Chapter 128: I Don’t Need Him (2/2)

Although Chen Feng did not approve of his brother staying in the bar, he did not stop him.

After hearing what Jiang Yining said, Chen Ran hummed and smiled at her, "Sister Yining, this is the private room that Brother Chi asked me to reserve for you. Brother Chi said he has paid for your drinks, so you can order whatever you want."

"I'll ask them to prepare some fruit dessert, and I'll bring it up later."

Jiang Yining smiled and nodded, "Okay."

She took a photo of the box's door number and sent it to them. A few minutes later, Teacher Liu arrived.

Jiang Yining remembered that Teacher Liu had said before that she would bring her newly confirmed boyfriend over.

Now that she was alone, she asked, "Isn't your boyfriend here?"

Teacher Liu said angrily, "Don't mention it. We broke up last night."

Jiang Yining said in surprise, "Didn't you just confirm your relationship? Why did you break up?"

Before the others arrived, Teacher Liu briefly explained to Jiang Yining, "He's pursuing me because he's old enough and his parents are forcing him to do so. He also pursues me because I'm a teacher like him."

"I heard him talking to his ex-girlfriend on the phone last night, so I asked him about it, and he said I shouldn't ask about his personal matters."

Teacher Liu found it funny thinking about it now. "Do you think he's sick? As his girlfriend, can't I even ask him a question?"

"It's not like I must be with him. I even look down on him. Why is he acting so arrogant in front of me?"

When Chen Ran brought the fruit up, he saw a man wearing glasses standing at the door of the box, so he asked, "Are you my sister Yining's colleague?"

Yang Hui felt a little embarrassed, and the conversation inside stopped abruptly.

He nodded to Chen Ran and pushed the door open.

Jiang Yining and Teacher Liu both looked over.

After Chen Ran put down the fruit and left, Yang Hui explained, "I just came over and heard you guys talking, so I thought I wouldn't disturb you."

"I swear on my character that I was definitely not eavesdropping."

Teacher Liu said nonchalantly, "What's the big deal? It's not something shameful. It's just a breakup, and I don't have any feelings for him."

When they were colleagues, Yang Hui reminded her, "Next time, you should investigate more carefully before discussing it. Character is more important than appearance."

Teacher Liu thanked Yang Hui and then sighed, "When do you think my true love will appear?"

She didn’t know when her true love would appear, but other colleagues arrived one after another.

The three of them didn't discuss the topic anymore.

This time it was Jiang Yining who treated everyone. She first called her colleagues and asked everyone to place their orders freely.

After everyone started chatting happily, Jiang Yining asked Teacher Liu in a low voice, "Do you want me to introduce you to someone?"

Teacher Liu asked with interest, "Is he handsome?"

Jiang Yining thought He Jin was as handsome as He Chi, and nodded, "Handsome, he's the other owner of this bar, my husband's high school classmate."

Teacher Liu suddenly lost interest. "I've seen him before. Never mind. He who isn't handsome won't do. He who is too handsome won't do either. I don't feel safe."

Jiang Yining remembered that He Chi said He Jin was being urged to get married by his family, so he asked her if there were any suitable colleagues in the school who could be introduced to him.

But she didn't know if this was what He Jin meant.

Since Teacher Liu was not interested, Jiang Yining did not mention it again.

Jiang Yining received a message from He Chi: [Honey, I might not finish work until after 10 o'clock. Don't drink too much. When you're done with the party, let me know and I'll arrange for a driver to take you home.]

She lowered her head and typed a reply to He Chi's message: [I don't dare drink when you're not around. No need to bother the driver to come over. I'll take a taxi back.]

After Jiang Yining finished replying to He Chi, he looked up and saw that Teacher Liu had run over to sit next to Yang Hui. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
