On the eve of their departure, Bai Sirui and Ruan Shaoke bought a lot of local specialties from Yuncheng to bring back to their families.

On the day of their departure, Gu Jinghe drove the four of them to the station. When they boarded the train, the three men carried their luggage in one hand and protected Ruan Ruan with the other as they walked towards their carriage.

As soon as he put the things away, Bai Sirui started taking care of Ruan Shaoke again, which made Ruan Ruan unable to resist teasing him.

"Commander Bai, you really don't treat us like outsiders anymore, do you? You're not pretending at all?"

"Why should I pretend in front of you? What could possibly escape your notice?" Bai Sirui said this without a hint of guilt, but he had more than once suspected that Ruan Ruan had planted a spy on him. How could she know what he did to Ruan Shaoke?

“Of course, my eyes are my ruler,” Ruan Ruan said, holding up two fingers and pointing back and forth between her own eyes and his, indicating that she would keep her eyes on him. You'd better be nice to my second brother.

"Alright, you're all grown up, stop being so childish," Ruan Shaoke casually tugged at the person next to him.

Bai Sirui followed his momentum and pounced on him, not forgetting to provoke Ruan Ruan, who was watching all this.

Enraged, Ruan Ruan yelled at him twice, then pointed at him and said, "You, you scoundrel, how dare you act like a hooligan to my brother!" She shouted "hooligan," but her expression clearly showed she was utterly shocked.

Bai Sirui lived up to expectations and kissed Ruan Shaoke on the lips. "(,,′?ω?)ノ"(′っω?｀。)"

"You, you're really making me angry, Second Brother! He's already like this, you should kiss him back. We can't let this go unpunished."

Along the way, with Bai Sirui and Ruan Ruan bickering and Ruan Shaoke and Huo Haocheng taking sides, the journey wasn't so boring.

After getting off the bus, the person who came to pick them up was Ruan Shaoke's father, Ruan Chuanyan.

Looking at his father, whom he hadn't seen for so many years, Ruan Shaoke was overcome with sadness.

"Yes, you're back." Looking at his son whom he hadn't seen for so many years, Ruan Chuanyan was speechless for a moment, but he was still very happy. He carefully looked his son over and thought that after so much training, Ruan Shaoke had become stronger, but his skin was still so white!

"Dad, this is my regimental commander, Bai Sirui." When introducing Bai Sirui to his father, he was still a little nervous and afraid that his father would notice something, so he kept a little distance from Bai Sirui guiltily.

"Greetings, sir!" Bai Sirui hadn't expected that Ruan Shaoke's father would come to pick them up in person. This unexpected meeting with the parents left him a little bewildered.

"Let's go, it's getting cold, let's get in the car first."

Watching the three figures disappear into the distance, Bai Sirui gently nudged Ruan Shaoke. "It seems our idea was right."

Ruan Chuanyan's actions demonstrate just how important Ruan Ruan is in the eyes of the Ruan family.

"Yes, you're right." With that, he picked up his things and followed.

On the way back, Ruan Ruan brought Bai Sirui along, and the two of them made Ruan Chuanyan laugh heartily.

Upon entering the residential compound, just outside, someone came out and said, "You're back? It's cold outside, come inside quickly." Su Yunxin had heard the car coming from inside and immediately came out, just in time to see them getting out of the car.

"Mom, I'm back." Ruan Shaoke rushed forward when he saw his mother. Over the years, he had only kept in touch with his family by phone or letter. When he talked to his father, he mostly talked about training or missions. Only when he talked to Su Yunxin could he know about his family and feel his mother's love for him.

"Good, good, good, it's good that you're back. Come inside quickly, it's cold outside." Seeing her son, whom she had been longing for day and night, standing safely in front of her, Su Yunxin was filled with mixed emotions. She was happy for her son, but also worried.

Just as the mother and son were wondering how to express their longing, Bai Sirui stepped forward and said, "Auntie, hello, I am Shao Ke's comrade-in-arms, my name is Bai Sirui. I heard that he wanted to come back to see you, so I shamelessly followed him. I hope you don't mind."

"How could we mind? We're so happy you could come. I'll call you Xiao Rui then. Xiao Rui, make yourself at home. You must be tired from your journey. Come on in, it's warm inside."

Seeing that Su Yunxin didn't mind, Bai Sirui boldly walked up to Ruan Shaoke and said, "Auntie, you can call me whatever you want. Since you said that, I won't stand on ceremony with you."

In Ruan Ruan's opinion, Bai Sirui was really pushing his luck. You have to know that Su Yunxin is a doctor and a mother. Her observation skills are much stronger than Ruan Chuanyan's.

So before Su Yunxin could say anything, Ruan Ruan immediately stepped forward and said, "Second Aunt, it's been so long since I've seen you! I've missed you so much!" As she spoke, Ruan Ruan gave her a big hug.
