Deng Yi thought it was over. He took the bouquet from Lin Qingyuan and happily ran upstairs. Luckily, he saw Gu Jinghe and Ruan Shaolin looking at him with smiling faces.

"Oh my, soon-to-be brother-in-law, you're so eager to see us, aren't you?" Ruan Shaolin looked at Deng Yi with a gloating expression.

He and Gu Jinghe saw everything that happened downstairs clearly from the second floor, especially Deng Yi's expression when he drank the bitter melon juice.
