After Divorce, The Cold CEO Begs Me Not to Withdraw Investment

Ye Feng loved Liu Qingyi for ten years, believing she was the only one in his life. However, he never expected a younger man to interfere. Filled with disappointment, he resolutely chose divorce.

Chapter 125 You Don't Need to Play the Grandson

Ye Feng tentatively placed his hand on her lower abdomen and gently massaged it.

The sudden warmth made Liu Qingyi's body tremble slightly.

For a moment, she forgot to react and let Ye Feng do as he pleased.

"What...what are you doing?" Liu Qingyi finally realized what was happening and asked anxiously.

"To help relieve your pain."

Ye Feng replied, his tone calm and natural.

Liu Qingyi felt uncomfortable all over. She twisted her body and said awkwardly, "Whether I live or die is none of your business. You don't need to pretend to be sympathetic."

Ye Feng didn't understand the implied meaning in Liu Qingyi's words, and simply said "Oh" before withdrawing his hand.

Liu Qingyi frowned slightly and asked again, "What are you doing?"

"Nothing," Ye Feng replied blankly.

"Then why are you moving around like that?" Liu Qingyi scolded playfully.

"I didn't move."

Ye Feng felt somewhat aggrieved.

After a few minutes of silence.

Finally, Liu Qingyi whispered, almost stammering, "You... put your hand back..."

Ye Feng looked at her, hesitated for a moment, and then did as she asked, placing his hand back on her lower abdomen.

The room was completely silent.

After a long silence, Liu Qingyi finally spoke slowly, her voice still hoarse: "That's enough."

Ye Feng stopped what he was doing. He looked down at Liu Qingyi, his eyes filled with inquiry: "Are you really alright?"

Liu Qingyi suddenly opened her eyes, her gaze icy: "Just move it when I tell you to! Stop with the nonsense!"

Ye Feng silently withdrew his hand.

Looking at his obedient appearance, Liu Qingyi couldn't help but burst out laughing.

She herself found it strange that he became more obedient when she spoke coldly to him.

Ye Feng was taken aback by her sudden laughter: "Want some water?"

He got up to pour water, and when he came back, he handed the glass to Liu Qingyi: "Drink slowly, don't choke."

Liu Qingyi took the water glass, took a small sip, then put it down, her tone returning to its previous coldness: "It's all your fault, my stomach problems have flared up again."

Ye Feng remained silent.

Perhaps both sides are at fault in this matter.

He could not tolerate Qin Yifei's provocation.

“I can bow my head and submit in front of you, but not in front of Qin Yifei. I can’t act like a grandson.”

Liu Qingyi was stunned.

"Who told you to act like a coward?"

Ye Feng looked at her, puzzled: "Isn't that right? If it weren't for this, would you be so angry?"

Liu Qingyi thought for a moment and then explained, "Tonight was just for business talks and drinking. If you hit him, how will we be able to do business in the future?"

Ye Feng, however, directly pointed out the problem.

"If he genuinely wants to help Jinxiu, the cooperation can naturally be reached; if he has ulterior motives, even drinking a few times won't help."

Liu Qingyi was speechless for a moment, then waved her hand, signaling Ye Feng to continue.

Ye Feng gave a self-deprecating laugh: "I know you all think I'm not qualified to participate in the Liu family's decision-making. I'm just an outsider."

Liu Qingyi opened her mouth, but found she couldn't refute it.

"Qin Yifei is just a middleman; Jinxiu's financial strategy is ultimately decided by the company itself."

Liu Qingyi instinctively retorted, but her tone clearly lacked confidence: "He has the authority to make decisions!"

"What is the essence of financial tycoons? It's a game of capital. Only companies with solid accounts and substantial profits can secure investment, not those who rely on drinking and networking."

Ye Feng's words were like pearls, each one a sharp knife, piercing Liu Qingyi's weak spot.

Liu Qingyi was stunned; she had never thought of these things before.

She had always believed that Qin Yifei was able to help Jinxiu secure investment because of his connections and skills.

She stared at Ye Feng, her gaze probing: "You seem a little different today than usual."

Ye Feng met her gaze and said calmly, "Nothing is different. It's just that you all looked down on me before. I was insignificant and your words carried no weight. You never listened to me seriously."

Liu Qingyi felt a little uncomfortable: "You're overthinking it."

"No." Ye Feng shook his head. "I'm not as useless as you think. In this materialistic society, everyone measures other people's abilities and status by money, and you're no exception. But I'm not poor."

Liu Qingyi only focused on the first half of the sentence: "It is not wrong to measure a person's ability by his or her wealth."

Ye Feng ignored her explanation and continued, "You believe Qin Yifei is more capable than me, but what you see on the surface isn't necessarily the truth. Besides, if he wanted to use this matter to control the Liu family, it would be incredibly easy for him."

Liu Qingyi became a little anxious: "Qin Yifei isn't that kind of person!"

Ye Feng didn't want to waste any more words.

"I've said everything I needed to say. If you can't listen, that's your problem."

He got up to leave.

Seeing that he was about to leave, Liu Qingyi hurriedly asked, "Where are you going?"

She hesitated for a moment, then softened her tone: "I drank quite a bit tonight and was angry, so I didn't think before I spoke. I didn't mean to look down on you. But if you want to leave, I won't stop you."

Ye Feng stopped and remained silent for a moment.

"Does your stomach still hurt?"

Liu Qingyi shook her head: "Much better."

Ye Feng was slightly relieved: "Don't stay up late in the future. Try to decline drinking engagements if you can. If you really can't refuse, don't mix drinks. Drink room temperature drinks."

A warm feeling welled up in Liu Qingyi's heart.

He still cares about me, Liu Qingyi.

The next morning, Liu Qingyi woke up early.

After a quick wash, I went downstairs for breakfast.
