Because the broad masses of the people posted comments on the international internet saying, "If the scientific big shots of the 70s hadn't died early, Huaguo would have been the world'...
The next day, apart from Ruan Chuanji and Gu Wenzhen going to work, everyone else was at home. When Ruan Ruan got up, Huo Haocheng was playing chess with the old man, and Bai Sirui, in order to make a good impression, accompanied him as a tea server.
Seeing that she was awake, Huo Haocheng got up and gave his seat to Ruan Shaoke. "Shaoke, you stay with Grandpa for a while."
He walked up to his wife, took her hand, first helped her wash up, and then went to the kitchen to get her breakfast.
After Ruan Ruan finished washing up, she sat down at the table without any hesitation. A little while later, Huo Haocheng came out with a bowl of porridge.
"Eat slowly, be careful it's hot. This is Laba porridge that Auntie just cooked," he said gently as he placed the bowl in front of her.
"Is today Laba Festival?" She took the spoon and gently stirred the bowl twice.
"Yes, listen, the children in the compound are still singing!"
It was a time for children to play. Grandparents in the courtyard were playing with their grandchildren, singing a nursery rhyme: "Little child, little child, don't be greedy, after the Laba Festival comes the New Year; Laba porridge, drink for a few days, then it's the 23rd; on the 23rd, sticky candy; on the 24th, sweep the house; on the 25th, frozen tofu; on the 26th, buy meat; on the 27th, slaughter the rooster; on the 28th, let the dough rise; on the 29th, steam buns; stay up all night on New Year's Eve; on the first and second days of the New Year, stroll the streets."
Listening to the children's cheerful laughter, Ruan Ruan suddenly felt that the house was a bit lonely. Afterwards, she looked around the house.
"What are you looking for?" Huo Haocheng was a little caught off guard by her sudden movement, but seeing her like this, he figured she must be looking for something.
"Where's Shao Hong? Aren't you guys on holiday? Where is he?" Hearing his question, she asked instinctively.
Didn't they say yesterday that they all had a week off? Why is Huo Haocheng here, but Ruan Shaohong is nowhere to be seen?
"Oh, Mom sent him to take my sister-in-law to work. He should be back soon. What's wrong?"
Normally, she would ask Ruan Shaoke and Bai Sirui the most, so why did she suddenly ask about Ruan Shaohong today?
"Oh, it's alright then. I forgot that my sister-in-law has to go to work!" Suddenly seeing all the men at home, he momentarily forgot that Qian Ling had to go to work and assumed that she was on holiday like them.
"So, you're actually looking for your sister-in-law?"
"Okay, it's alright, no rush. When your sister-in-law comes back this afternoon, remember to remind me to take her pulse." The reason she asked him to remind her was that she was afraid she would forget later, after all, this idea was just a spur-of-the-moment thing.
Why did you suddenly decide to take your sister-in-law's pulse?
Huo Haocheng was really out of his depth now. How did a perfectly normal meal turn into taking pulses?
Hearing his question, Ruan Ruan didn't know how to answer him for a moment. She couldn't very well say, "I think our family needs a child, so I want to take my sister-in-law's pulse to see if she's pregnant."
The pressure to have a baby should come from the elders in the family, not from her sister-in-law. How could she possibly do that, especially since she got married half a month earlier than her? She's not pregnant yet either; what will she do when she's pressured to have a baby?
So, after thinking about it, I've decided to forget about it and wait for my sister-in-law to come back before secretly taking a look.
"Oh well, it's not convenient to talk to you about this right now," she sighed, then continued drinking her porridge.
Huo Haocheng felt that his wife was being a bit dramatic today, and he didn't understand her.
Seeing that she really wouldn't say anything, I sat aside and silently kept her company until she finished her meal, then walked into the crowd.
Good morning, Grandpa.
"morning"
"Come play a game with Grandpa." Seeing her come over, and knowing that he was about to lose the game, he thought he could take advantage of her agreement to start a new game.
But to everyone's surprise, the old man's plan was seen through by all the people present. How could the girl who was always mischievous in front of him let him have his way?
"No, no, Grandpa, you're all doing well now, I won't get involved. I just finished eating, I'll just stand here and watch you do this to help with digestion." As she spoke, she clapped her hands rhythmically, one in front of the other.
It's as if it's saying, "Grandpa, keep it up! I believe in you!"
The old man was so angry at her words and actions that he glared at her, his beard bristling. The grandfather and granddaughter were busy with their little scheme, while the other three onlookers didn't know what to say.
Finally, Ruan Shaoke put down the chess piece in his hand and said, "Little sister, you can play for Grandpa. I should go change my medicine." He then prepared to get up.
Seeing this, Bai Sirui immediately stepped forward and helped him stand up. "Yes, yes, I'll go with your second brother to get his medicine applied first. You play chess with Grandpa for a while."
After saying that, the two walked towards the room.
Since confessing last night, the two have been completely open about their relationship at home, and Bai Sirui even moved into Ruan Shaoke's room last night.
This morning, when Ruan Chuanyan and his wife saw the two of them come out of their room together, they decided to avoid seeing them altogether. After breakfast, they had Huo Haocheng take them to the train station, bought tickets for the earliest train, and returned to Shenyang.
They came here to see their son, but now, given what he's done, they can't change his mind right away, so they'd better go back and process it slowly.
Looking at Bai Sirui's smug back, if it weren't for the fact that he was injured, I would have really wanted to go up and kick him.
"Hmph, traitor!"
There was no other way but to sit down and play chess with the old man. However, the thought of her grandfather's terrible chess skills made it impossible for her to concentrate. After thinking for a while, she decided to teach the old man how to play Gomoku.
"Grandpa, how about I teach you a really simple and fun game of chess?"
"Oh, tell me about it."
