After Nora and I had a heart-to-heart talk, it was already afternoon.
Instead of lying in bed with her, Reiner helped Junice set up the delivery room.
Daisy said she was leaving, so we should start preparing for the new employee.
Junice sat aside, gently stroking her bulging belly and whispering, "Oh, I'm going to be a mother in the blink of an eye..."
Reiner smoothed the sheets and covered them with a thick quilt, then turned back to look at her: "Are you a little excited?"
Junice nodded, looked down at her bulging belly, and poked it with her finger: "Actually, I'm a little scared."
Reiner walked over to her and gently took her hand: "I will stay with you."
After setting up the delivery room, Reiner continued to massage Junice's lower abdomen.
Seeing that it was getting late, he said softly, "Let's go back to the room and rest. You must go to bed early recently."
Junice nodded obediently and followed Reiner obediently.
After returning to the room, the two found Nora sitting on the edge of the bed.
She said gently, “Let me rest with you at night. If Junice feels uncomfortable, it will be more convenient to have my help.
And unlike Martina, I don't snore or move around, so I won't disturb Junice's sleep."
"Thank you, Nora."
Reiner kissed her on the forehead and then joined her in bed.
The three of them huddled together tightly.
At night, Reiner was woken up from his sleep.
Junice in his arms was curled up in a ball, groaning in pain.
Reiner, who was originally dazed, suddenly woke up and asked hurriedly, "Are you going to pee?"
Junice nodded vigorously.
Although the mother was ready, Reiner still felt a little overwhelmed.
Nora beside her had also woken up. She jumped out of bed, found a blanket, and wiped the sweat off her forehead.
Then the two did as they had agreed during the day. Reiner carried Junice into the delivery room, while Nora ran downstairs to call Daisy.
Lying down on the delivery bed, Junice grabbed Reiner with red eyes, her hair on her forehead was stuck with sweat, her breathing became more rapid, and her chest and abdomen kept rising and falling.
"Reiner... I'm afraid, you're not allowed to move..."
"Hey, I'm not sick anywhere." Reiner held her hand tightly and stayed by her side. With his other hand, he took out three bottles of holy water from the bedside table and placed them beside the bed in case of emergency.
After making some preparations, she saw that Daisy had not come up yet, so she looked back at the door anxiously.
As soon as I turned around, I saw Daisy, followed by Martina Lailis and the elf.
The three of them had messy hair, obviously they had just woken up.
Martina walked over and encouraged, "Junis, be strong! Act like a female!"
The elf stood aside holding the staff, sweating as he saw Junice in pain.
Lailisi grabbed the two girls by their clothes and dragged them out: "Don't disturb them, let's go out."
She closed the door when she left.
Junice's labor lasted from late at night until noon the next day.
Until a baby cried, Reiner finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Junice was lying on the delivery bed, already exhausted, with her eyes closed to rest.
Reiner was wiping the sweat off her face: "Thank you for your hard work."
