After three years of secret marriage, before it could even be made public, she was snatched away by a popular actress. Before she even got a divorce, the other party had already announced their eng...
Huo Chenyu moved too fast; no one had time to react.
Tang Li was carried out of the private room and walked quite a distance before she swallowed the lobster, patting his shoulder and saying:
"Huo Chenyu, are you cursing me?"
Huo Chenyu lowered his head:
"I'm saving you."
"Save me?" Tang Li scoffed coldly, "I'll be thanking my lucky stars if you don't harm me."
Huo Chenyu, a victorious smile on his face, strode confidently out the door.
"Tonight's dinner is no family feast, it's clearly a trap. You can't stay in such a dangerous place for long. Tell me, isn't this me saving you?"
Tang Li admitted that she didn't want to face this large family either.
It's a shame about that half Boston lobster.
The taste is quite good.
Hearing Tang Li's muttered complaints, Huo Chenyu smiled knowingly, then carried her back to the lobby and said to the waiter:
"Could you please pack me some of your local specialties? I'll be waiting in the car by the door."
Waiter: "Sir, we have many specialties here."
Huo Chenyu spoke boldly:
"Then let's pack them all up in one order."
When they walked out again and came to the car, Huo Chenyu loosened one hand and found that Tang Li was holding him firmly, showing no intention of letting go.
"Honey, if you don't want to get down, I'll carry you around for a couple more laps."
......
Tang Li's face turned red with embarrassment. She quickly let go of his arms and got out of his princess carry. After regaining her balance, she straightened her clothes and waved to him.
"Let's say goodbye now. Goodbye."
Huo Chenyu grabbed her arm:
"Didn't you say it was a pity about that half Boston lobster? Now you have a whole one that's about to be yours, don't you want it?"
Tang Li rolled her eyes at him:
"Am I, Tang Li, someone who can't afford a Boston lobster?"
That's what he said, but the next second, Tang Li got into the passenger seat of his car.
Huo Chenyu leaned against the car window, looking at her with a doting expression. Tang Li chuckled, "You know I'm the most materialistic person, and I'm also very stingy. How could I, Tang Li, miss out on such a great opportunity to get a good deal? After all, my money didn't grow on trees, but yours does!"
Actually, there was another very important reason why Tang Li got on the bus.
She saw Xi Leng chasing after her.
Sitting in Huo Chenyu's car was more painful than retorting with a thousand words.
She didn't notice that there was someone else in the driver's seat. By the time she realized it, Huo Chenyu had already walked to the driver's side and opened the door.
"Dude, move aside."
He Junshu slumped in the driver's seat with a mischievous grin on his face.
"You bastard, I'm willing to serve you and your husband tonight."
Tang Li's statement:
"I'm sorry, but I think I need to remind you that I have already ended my marriage with him. I am now at most his ex-wife. Please watch your words."
Huo Chenyu also saw Xiling chasing after them, and patted He Junshu on the chest:
"Help me get her sorted out."
Although He Junshu really wanted to tease Tang Li, he preferred to protect their love rather than joke around.
After getting out of the car, He Junshu blocked Xi Leng at the gate.
Huo Chenyu drove off, and Tang Li couldn't help but ask:
What should we do with the food we ordered?
Huo Chenyu smiled knowingly:
"He will bring it back."
Tang Li remained silent throughout the journey.
Her mind was filled with Song Boying's unintentional remark; some of the information that slipped out could not possibly be unfounded.
Back at the hotel, Tang Li suddenly remembered:
"No wonder Song Nanzhou didn't attend the family banquet. He probably knew the meal wouldn't be good, so he simply didn't show up. Since you ordered so much food, and we can't finish it anyway, why don't we invite Song Nanzhou and Lu Zhu to eat together?"
In the elevator, Huo Chenyu approached her:
"You're acting very strangely."
Tang Li lowered his head in embarrassment:
"What could be abnormal about me? Aren't I as materialistic and vain as ever?"
Huo Chenyu shook his head:
"No, normally, even if you had no choice but to come with me, you would have gotten off halfway there. You wouldn't have obediently come back to the hotel with me, let alone agree to have dinner with me."
Tang Li touched her belly and said:
"I was simply not full, and the food there suited my taste perfectly, that's all. Mr. Huo, please don't flatter yourself. After all, people have pride and trees have bark, so you'd better keep some dignity for yourself."
"If that's the case," Huo Chenyu said, taking a few steps back and staring at the rising elevator floor number.
"I'm going back to Tanzhou tomorrow, and I'll be going back with Nanzhou."
Tang Li blurted out:
"What a coincidence, I'm also going back tomorrow."
Huo Chenyu raised an eyebrow and smiled mischievously:
Where are you going tomorrow?
Tang Li feigned mystery: "Didn't Mr. Song tell you?"
"Tell me what?" Huo Chenyu fell for the trick.
Haha, men.
Indeed, once someone gets jealous, their IQ immediately drops to negative.
Tang Li feigned shyness:
"Since he hasn't said anything, I won't say much. Let's wait for him to tell you himself, after all, you two are the best of brothers."
Huo Chenyu immediately became anxious, took a large step forward, grabbed Tang Li's wrist, and asked:
"Did that bastard Song Nanzhou say something to you after I left this afternoon?"
Tang Li looked up and asked:
What could he possibly say?
"What do you think he could say?" Huo Chenyu was clearly flustered.
Tang Li exclaimed in surprise:
"What can a single man and a divorced woman possibly talk about? They can't exactly discuss matters of national righteousness or business disputes, can they?"
