After Buying a Cat Slave, I Become Obsessed with Eavesdropping on Her Thoughts

In a world where tomorrow's bread is never certain and demi-humans are sold like livestock, Reiner makes a daring purchase: a cat-type demi-human whose talent outshines her tragic circumstances. A...

Chapter 402: Luminilla, the Caring One (1/2)

Reiner returned home, and as soon as he stepped into the door, he was overwhelmed by fatigue.

He had been running around the world these past two days, either looking for medicinal herbs or investigating the situation in the Kingdom of Rossno, without even closing his eyes.

Reiner was a little envious of Lalith's endless energy before she became pregnant.

Now that he is alone at home, he just wants to take a short rest.

Reiner laid down on the sofa, fell to the side, and slowly closed his eyes.

When he woke up again, Reiner found himself lying in his room. It was completely dark outside the window and the room was eerily quiet.

Perhaps because he slept too deeply, Reiner had a slight migraine.

He rubbed his forehead and slowly sat up.

"Are you awake?"

Reiner was startled. He used fire magic to look around but did not notice Luminilla talking.

Until she slowly appeared in the firelight.

"You were standing at the door like a ghost. Don't be invisible at home next time." Reiner shook his head helplessly. He seemed to have changed his clothes. "You took me upstairs?"

"Well, Nora and Laelis knew you were going home and said you couldn't be left without someone to take care of you, so they sent me back first." Luminila said expressionlessly. She slowly walked towards Reiner, "Reiner, are you hungry? Let me bake you some bread."

"No, I'll bake the bread myself." Reiner took out a piece of white bread from the storage space, heated it with fire magic, and ate it in small bites.

Looking at Luminila standing across from him, Reiner suddenly said, "Come to think of it, you didn't do anything inappropriate while I was sleeping, did you?"

As soon as these words were spoken, Luminila's skin color changed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

She lowered her head, holding the hem of her skirt tightly with both hands: "I... I just helped you change into soft clothes, and then wiped your body, I didn't do anything else."

Reiner slept like a dead pig. Although he didn't remember anything, I still knew the general process by eavesdropping on his thoughts.

Luminilla is going too far. This isn't the way to take advantage of someone.

"You must be lying again," Reiner said teasingly, narrowing his eyes. "You swore to me before that you didn't like being lied to, so you wouldn't lie. Damn you, Luminira! Women's mouths are truly deceitful."

Luminila did not refute. She lowered her head as if she wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

Reiner shook his head and decided to let him go and not pursue the matter any further.

At this moment, Luminila blushed and began to confess: "I sniffed your clothes... and touched places I shouldn't have touched. I'm sorry..."

She wanted to face Reiner normally, but as soon as their eyes met, she would subconsciously look away.

Reiner waved his hand and continued chewing his bread: "It's okay, it's okay. I'm not angry at all."

Luminilla looked at Reiner and suddenly fell into deep thought.

Then she carefully sat down next to Reiner and said straight to the point: "I suddenly want to smell you."

"Just smell it." Reiner shrugged disapprovingly.

Luminila didn't hesitate and came up to sniff it madly.

To be honest, Reiner felt this was quite strange.

Although Nora and the others also liked to smell him, they usually got down to business after just two sniffs.

Luminilla is completely different from them.

䀴She just smells, and does nothing else, which is a bit bland.

Reiner lowered his voice and whispered in her ear, "Do you want to kiss?"
