggily raised his head. He had obviously cried himself to sleep, and traces of crying still remained on his face.

"Time Mirror?" Fang Ning's voice was a little hoarse, and his complexion was not good either.

Shi Jing reached out and touched his cheek; despite it being the middle of summer, his skin felt somewhat cool.

No matter how smart he is, he's only seventeen years old, still a child. He's probably terrified to suddenly encounter such trouble.

"Pack your things and come with me."

"I...I didn't..." Fang Ning stammered, his voice trembling with tears. He rubbed his nose, unable to finish his sentence.

"I've heard about what happened to you, and I believe you. Don't think about those things now; you need to rest. We'll deal with the rest later."

Fang Ning wasn't the type to refuse people; he usually did what he was told. Today was no different. He hesitated for a moment, but still got up.

His legs were numb from squatting on the ground for so long that he stumbled when he stood up. Shi Jing reacted quickly and caught him before he fell.

He didn't have much stuff; he simply pulled out a slightly damaged bag from the wardrobe and started packing his clothes into it, piece by piece.

Shi Jing watched, his eyes darkening slightly. Although Shi Jing regarded Fang Ning as a younger brother from the bottom of his heart, the two were not related by blood.

They had both been very busy these past two years, and apart from regular contact, Shi Jing didn't know much about him. She had never known that Fang Ning lived such a simple life.

While tidying up her clothes, Fang Ning glanced around the space.

This room was probably partitioned off from the original living room; it's quite small. However, Fang Ning has very few belongings, making the room seem rather empty.

In the narrow space, there is a small bed about one meter long, a small desk at the foot of the bed near the balcony, and a cloth wardrobe on the inside.

Fang Ning's phone was on the table. Shi Jing walked over and picked it up; it was a very old-fashioned phone. He turned it on, and there were many missed calls and text messages on the screen. The phone's battery was almost dead, and the volume had long been turned off.

It seems that many people called him that day, which is why he changed his phone and left it aside.

"Time Mirror, I'm... I'm all better," Fang Ning whispered.

Since he started speaking slowly, Shi Jing has rarely heard Fang Ning speak so stammeringly.

Shi Jing took the bag from Fang Ning and said firmly, "Let's go."

After leaving the narrow alley, the two walked for a while before reaching the main road.

Fang Ningdu followed quietly behind her the whole way. Shi Jing found his appearance both amusing and heartbreaking.

"Let's go, let's go to my place first."

After getting into the car, Shi Jing contacted Lin Yu again. Lin Yu had already arranged bodyguards, a total of eight bodyguards, two women and six men, plus a technician.

They're already on their way to Beijing.

"Okay. The lady will stay here with me, and I'll book rooms for the gentleman."

After hanging up the phone, seeing Fang Ning looking dejected in the passenger seat, Shi Jing handed him the phone directly.

"I need to drive. Could you please find the phone number of a hotel outside the neighborhood and book six rooms for me?"

"good."

Fang Ning obediently took the phone and dutifully searched for hotels outside Shi Jing's residential area, then made a call to discuss booking a room.

Although his voice was still stammering, his condition improved noticeably after he had something to do.

Back home, the housekeeper had already prepared several rooms according to her request. Shi Jing chose one for Fang Ning and told him to go wash up and eat first. After eating, he should get a good night's sleep, and they would discuss everything else after he woke up.

"Time Mirror, thank you."

"Don't be so polite with me, just go."

Shi Jing herself was exhausted. She had been driving almost all day, and she was both tired and hungry.

After a quick wash, she went down to the dining room, where the housekeeper had already placed the prepared food on the table. After Fang Ning came downstairs, Shi Jing called him over quickly.

"Eat up, I'm starving." After urging her, Shi Jing didn't stand on ceremony and started eating first. As she ate heartily, Fang Ning gradually relaxed and also started eating.

After the meal, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.

Shi Jing took a short rest, and about three hours later, the phone rang. The people Lin Yu had arranged had arrived and were just leaving the terminal.

"Just take a taxi here. There's no rush, I'll arrange it. How many do you need? Are there any requirements for the type of vehicle?"

When the other party requested a car, Shi Jing thought about it and decided that buying one directly would be more appropriate. Besides, her bodyguards would definitely need a car once they started working.

With that in mind, she began to consider where to buy a car.

At a recent cocktail party, Shi Jing met some people through Zhao Xunkun. Among them was a car dealership manager who was quite interesting, and Shi Jing found him quite appealing.

After confirming the brand and model, Shi Jing called him directly.

"Manager Liu, this is Shi Jing."

"Miss Shi, hello, it's been a long time." This person was thoughtful; as soon as Shi Jing gave her name, the other person remembered who she was.

"Hello, I need three SUVs. Do you have any in stock?" Shi Jing asked, mentioning the brand and models requested.

"Yes, we have them in stock and can send them to you anytime." Manager Liu was familiar with the luxury cars in the dealership and quickly gave a definite answer.

"I need it urgently and I'd like your help with putting on and taking off the license plates. How long will that take?"

Manager Liu checked the time and said, "It's getting late. It can be done as early as tomorrow noon or at the latest before the end of tomorrow night."

"Okay, thank you for your help. Once it's done, please send it directly to the address I sent you."

Shi Jing knew that this matter was not difficult to handle, but it would definitely require a lot of favors and expenses. She didn't hesitate and transferred the money directly after hanging up the phone.
