Chapter 259 As long as he doesn't die

She glanced out the window and was slightly relieved to see that it was still dark outside; thankfully, the time for the marriage alliance hadn't been delayed.

She quietly walked to the door, pulled it open, and found it locked. She then turned and went to the window, only to find it locked as well. She went back to the window, frowning in annoyance.

"Has the princess woken up?" An aged female voice came from outside, perhaps having heard her movements.

"Who are you? How dare you kidnap me knowing my identity? You have some nerve!" Nangong Luoying stood up and shouted at the door.

The woman was completely unaffected by her and calmly replied, "Princess, save your energy. Since I know you are a princess, I have a foolproof plan."

Nangong Luoying pursed her lips, pondered for a moment, and then walked to the door: "So you kidnapped me to stop me from going on a marriage alliance? Are you from the Northern Underworld?"

The woman simply ignored her at this point.

Nangong Luoying thought she had left. She peeked through the crack in the door but couldn't see anything. She pouted and sat on the bed. Just as she sat down, the woman's voice came in again: "If the princess is hungry, there are some snacks and water on the table. If you want to run away, this servant advises the princess to save her energy."

After she finished speaking, she remained silent no matter what Nangong Luoying said next.

Nangong Luoying looked at the snacks on the table, all of which were her favorites. She didn't want to eat them, but she was so hungry that she couldn't stand it anymore, and she wouldn't have the strength to run away if she didn't eat them.

She managed to stuff a few pieces in, but couldn't eat anymore.

She put down the snacks in her hand and started circling around the room, trying to find a way out.

"Master." The woman's voice came from outside again.

This time, her tone was much more respectful than when she spoke to Nangong Luoying.

"Hmm." The man nodded slightly. "How is she?"

The man's voice was very deep, but Nangong Luoying felt as if she had heard it somewhere before.

To be honest, I can't quite remember where I've heard of her before.

Nangong Luoying frowned and leaned closer to the door, listening carefully to the sounds outside.

"She's awake. She tried to get information from this old servant, but I ignored her. She should have had some snacks by now," the woman's voice came again.

"Well, as long as he doesn't die." The man's voice came through again.

Nangong Luoying gritted her teeth, thinking, "As long as I don't die, it's fine!"

It's best not to let her know who this person is, otherwise she'll definitely make him pay once she gets out!

"Don't worry, young master, I'm keeping an eye on things. Once tomorrow is over, it will be too late." The woman's voice was followed by heavy footsteps.

The man must have left.

Nangong Luoying leaned against the door and whispered to the outside, "Grandma, could you tell me what time it is?"

The woman still ignored her.

Nangong Luoying pouted in boredom. She sat down by the door, trying to listen to the sounds outside and make out something.

What did that woman mean when she said that it would be too late once tomorrow is over?

Will the marriage alliance be disrupted after tomorrow?

Could they really be from Beiming? But that shouldn't be the case. If Beiming captured her, they wouldn't be so cruel as to deny her even the chance to see her. And if they really were from Beiming, how could she, as a prisoner, receive such good treatment?

By the moonlight, Nangong Luoying surveyed the room. It was clearly a master bedroom; the room was large, and the bed was very soft…
