He Chi didn't care about the IOU, but he knew Jiang Yining valued it very much. He thought about it and said, "It's probably in the study. I'll go look for it."
"I locked the marriage certificate in the safe. It won't be lost."
Jiang Yining followed him to the study and mentioned the class reunion this weekend.
He Chi instantly became alert. He asked politely, "Are there many people going there?"
Jiang Yining saw that there were quite a lot of people signing up in the group, "About twenty or so. I guess everyone is free on the weekend."
About twenty?
He found the IOU, gave it to Jiang Yining, and asked, "Are you girls the only ones attending, or..."
Jiang Yining happily tore up the IOU. "There are both men and women. And the former yard hunk was also in our class, so he's coming this time too."
He Chi said "oh" with disinterest, and after a pause, he said, "I used to be the most handsome boy in our police academy."
Jiang Yining is now particularly tolerant of He Chi's strange desire to win.
She stood on tiptoe, cupped He Chi's handsome face, and kissed him on the lips. "My husband is the most handsome. None of the other yard hunk in our yard is as handsome as you."
He Chi's heart was moved by her words.
Jiang Yining just let go of her hand, thinking that a kiss would be enough, but He Chi carried her to sit on the desk. He didn't let her go until her lips were red and swollen.
She touched her lips with her fingers, her cheeks flushed lightly, and she glared at him coquettishly.
This made He Chi even more itchy.
Before going to bed, He Chi wanted to do something, but last night...
He forced himself to chat with Jiang Yining while covered with a quilt.
Jiang Yining told He Chi that he invested the remaining money from selling the house into Zhang Qiao and her colleagues' studio.
It's just a small amount of money, He Chi said, "Just treat it as a joke, our family doesn't lack this little money, don't worry."
"I'm not worried, I'm just telling you."
Jiang Yining put He Chi's arm under his neck, turned around and hugged him, and asked, "What dish did you learn tonight?"
He Chi was thinking about other things at the moment, and was distracted by Jiang Yining's words, "Braised spareribs, braised fish, and braised pork."
"Why are they all braised?"
He Chi held down Jiang Yining's hand that was groping around his waist and abdomen, "The theme of tonight is braised pork."
The teachers in that institution were pretty good, but he was the only man of his age there. An aunt came up to him and blatantly tried to touch his hand.
He Chi told Jiang Yining about this.
Jiang Yining heard a hint of grievance in his tone and found it funny. She asked him, "Did you hide away?"
"Of course, I told her I was a police officer, but she didn't believe me. I showed her photos of me when I was a special police officer."
Jiang Yining suppressed his laughter and asked, "And then?"
"She wants to introduce her daughter to me."
Jiang Yining: “…”
She touched He Chi's hand, but didn't feel the ring. "You're not wearing your wedding ring?"
"I forgot to wear it when I went out this morning."
He Chi reached out and took the ring from the bedside table next to him, and asked Jiang Yining to help him put it on. "I told them that my wife is a teacher, beautiful and has a good personality."
"Those ladies knew I was married and praised me as a good man and a good husband. After they finished their studies, they came over to give me guidance. Even the teachers paid special attention to me."
He Chi played with Jiang Yining's fingers and continued, "I told the teacher that my wife loves braised pork the most, and asked her to teach me how to make it for you in a few days."
Listening to him talk about what happened in the cooking class, for some reason, Jiang Yining felt particularly at ease with He Chi.
He Chi smiled silently when he noticed Jiang Yining hugging him tighter.
After a moment, he asked casually, "Wife, can we bring our family members to that class reunion?" This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
