After the child stars' adorable performance of "Bar Bar Bar," the awards ceremony moved on to the more central awards segment.
The first award to be announced was the Best Couple Award. When clips of Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye's classic interactions in "The Heirs" were played among the ten nominated couples, the audience erupted in expectant cheers.
As expected, the "Crown Couple," who swept the entire summer, won the award without any surprise. The two walked the stage side-by-side, with Lee Min-ho gentlemanly supporting Park Shin-hye, who was dressed in a pristine white gown resembling a wedding dress—a truly pleasing sight. During their acceptance speeches, they thanked each other for their professionalism and chemistry. The host even cued Oh Yang-yang to answer a question, eliciting bursts of laughter.
Next up was the "Producer's Award," jointly selected by producers from the three major television networks, SBS, KBS, and MBC. Presenters Jeon San, president of the Korea Drama PD Association, and actress Kang So-ra took to the stage and, to the astonishment of the audience, announced the winner as Lee Bo-young for "I Hear Your Voice."
This is one of the highest recognitions of an actor's professionalism and industry reputation. Lee Bo-young's remarks were sincere and humble, expressing her gratitude to all her colleagues on set.
The merit award was presented by veteran actor Lee Deok-hwa, and the recipient was Kim Soo-mi, also a veteran actress, for her role in "Incarnation of Money." Kim Soo-mi's acceptance speech, filled with her love and dedication to the acting profession, was deeply moving.
Then came a lighthearted and fun special performance segment: a costume magic show presented by Kim Ji-won and Oryang Sunshine.
The stage lights shifted to a dreamy pink and purple hue, and Kim Ji-won stood on a circular rotating platform in the center of the stage, while Oh Yang-yang played the role of a magician. As the music played, he elegantly waved his magic wand, and the curtain behind Kim Ji-won rapidly changed, magically altering her outfit: from a pink school uniform in the drama to an elegant white dress, then to a retro Hepburn-style black dress… Each transformation drew gasps from the audience.
This visual effect was actually achieved using a rotating stage and a rapid costume-changing team, but the two's seamless teamwork and stage presence made this segment incredibly fun and created a strong sense of chemistry. For their final look, Kim Ji-won changed into a black dress that complemented Oryang's suit, and the two bowed side-by-side, bringing the event to a perfect close.
The Top Ten Stars Awards brought the atmosphere to a small climax. The award presenter, the nation's grandfather Lee Soon-jae, took to the stage and announced the winners in his calm and kind voice: Jo In-sung, Song Hye-kyo, Nam Sang-mi, Lee Jong-suk, Lee Bo-young, Park Shin-hye, Oh Sunny, Lee Min-ho, So Ji-sub, and Lee Yo-won. Each of them is a popular lead actor in this year's SBS dramas.
The award winners took to the stage one after another, with Ouyang standing last. Song Hye-kyo was absent due to filming in China, and when the nine award winners stood in a row on stage, the dazzling star power almost made the stage feel crowded. Each award winner gave their acceptance speech, and Ouyang, as usual, spoke, thanking the crew, family, members, and fans.
Following the Top Ten Stars Award, the Popularity Award was chosen from among the ten. Ultimately, it was awarded to Ou Yangguang!
Applause and screams instantly swept through the venue. He bowed slightly and took the microphone again. At that moment, his suit shimmered under the stage lights, but even more dazzling than his attire was the light in his eyes.
"I really...thank you so much." His voice trembled slightly, and after taking a deep breath, he continued, "This award is a precious gift from every viewer who voted for me. I will cherish this sentiment and use it to motivate myself to become a better actor and present better works. Thank you, I love you all."
As the award winners stepped down from the stage, a specially produced short film began playing on the big screen, featuring audience submissions of imitations of classic scenes from the year's most popular dramas. Some imitated the scene where Kim Tan and Cha Eun-sang met on the stairs in "The Heirs," others the mind-reading scene in "I Hear Your Voice," and still others the "air raid shelter" gag from "Master's Sun"... The scenes, some hilarious and others heartwarming, showcased the audience's love for the dramas, eliciting continuous laughter from the audience.
After the short film ended, the awards ceremony continued. The Best Actress Award for Feature Film was presented by Kang Ji-sub and Park Eun-hye, with Kim Ji-hoon winning the male award for "Goddess of Marriage" and Wang Kwang-na winning the female award for "Two Women's Room".
The presenters for the Best Actress Award for a Medium-Length Drama were Park Yoo-chun and Jung Yoo-mi. The male winner was Sung Dong-il for "Jang Ok-jung, Living by Love," while the female winner once again went to Park Shin-hye for "The Heirs"! This was her second time on stage tonight, and in her acceptance speech, she especially thanked screenwriter Kim Eun-sook for creating the resilient character of Cha Eun-sang.
The Best Short Film Acting Award was presented by Park Hae-jin and Yoo In-na. The male winner was Lee Jong-suk for *I Hear Your Voice*, and the female winner was Sung Yu-ri for *The Secret of Birth*. Lee Jong-suk's win elicited cheers from the *I Hear Your Voice* cast area in the audience.
