Chapter 13 Can I touch your tail? (1/2)

"Okay, okay... This is a misunderstanding. As long as you let me go, I will tell you the location of a large treasure." After Leonard woke up, he kept trying to bribe Reiner.

"Where? Tell me the location first."

"You have to let me go first. Otherwise, how can I be sure that you won't..."

Reiner said to Martina, "Our friend talks a lot. Help him get some sleep."

With a muffled sound, Leonard fainted again.

Reiner took it to the blacksmith shop in the city.

Although it was just evening, they had already closed their shop and were preparing to rest.

Reiner knocked hard on the door.

After a long time, the old blacksmith finally opened the door.

He shone the candlestick on Reiner's face, looking a little impatient. "It's you? What's wrong?"

"I caught him alive for you, Reynard."

The old blacksmith's body shook violently.

He pulled Leonard's hair, looked at him closely with a candlestick, and then punched him, swearing at him.

He hurried back to the blacksmith shop, lit all the candles in the shop, and then tied Leonard to a wooden chair.

"Shouldn't we also fulfill the promise of the sword?"

"Dang, I'm a man of integrity. Please wait for me for a moment. I'm busy."

Reiner watched him take out a large pile of tools.

There are sickles and there are fire tongs.

Leonard will hardly survive this night.

After waiting for a while, the old blacksmith finally dragged the wooden box out of the warehouse: "Here is what you want."

Reiner opened it and took a look. Seeing that everything was fine, he asked Martina to take the sword and left.

What happened next had nothing to do with him.

When passing by the brightly lit pub, Reiner smelled the bacon and suddenly remembered that he had to buy some meat for Nora to supplement her nutrition.

Reiner went in and bought a processed chicken, ready to go back and reward Nora.

If he had not spent all his money on custom-making three sets of leather armor, he would definitely have bought a pound or two of smoked pork for Nora to eat with it.

By the time we got back to the village, it was completely dark.

The two animal-eared girls were covered in blood, and Reiner asked them to take a shower first before they could eat.

He was roasting a chicken in front of the fireplace.

While he was roasting, Nora suddenly sat down next to him, her hair still wet.

She stared at the roasted chicken tumbling in the fire, her saliva dripping from the corners of her mouth.

(It smells so good…I haven’t eaten meat in a long time.)

Reiner reached out and pinched her cheek: "Wipe your saliva, this is specially bought for you, you can eat it soon."

"Thank you, Master." Her eyes were still fixed on the roast chicken.

Martina also finished her shower.

She grabbed the basin and poured the dirty water out the door, then came over to take a look: "Meat?"

"Yes, do you eat meat?"

Martina shook her head. "I prefer grains and vegetables."

It seems that the only way to reward her now is to eat bread.

"Let me see the wound on your leg."

Martina stretched out her legs.

Her wound was almost healed, but the scab had not yet fallen off.

"Then there's nothing for you. Go to the kitchen and get two pieces of brown bread. There's jam in the cupboard. Spread it on yourself."

"Okay." Martina ran away happily, leaving Nora and Reiner sitting by the fire and roasting something.

After a while, the chicken was roasted.

Reiner took it out of the fireplace and placed it on the table.

Although Nora was not greedy, she never tried to grab it. She just sat aside and watched quietly.
