Chapter 3 I Can't Forget Him Last Night

Chu Rou pushed He Wei away, "I went out last night, went to a bar to drink, and then slept with some random man. I did everything you told me not to do."

"Why should I listen to you and be a good girl in your eyes, while you act like a scumbag!"

Chu Rou pulled her suitcase out of the bedroom, saying, "Let's pretend we're strangers from now on!"

Chu Rou left without looking back.

He Wei stood there, fists clenched, gritting his teeth as he uttered two words: "He...Yin..."

Chu Rou put her suitcase in the trunk and sat in the car. Where should she go?

Go home? No way, her mother would nag her to death. She needs a quiet environment to calm down for a while.

Renting another place on my own seems a bit too hasty.

She thought of her half-brother, Shen Luo.

Shen Luo is a junior in college and rents a house off-campus. Chu Rou decided to stay with him for a few days.

Shen Luo had sent Chu Rou her location, wanting her to go and see it.

Chu Rou drove to the building where Shen Luo lived, following the GPS location, before remembering to call Shen Luo.

Shen Luo answered Chu Rou's call immediately, "Sis! Why did you call me today?"

"Hehe, Xiao Luo, I miss you. I'd like to stay at your place for a few days. Is that convenient?" Chu Rou tried her best to make her tone gentle.

Shen Luo held the phone up to his eyes and glanced at it. After confirming that it was Chu Rou calling, he asked uncertainly, "Are you Chu Rou?"

"Shen Luo, what do you mean? You can't even recognize my voice?"

Shen Luo breathed a sigh of relief. It really was his sister. "Is this the right tone you should use? You startled me. Did He Wei agree to you moving out?"

Hearing He Wei's name, Chu Rou felt irritated. "Let me go upstairs first, open the door for me!"

Chu Rou hung up the phone after she finished speaking.

Shen Luo stood there, stunned. What did his sister mean?

Before he could react, the doorbell rang. When Shen Luo saw Chu Rou's face, he quickly pressed the open button and let Chu Rou into the building.

Shen Luo opened the door, pressed the elevator button for Chu Rou, and waited for Chu Rou at the elevator entrance.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, Chu Rou stepped out, pulling a large suitcase.

"Sis, are you running away from home?"

When Chu Rou saw her younger brother, the grievances in her heart welled up up. She hugged Chen Luo and said, "Xiao Luo, I've been cheated on. I'm so sad. I feel like I want to die."

Shen Luo's face darkened. "Sister, are you saying He Wei has other women?"

Chu Rou nodded, "That jerk, I broke up with him, so I have nowhere to stay for the time being. I'll stay here with you for a couple of days."

Shen Luo took her suitcase, put his arm around her, and led her into the house. "You can stay here!"

"That bastard He Wei, I won't let him get away with this!"

Chu Rou hummed in agreement, not taking Shen Luo's words to heart.

She walked around Shen Luo's house and found it to be quite large. "Xiao Luo, do you live alone?"

“There’s another classmate,” Shen Luo replied in a low voice, his mood clearly downcast upon learning that Chu Rou had been cheated on. “He lives in the south bedroom on the left.”

Chu Rou hadn't expected Shen Luo to be sharing an apartment with someone else. She frowned. "Wouldn't it be inappropriate for me to come and stay? What if your classmates have objections?"

“No, we have a very good relationship,” Shen Luo led Chu Rou to his bedroom. “Sister, you can stay in my room.”

"So where do you live?"

Shen Luo pointed to the study in the middle, "I live in the study, there's room for a single bed."

"Sis, you pack your things first, I'm going out to buy some things."

Chu Rou tossed the car keys to Shen Luo, "Then you can take my car, it'll be more convenient!"

Shen Luo took the car keys, turned around and left.

Chu Rou hung her clothes in the closet, changed the bed sheets and duvet cover, and after finishing her work, Shen Luo still hadn't returned. Exhausted from a day of fussing, she lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

Mo Chi didn't sleep much last night and has been catching up on sleep in his room ever since he got back, so he didn't go to class.

