Chapter 229 What are you two doing?

The group had been wandering around the island for quite some time and had seen all sorts of beautiful sights.

"Why are you all looking at me? Do you dare say you don't want to eat?!" the tomb raider asked, looking at the group.

"Yes, I do!" one of the tomb raiders immediately replied.

He's been eating dry rations for days and is really feeling awful.

The remaining tomb raiders all nodded in agreement; they too had been eager to eat meat for some time.

Shen Jin's cheeks were stuffed full, and he looked at them somewhat sluggishly.

"Where's Shen Jin? Do you want to eat it?" The tomb raider suddenly turned to look at Shen Jin.

Shen Jin, who was inexplicably called out, was stunned for a moment, and looked up at the tomb raider with a bewildered expression.

"Tell me! Do you want to eat meat?" The tomb raider stared intently at Shen Jin.

If Shen Jin says he wants to eat something, they will definitely try to get some meat.

Then, the group tied up the animal traps with ropes and carried them away, while others found some other hunting tools.

Shen Jin and Yan Yu followed the tomb raiders to a mountain forest where there might be prey.

“This place is close to a water source, and we saw a lot of rabbit paw prints and droppings on the way here, so there should be rabbits here,” the tomb raider who had been leading the way said.

Everyone nodded in understanding.

Subsequently, based on their previous hunting experience, the group set up hunting traps in places where prey was likely to pass by.

Some tomb raiders even used local materials like bamboo and wood to create a trap that could catch any prey that touched it.

Several tomb raiders placed the mechanism in a hidden spot and then covered it with some grass.

"Where's the bait?" one of the tomb raiders asked after the traps were set.

Upon hearing his words, one of the tomb raiders next to him quickly took out a sausage.

The tomb raider reached out and took it, placing it next to the mechanism, waiting for his prey to take the bait.

"Are you sure you can catch it? This bait is our last bit of meat. If you can't catch the prey, we'll lose out." One of the tomb raiders looked at the well-hidden mechanism and couldn't help but ask.

"Look at your pathetic self!" The man was immediately retorted by the tomb raider from before: "With so many traps, how could you not catch any prey? I saw so many footprints when I came here before, there's plenty of prey here."

Hearing him say that, the man thought it made sense, nodded, and said nothing more.

"Alright, alright, everyone move aside and don't make a sound, or we won't catch anything even after a whole day," one of the tomb raiders said to the crowd.

Upon hearing his words, everyone realized what was happening and retreated, hiding behind trees and bushes, keeping a distance from the traps and mechanisms.

Yan Yu and Shen Jin were crouching behind a large clump of grass, their eyes fixed on the trap in the distance, waiting to see how long it would take for prey to take the bait and be caught.

However, after a long time, there was still no movement.

Shen Jin couldn't help but glance at the tomb raiders and found that they didn't seem impatient at all.

"Shen Jin," Yan Yu called out softly to Shen Jin.

Hearing Yan Yu call his name, Shen Jin withdrew his gaze and turned to look at Yan Yu with a puzzled expression.

"Why don't we make a trap too? We're bored anyway, and once we're done, we can find another place to hide," Yan Yu said to Shen Jin.

Upon hearing Yan Yu's words, Shen Jin was slightly taken aback.

"Can you do it?" Shen Jin frowned and asked with some doubt.

“I can do the simpler ones,” Yan Yu replied.

Shen Jin's brows furrowed even more deeply.

"Then what do you want to do?" Shen Jin hesitated for a moment before asking.

Upon hearing Shen Jin's words, Yan Yu immediately began to explain to Shen Jin.

"That's right, we can dig a hole in the ground and then lay a layer of grass on top of it. When a wild rabbit walks by, it will fall right into the hole," Yan Yu explained very seriously.

After hearing this, Shen Jin was speechless.

"Have you been watching too many cartoons?" Shen Jin couldn't help but ask.

The tomb raiders also stared without moving.

"What are you two doing?" one of the tomb raiders asked, noticing the movements of Shen Jin and Yan Yu.
