Jiang Yining couldn't leave work after the school bell rang because he had a meeting to attend.
As I was packing up to go to the meeting, Teacher Liu asked, "Teacher Jiang, do you want to ask the head teacher for some leave?"
"The principal of the university requires all teachers to be in place, and there is no rush."
Jiang Yining picked up her notebook and went to the meeting with Teacher Liu and the others. She had asked He Chi to come an hour later.
Teacher Liu sighed, "We always have to hold a meeting before each holiday."
Yang Hui reminded her, "Don't sleep anymore later, or you'll be criticized again."
"I'm one of the principal's key targets now, how can I dare to sleep?"
Teacher Liu patted Yang Hui's shoulder with a smile, "Teacher Yang, what are your plans for the three days of New Year's Day? A few of us teachers are planning to go hiking to watch the sunrise. Do you want to join us?"
Yang Hui did not agree immediately, "Let's see tomorrow, I'll go when I have time."
The meeting lasted for an hour and a half, with the focus on requiring all teachers to strengthen their final work.
The final exams of this semester will be set by the city. As a key junior high school in the province, their school must strive to be among the top three.
After the meeting, Jiang Yining walked back to the office with Teacher Liu and Yang Hui.
The meeting drained all their energy and they were all silent. When they returned to the office, Jiang Yining listened to other teachers' discussion.
"Strive to be in the top three. To put it more clearly, you need to rank first in the average score in each subject. Otherwise, you'll be waiting to write a self-criticism when next semester starts."
Teacher Liu didn't even want to go hiking. "Your classes one and two have good grades overall, and the students are well behaved."
"Unlike our class, where we have three of the top five students in the grade, but the average score just won't go up. I'm worried."
She watched Jiang Yining hurriedly packing up her things and asked, "Teacher Jiang, if I remember correctly, your class took first place in the average scores of Chinese, math, and English in the midterm exam?"
Jiang Yining sorted out the test papers of the two classes for this monthly exam.
When Jiang Yining heard Teacher Liu ask her, she hummed, "Fortunately, the grades of students in my class are not uneven and are relatively stable, but there are relatively few top students."
He Chi was already waiting for her outside.
Jiang Yining packed up her things and walked out. She smiled slightly and said, "Teacher Liu, Teacher Yang, my husband is waiting for me. I will go back first. I wish you a happy New Year in advance."
Teacher Liu patted his head and said, "Look at me, I actually forgot. Teacher Jiang, don't worry, just walk slowly."
Jiang Yining smiled and replied, "Okay."
Outside the school, He Chi saw Jiang Yining walking towards him with the test paper in her arms from a distance. Seeing that she was walking fast, he quickly drove over.
He Chi unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. He walked towards her and said with a slightly frown, "Wife, this little time is not a big deal. What if you fall?"
He stared at Jiang Yining's belly, his deep black eyes filled with anticipation, and a smile played on his lips.
Under the dim street lights, Jiang Yining looked up at He Chi, and suddenly felt that his cold and hard facial features seemed to soften a lot.
She curved her lips and smiled, thinking it was better to remind him, "Don't expect too much, it's not certain yet."
"We originally agreed to a one-hour meeting, but we're half an hour late. Did you wait long?"
He Chi took the test paper she was holding and put it in the back seat. "No, I just arrived."
Jiang Yining walked around to the passenger door, opened it, and got in the car. After fastening her seat belt, she picked up the bag of things He Chi bought and took a look at it.
This person, who had always said that he didn't want to have a child so early, is now more eager than anyone else.
He Chi bought a lot of things for testing.
Jiang Yining glanced at the receipt and teased him, "Didn't you say you just arrived? Why does the receipt show that you checked out at 4:30?"
Meeting the smile in her eyes, He Chi slowly glanced at the receipt in her hand, but still said stubbornly, "You don't allow people to have problems with their computers?"
He waited from half past four until dark.
Jiang Yining put the things away, laughed, and gave him some face. "Then there must be something wrong with their computer."
"Let's go eat first. I'm a little hungry."
He Chi found a restaurant.
He eats fast. He put down his chopsticks within ten minutes of the food being served, and then kept watching Jiang Yining eat.