After waking up, he left his bedroom and went to the refrigerator to find something to eat.

He walked into the living room and found a large suitcase there. Somewhat puzzled, he saw that Shen Luo's room was ajar, so he pushed the door open and asked loudly, "Shen Luo, what's with that suitcase?"

Chu Rou was awakened by Mo Chi's shout. She sat up, rubbed her eyes, and found a naked man standing at the door.

No! He was wearing flesh-colored underwear.

Chu Rou blinked, thinking the boy had a good physique. After looking at him a few more times, she covered her eyes and exclaimed, "Ah!"

Mo Chi was also startled. After a moment of stunned silence, he recognized Chu Rou. "Holy crap! Old woman!"

Upon hearing the words "old woman," Chu Rou lowered her hand and stopped pretending. Being called an old woman by two men in one day was really making her mental state collapse.

She stood up, hands on her hips, and said, "You're the old one! Your whole family is old! I'm only 26 this year, how am I old!"

Such a familiar conversation!

Mo Chi raised an eyebrow. Chu Rou's reaction seemed to indicate that she didn't recognize him. He tentatively asked, "You don't recognize me?"

"Are you a gold ingot or a silver ingot? Do I have to know you?"

Mo Chi cleared his throat and asked awkwardly, "Who are you? What are you doing in Shen Luo's room?"

“I’m Shen Luo’s older sister, and I’m staying here for a few days,” Chu Rou explained, glancing at Mo Chi’s body. “It’s getting cold, shouldn’t you wear more clothes?”

Mo Chi then realized that he was only wearing his underwear. He closed the door, went back to his room, and put on his clothes. He was a little annoyed that the old woman had taken advantage of him again!

The door to Mo Chi's room was suddenly pushed open, and Chu Rou asked anxiously, "Do you have a car? Shen Luo was arrested and taken to the police station for assaulting someone!"

"Why would Shen Luo get into a fight?"

Mo Chi was puzzled. In his impression, Shen Luo was a very good-tempered, easy-going person, an upright and ambitious person, and a sunny young man.

At school, no one knew Mo Chi's background. He was always low-key, aloof, and rarely interacted with others. Only Shen Luo caught his eye, and the two were practically inseparable.

Shen Luo wanted to move out to prepare for her postgraduate entrance exam, so he rented a place with her.

In fact, Mo Chi had already bought the apartment and symbolically charged Chen Luo a small amount of rent.

"Oh dear, I don't have time to explain to you whether you have a car or not. My car was taken by Chen Luo." Chu Rou was extremely anxious.

Mo Chi picked up the car keys. "Yes, let's go!"

The two drove to the police station. Chu Rou spotted Shen Luo immediately. She ran to Shen Luo's side, turned him around, and looked him up and down. "Xiao Luo, are you hurt?"

"I'm not injured," Shen Luo said with a stern face, staring at the person next to her with hostility.

Chu Rou followed Shen Luo's gaze and saw He Wei. His left cheek was obviously swollen, and he had a big dark circle under his eye!

Chu Rou felt disgusted when she saw him and quickly looked away.

"Rou Rou!" He Wei saw Chu Rou and became emotional. He walked over and pulled her, "Come back with me."

"He Wei, can't you understand human language? I've already said it's over between us." Chu Rou dodged He Wei's hand.

He Wei's eyes were dark. "There are no feelings between me and He Yin. From beginning to end, you are the only one in my heart."

"He Yin?" Shen Luo grabbed He Wei's collar. "You cheated on me with He Yin? He Wei, are you even human? Did you ever consider my sister's feelings?!"

He Wei pushed Shen Luo away and approached Chu Rou, "Rou Rou, I didn't cheat on you. He Yin... she was just a target for my frustrations."

“Rou Rou, give me a chance,” He Wei paused for a moment, “and I will forget what you did last night.”

Ugh! Chu Rou turned her head away, afraid that if she looked at He Wei again, she would throw up.

Chu Rou turned her head and saw Mo Chi watching the melons on the side. She walked to Mo Chi's side, took his arm, and said to He Wei, "You can forget, but I can't."
