After Escaping Famine, Three-Year-Old Fu Bao Became Everyone’s Favorite

During the famine, a sack of grain was traded for a little girl. Everyone thought the family had lost their minds.

But ever since they adopted little Qingtian, it was as if their lives had be...

Chapter 426 Giving the Daughter-in-law Enough Face

The children were laughing and making a lot of noise, and Ding Hongyun, who was originally having fun with Qingtian, was immediately pushed aside.

She tried several times to squeeze back to Qingtian.

But at her young age, she could not squeeze in with the five boys of the Ye family, and finally she burst into tears.

Ding Zhiyu finally woke up from his obsession with the Nine Links when he heard his sister crying. Thinking his sister was being bullied, he quickly stepped forward to protect her behind him. He looked at the others and asked, "Did you make my sister cry?"

The five brothers of the Ye family then discovered that besides Qingtian, there were two other unfamiliar children on the kang.

"Qingtian, who are they? Did you bring them back from the capital?"

"No." Qingtian shook his head and introduced them to his brothers. "They are my aunt's grandson and granddaughter. My aunt's eldest daughter is visiting her parents today, so she brought them along."

"This is Brother Ding Zhiyu. He is seven years old this year. He is younger than the eldest and second brothers, the same age as the third and fourth brothers, and older than Brother Nian Nian and me.

"This is Sister Ding Hongyun. She is younger than me and is the little sister of all of us."

After Qingtian finished speaking, he reached out and pulled Ding Hongyun, wiped her tears and asked, "Hongyun, why are you crying?"

Seeing that Qingtian's attention had finally returned to her, Ding Hongyun immediately left her brother behind and threw herself into Qingtian's arms, crying, "Sister, take me to play."

Ding Zhiyu felt embarrassed when he saw this. It turned out that his sister was crying not because she was bullied.

However, no one else paid any attention to Ding Zhiyu's emotions. They were all dissatisfied with Ding Hongyun's insistence on monopolizing Qingtian.

Ye Changnian, relying on his young age, said unhappily, "Sister finally came back, and we haven't treated her well enough yet. Why should we take you out to play?"

Ye Changfeng secretly wanted to squeeze himself in between Qingtian and Ding Hongyun.

Seeing that Ding Hongyun looked like she was about to cry again, Qingtian quickly pushed Ye Changfeng away and tugged at Ye Changnian's sleeve, signaling him to stop talking.

Qingtian patted Ding Hongyun soothingly and said, "Hongyun is young and doesn't know you guys, so brothers, please don't bother with her."

Ye Changxue had the worst temper. She glanced at Ding Zhiyu and said, "Whoever owns the sister should be responsible for coaxing her. Qingtian is a pampered girl in our family, not someone who does this!"

"Don't start crying and howling and then blame us for bullying you."

"Second brother!" Qingtian frowned and called out, but in order to save Ye Changxue's face, she did not say anything in front of the Ding brothers and sisters.

Fortunately, Ye Changxue recognized Qingtian's tone and shut up angrily without saying anything more.

Ye Changrui came over to smooth things over and said, "Alright, stop arguing, go wash your hands and get ready for dinner!

"Old Three, Old Four, Nian Nian, take the guests to wash their hands."

Qingtian also said to Ding Hongyun: "Hongyun, let your brother take you to wash your hands. Later, when we eat, you can sit next to your sister, okay?"

"Okay!" Ding Hongyun immediately nodded happily, and then was taken away by Ding Zhiyu holding his hand.

Only Ye Changrui, Ye Changxue and Qingtian were left in the room.

Ye Changxue curled his lips and said preemptively, "Alright, alright, I knew you two were going to team up and teach me a lesson again, right?"

"Second brother, I know you are on my side and protecting me." Qingtian said soft words as soon as he came up.

"You heartless little thing, you still know that I am protecting you!" Ye Changxue was a person who would give in to soft words but not to tough ones. After hearing Qingtian say this, his arrogance was instantly extinguished.

Seeing that he had finally calmed down, Qingtian said, "Second brother, think about it, we are both brothers, and the brother from the Ding family must be protecting his sister just like you, right?

"What's more, he is my aunt's grandson and this is his first time visiting our home.

"How good is my aunt to us? You should not lose your temper with others, right?"

Ye Changxue easily listened to Qingtian's words.

Ye Changrui suddenly said, "That's right. After all, they are guests. What you did just now was really inappropriate."

Ye Changxue's hair, which had just been smoothed down by Qingtian, instantly stood up again.

He pushed Ye Changrui away angrily, turned around and ran out.

Ye Changrui looked puzzled. He just said something to his sister, so why was he angry again?

Qingtian said: "Brother, go and eat quickly, I'll go see the second brother."

"Never mind him, let's go eat whether he wants to or not." Ye Changrui pulled Qingtian aside and said, "The second brother's temper is really getting worse and worse!"

Qingtian was also a little helpless. Ye Changrui had been sent to school since he was young, so he had a bit of a pedantic personality and had less time to play with his brothers.

Ye Changxue has been wild since he was a child. He often takes his three younger brothers out to play and hates being taught a lesson the most.

The two brothers often have misunderstandings due to communication problems.

Fortunately, Ye Changxue finally listened to Qingtian's words and did not show his unhappiness in front of the guests. He ate lunch with them honestly.

Because Qingtian rarely came back, the brothers were reluctant to go back for a nap at noon and all surrounded Qingtian and asked him questions.

"Sunny, are you tired of studying in the capital?"

"Not tired at all," Qingtian said. "I only go half a day every day, and Mr. Wei doesn't give me much homework, so I'm not tired at all."

"Did Mr. Wei also teach you how to keep accounts?"

"Yes!" Qingtian nodded and said, "There's no one to keep accounts in my mother's shop, so I asked Mr. Wei to teach me how to do it.

"Mr. Wei also taught me how to use an abacus!
