He warned them, "Don't play too late, don't drink too much, and go home early."
Song Xingyu and Ling Yue both nodded obediently.
After He Chi went upstairs, Song Xingyu asked them, "Do you think Brother He Chi seems a little depressed?"
A soothing and lively foreign song was playing in the bar. Ling Yue followed the rhythm, tapping the table with her fingers.
Ling Yue hadn't paid much attention just now. She picked up the drink prepared by the bartender and took a sip. "Really? Isn't he always like this?"
Chen Ran spoke as if he saw through everything, "What else could it be? Sister Yining must have sent him to sleep in the guest room."
Song Xingyu and Ling Yue didn't quite believe it, "No way."
Ling Yue said, "Since Sister Ning is so gentle and easy to talk to, I don't think so."
Chen Ran snorted, "You don't know how annoying Brother Chi has been lately. Now none of us brothers want to bother with him."
"Anyway, my brother had this deadpan expression when my sister-in-law sent him to sleep in the guest room."
Hearing this, Song Xingyu and Ling Yue looked at each other and laughed.
Song Xingyu said in disbelief, "I can't believe that Brother He Chi is actually a henpecked husband. I wonder if my brother will be like this in the future."
It was getting late, and Lingyue had to go to work tomorrow. She finished her glass of wine and said, "Xingyu, I have to go back."
Song Xingyu hummed, "Bye, be careful on the road."
Now she was the only one left here, Chen Ran asked her in confusion, "Xingyu, Jin Ge is five years older than you..."
Song Xingyu corrected him, "To be exact, he is four years and seven months old."
Chen Ran opened his mouth, was silent for a moment, and then said, "Okay, Brother Jin is four years and seven months older than you. What exactly do you like about him?"
Song Xingyu smiled mischievously. "He's handsome, and what's wrong with a few years difference? My brother said that mature men are caring."
Chen Ran asked her in disbelief, "Brother Xingjin also agrees with you pursuing Brother Jin?"
Song Xingyu asked him, "Why don't you agree?"
First there was Jiang Yining, and later there was Song Xingyu, both were bewitched by the men's appearance.
Chen Ran said bitterly, "I'm telling you, Jin Ge is just like your brother, a man who is devoted to his work. Besides, he's not young anymore, so if he's dating someone, he's definitely aiming for marriage. I'm sure he won't agree to be with you."
Song Xingyu said, "If it's suitable, I can marry him. I'm also single."
"I'm not saying you can't get married."
Chen Ran sighed, "It's mainly you guys..."
He said politely, "It's not appropriate, you know?"
Song Xingyu asked in confusion, "Inappropriate? Is it because I'm the eldest daughter of the Song family and he's just a bar owner?"
"Our family doesn't care about that."
Seeing her insistence, Chen Ran didn't want to persuade her anymore. After thinking for a moment, he added, "You don't mind, but others may have concerns."
"And I don't think Jin-ge likes you either."
Song Xingyu stood up. Chen Ran's last words made her angry. "You say you don't like it, so you don't like it? Even if he doesn't like it, I can make him like it!"
After saying that, Song Xingyu turned and left. After walking a few steps, she turned back and snorted at Chen Ran angrily.
Chen Ran didn't dare to provoke her.
After everyone left, he said to the bartender next to him, "You see, people just don't want to listen to the truth."
Chen Ran thought Song Xingyu had really left the bar this time, but she came back. He was afraid that Song Xingyu would come over and argue with him, so he squatted down and hid.
About a minute later, the bartender next to him said to Chen Ran, "Don't hide anymore. He went upstairs. He must be looking for Brother Jin." This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
