"There are still some problems with the transitions," Teacher Park commented, "but the timbre is indeed very good. Keep practicing your pronunciation."
After the vocal music class in the morning, Ouyang sat alone in the corner of the cafeteria to eat lunch. Suddenly, Kim Seung-hyun sat down next to him with a plate of food.
"Have you heard?" Kim Seung-hyun lowered his voice mysteriously, "A post went viral last night."
Ouyang Guang shook his head.
"Someone broke the news that they saw Director Kim personally taking you to the interview, and even exempted you from the preliminary test as an exception." Kim Seung-hyun stuffed his mouth with rice, "They also said that you might know a member of SJ..."
Ouyang Guang almost choked on his food: "I can't even recognize all the SJ members."
"I knew it was nonsense." Kim Seung-hyun patted him on the back, "But the post was very popular, and many trainees were discussing it."
The dance class in the afternoon was more rigorous than yesterday. Teacher Zheng taught a basic choreography and asked everyone to perform individually. Although Ouyang Guang remembered the movements, his strength and rhythm were obviously not as good as others.
"Ouyang Guang!" Teacher Zheng frowned, "Your movements are too soft. Dancing is not like doing radio gymnastics!"
A few chuckles rang out in the classroom. Ouyang Guang remained calm, just repeating the movements more vigorously. Sweat soon soaked his T-shirt.
When the bell rang, Kim Seung-hyun gave him a cheering gesture. The two walked to the cafeteria together. On the way, Kim Seung-hyun said mysteriously: "The three people wearing black clothes are from Class C. They always like to show off in Class D."
After dinner, Ouyang Guang went to the acting classroom to practice his lines. In the empty classroom, he stood in front of the mirror and took a deep breath:
"I've told you so many times!" the voice suddenly rose, "This is not the ending I want!"
The boy in the mirror had sharp eyes, completely different from his usual gentle self. He changed a few lines with different emotions, and beads of sweat gradually seeped out of his forehead.
After practicing his lines, Ouyang Guang looked at the time - there was still an hour left before his Korean class. He decided to find an empty practice room to continue practicing dancing.
Pushing open the door of the small practice room at the end of the third floor, Ouyang Guang was surprised to find that there was someone inside. A boy in a black training suit was dancing in front of a mirror, his movements flowing like water.
The boy noticed someone at the door, stopped and turned around. The light shone on his face - his skin was white and almost transparent, his features were delicate, his eyebrows were high, his eye sockets were deep, his nose was high, his jawline was sharp, his appearance was gentle, and his clear eyes seemed to be filled with starlight.
"Sorry, I didn't know there was anyone here." Ouyang Guang said, thinking to himself that this boy was really handsome, a cool and handsome boy.
"It's okay," the boy smiled and answered in Korean with a slight accent, "You can use them together."
Ouyang Guang walked to the other end of the practice room and started practicing. Through the mirror, he couldn't help but observe the boy's dancing posture - every move was full of power but also relaxed.
"You did the wrong turning movement just now." The boy suddenly spoke up and walked to Ouyang Guang to demonstrate, "You should turn your feet first and then move your body."
Ouyang Guang followed his instructions and did it again, and it was much smoother.
Ouyangguang bowed slightly and said politely: "Thank you. My name is Ouyangguang, born in 1995, a new trainee from Shenzhen, Country Z." He paused and added in Chinese: "You don't seem to be very fluent in Korean either, are you from Country Z?"
The boy opposite was stunned, and then his eyes curved into crescents, and two deep dimples blossomed on his cheeks: "So! I'm also from China, from Changsha, Hunan." He stretched out his hand, "My name is Zhang Yixing, born in 1991, just call me Brother Yixing."
"Brother Yixing (in Hunan dialect)!" Ouyang Guang was a little surprised, and his accent slipped out unconsciously, "My father's hometown is Chenzhou, Hunan!"
"Zhang Yixing..." Ouyang Guang muttered the name, and suddenly his eyes lit up, "I've seen you participate in "Star Academy"! Didn't you get the third place? I have a friend who likes you very much, saying that your singing is very good and your performance on the show is very funny and interesting."
Zhang Yixing touched the back of his neck awkwardly, smiling a little shyly: "That was a long time ago..."
The two started chatting. It turned out that Zhang Yixing had been in the company for almost a year, but he had only practiced for a few months due to visa issues. He is currently a trainee in Class C, and was selected into the company for singing. He is currently focusing on dance and composition.
"Brother Yixing, it's getting late. I have to go to Korean class." Ouyang Guang glanced at his watch.
"What time does get out of class end?" Zhang Yixing asked.
"Ten o'clock."
"I'll wait for you to go back to the dormitory together," Zhang Yixing said, "I also live in the company dormitory."
After the Korean class, Ouyangguang returned to the practice room and found Zhang Yixing still practicing dancing. His sweat had soaked through his black T-shirt. When he saw Ouyangguang coming, he stopped and wiped his sweat: "Let's go."
The streets of Seoul were much quieter at night. The two walked side by side, chatting about their experiences in China. When passing by a convenience store, Ouyangguang's stomach growled.
"Are you hungry?" Zhang Yixing said with a smile, "I'll treat you to some ramen. The ramen in this convenience store is delicious."
At the convenience store, the two chose spicy ramen and some snacks. The clerk was a young girl, and when she saw them, her eyes lit up and she secretly took out her cell phone.
"Don't worry," Zhang Yixing whispered, "It's normal for trainees to be photographed, as long as they don't do anything out of line."
After eating the hot ramen, Ouyang Guang felt that the fatigue of the whole day was relieved. Zhang Yixing ate until his nose was sweating, but he kept stuffing kimchi into his mouth.
"Which building is your dormitory in?" Zhang Yixing asked as they walked out of the convenience store.
"Building 5, 6th floor."
"Really? I live on the 7th floor of Building 8 at the back!" Zhang Yixing said in surprise, "Would you like to have breakfast together tomorrow morning? I know there's a delicious porridge shop nearby."
After returning to the dormitory, Ouyangguang washed up, lay on the bed and sent a text message to his mother. The light from the phone screen reflected on his tired but satisfied face.
Outside the window, it was rare to see a few stars in the night sky of Seoul. Ouyang Guang recalled Zhang Yixing's focused expression when he was dancing, and he was deeply moved by his persistence in his dream.
